I always knew about this location but in all the years that I've visited Manoa Marketplace, I've never had a reason to step in the door. This visit was motivated by the need for my passport to be renewed. I initially went to Longs Drugs in the same shopping complex. I wanted to pay for a digital copy of my photo but their system was down. So, I got on Yelp to look for options. I was not aware that UPS does passport photos. I guess they should've paid more attention to their commercial saying that they offer a lot of different services. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted, and stated that he would be with me even though there was another customer ahead of me. I love the fact that the person acknowledged my presence and didn't ignore me. The process of taking my photo with the card and digital copies was quick and painless. What I really loved is that he asked me to double check whether or not I was happy with the photo. Better yet, their price was lower than Longs Drugs. I walked out of the store happy with what I paid for and was on my way to renew my passport. Manoa marketplace has lots of free parking in an area where you never feel rushed. I've been to this UPS store twice since it's close to my job. I went to return an Amazon purchase . It was the first time using UPS for a return so I was not sure of the process. The man helping me was nice, but the lady behind the counter kept interrupting our conversation and was very rude. I was willing to purchase the tape to tape the package, but she made like it was too expensive for me. The second time I went to ship my computer to Asurion with a prepaid label. The lady did not greet me. I placed the large box on the counter with the shipping label facing her. Her comment was "what, what should I do with that?" After showing her the label, she scanned it. Then she rudely implied that I should put the other box on the counter. It was very obvious that the boxes belonged to the people behind me and that we were not together. I have never encountered such poor customer service. The lady is so rude and grouchy. I can't imagine how it would be if I had some questions. I will never go Back to Manoa ups, I will drive farther just to avoid that store read more

I love this UPS. It's not the closest option but the people here make it the only UPS I will use. EVERYONE is nice! The parking is easy because it's in Manoa Marketplace. Today was the cherry on top, I was returning two packages, my hands were full, and one of the shop persons opened the door for me. Just came to open the door. It was such an act of kindness, it made my day. They have a good supply of your packing needs. I had to reup my shipping tape today, it was $5 for a heavy duty roll. I was expecting to be gouged because of the convenience of purchasing when needed. I am sure I could have gotten it cheaper elsewhere but it was still cheaper than I thought it would be. read more

The UPS Store in the Manoa Shopping Center to the right of Safeway! FREE PARKING - in the shopping center parking lot! I was able to find parking easily in the shopping center's parking lot. Parking is free and plentiful. Exactly what I like especially when I just want this to be a quick trip in and out of the UPS Store. They easily took my Amazon returns as I was well-prepared with an organized set of UPC bar codes stored in my cell phone. They are courteous, kind, and efficient. So long as you are in the door before the store hours end, they will assist you. The only thing I didn't like is that they charge a whole $1 for printing labels (a little label!). You email your label to their email address (listed on the counter) and they will find your email and print it out. Because of this policy is why I try to avoid this store as much as possible even if my return shipping (for Amazon) are free. read more

I've been using UPS service for over 30+ years, as the company I work for uses UPS exclusively to ship parts and other items all across the world. I will have to admit that my normal "goto" UPS stores were - the Kahala location (just next door from Domo Cafe), or the Kapahulu location (just a block away from Popeye's frrrrrrried chicken). I find these two locations to pretty easy access as far as parking goes,, and the service is always fast & friendly. Recently, I discovered a new UPS store location, as this new store is located in the Manoa Marketplace Shopping Center. I actually found this store by fluke, as I was doing work just next door in a bank (American Savings Bank to be exact). Although this new UPS store is rather small, this store does have mailboxes, a few computer workstations, & a copy machine located inside the store. But the best thing I like about this store, is that the store is not too far from my office, and since the store is in a shopping center, there is an abundance of free parking here. If ever your in the Manoa neighborhood, and need to ship something out, give this UPS store a try! read more

I work from home and live in an inconvenient apartment building that experiences issues with large volume of packages. I shopped around between several UPS franchise stores but I ultimately chose UPS Manoa because they offer the best prices and have convenient parking right outside. Their Private Business Mailbox service is basically like a P.O. box that can also accept large boxes and parcels too. I find it invaluable to have it. Lyle and Stephanie are AMAZING! Seriously exceptional customer service and a friendly experience overall. They are always helpful and caring, something you don't always receive with customer service, and I even get help bringing large packages to my car. They make me feel valued as a customer which is why I keep coming back. I have already renewed for another year with them and despite inflation their prices remain very reasonable. The wait times are very brief. Very rarely do I need to wait to get helped, and when traffic does occur, they know how to organize people and at least acknowledge me that I have arrived and am waiting for them. The fact that they have lower than usual prices but offer better than average service is truly unreal. This is easily my favorite UPS store in Honolulu! By far! Overall, if you need shipping or mailbox services, I can definitely give my recommendation to the UPS Store Manoa. With decent prices, great service, and convenient parking, what's not to love? I have had such a poor customer service experience at this UPS Store. I thought from the reviews that I would walk away feeling that I was well taken care of. The older woman assisting me had a lackluster attitude and really didn't want to assist in any way. I felt that she really didn't want to be there. I expected that the workers would know and follow through with the best packing necessary to get my goods to the destination in good condition. However, she asked me if I wanted it packed in the box that it came in. It was a flimsy box. I started to really doubt this woman's knowledge base. I should have picked up my goods and left. Well, I will see if my package arrived in good condition or not. To be fair, the other workers seem to be very accommodating. Our neighborhood has been dealing with some mailbox thefts recently, so I'm looking at maybe getting a post office box. The two people working were very nice and helpful. The pricing is higher than the post office, but the customer service is superior and without the long waits. This UPS Store has to be the best! I got a PO Box thinking that the Manoa Post Office was going to close which ended up staying open. Even though the rate is higher here I decided to stay because the service is excellent. They always acknowledge you as you enter. What amazes me is that they all remember your name and box number. Last noght I went in right before closing and to make copies of over 100 sheets of different flyers. The young man there did it and was so polite. He really showed true customer service. Most places when you go in that late to do what I did would have given you attitude or turned you away. I can go on about all the things that they do over and beyond. Definitely go to this location if you can't stand the horrendous traffic and parking conditions with the other UPS stores on this list. It shares a large spacious parking lot with a Safeway along with a few other small businesses. In and out is as good as it gets. I have utilized the services of the Manoa branch of UPS quite a lot recently, including their notarial service, and packing and shipping documents, and binding documents into booklets. I have been there so frequently, that they greet me by my first name when I walk in! They are all friendly. On the basis of that experience, I can tell you that not everybody who works there is well-trained and knowledgeable. But there is one employee... his name is Renn... who is nothing less than awesome!! He is very smart, very knowledgeable, and very conscientious, despite being the youngest employee. If you are there, and you encounter some sort of problem that your clerk can't seem to resolve, ask to get Renn involved. If it can be resolved, Renn will do it. I do not exaggerate. With Renn there, having the UPS in Manoa Valley Shopping Center has proven to be a godsend for those of us who live nearby. read more

Having an ups store in Manoa was much needed and for that and the convenience is worth 4 stars alone. The customer service is not so great. It's not bad all the time but it's not consistently good either. Maybe it's better if you are already familiar with the owners. From my experience, if you are just dropping off a package and it's good to go, just need a scan and receipt - service is fine. Anything more than that seems to be met with annoyance. That's just my impression, I could be reading it wrong. The last time I dropped off a package, I packaged the items at home in the same plastic shipping envelope the items came in, added the shipping label secured with clear packing tape and along the bag/envelope seal just in case. However, after the store scanned the package I noticed a small rip on the corner of the envelope. I usually bring packing tape with me if I'm packing at the store or post office but hadn't that day because I didn't think I'd need to. I asked the man who scanned the package if they would be able to add a small piece of tape to cover the hole and apologized for missing it before I brought it to his store. He clearly looked annoyed and thought I was one of those people who expected them to provide tape and pack items for free for them. I missed a tear (likely caused by a pet post packing). I felt bad, apologized and told him I would run to my car - that I probably had tape in the car. Yes, I do this often enough to have packing tape, box cutters & sharpies in my car. He reluctantly took a small piece of scotch tape from his dispenser and covered the tear. I hope it holds. I probably should have told him not to go out of his way and gone to the car for tape or just taken the package back and gone to the Kahala UPS location the next day, after covering the tear with my own tape at home. I understand UPS stores don't provide packing supplies and pack items for free. But it was inadvertent on my part and a one time first time thing. The package was taped up pretty securely otherwise so it was obvious it was inadvertent. A little grace wouldn't have killed him. To be fair, not everyone who works there is unpleasant. I still think it's good there's a ups store in Manoa, because there is a need. I'm sure they will do fine regardless. read more

I needed a school document notarized and learned online that the max.notary fee in Hawaii is 5 dollars,while another article-- the only one I could find online on this subject--states that UPS notary service is free of charge--so I was shocked when, after the notary there signed my paper, while I was leaving,he said : "Hey, you haven't paid your bill"--and then I was charged not 5$ --the maximum legal fee--but $15.68--more than 3 times the maximum legal charge--When I asked what this extra charge was , they said it's their "clerical services" fee. Beware of these misrepresentations that violate and "work around" the well-known legal maximum rates and practices--and action should definitely be taken to stop UPS from such practices, which clearly violate the basic rules of our state and our country. PS--In addition, UPS info and hours/services here are clearly inconsistent and troubling: i came to Manoa because the at the Kahala UPS they told me that they only notarized in the mornings--and that each UPS office makes their own notary hours---but online no one tells us of this at all--Constant misinformation about services, hours and charges--Please , customers take note--and UPS Hawaii--and elsewhere ?--Clean up your act. read more

I had the BEST experience with this store when shipping antique dishes to the mainland. The dishes were more than 100 years old and I was nervous about them breaking. However, this UPS store packed them so well that nothing broke. They also arrived at their destination in less than one week. The folks working there were kind and patient.
