Kudos to the employees at The UPS Store 3229. I was here to ship some company equipment using CAMS system (don't ask me what it is). I tried store 1656 on the other side of Beltway. They didn't seem to understand how call for help. The instructions were not completely helpful to them. It was more like system issues than knowledge. The guy helped me had to call the help desk, who then offered an alternative solution. I believe that worked out. I checked the tracking number daily after that. It made it to the truck after the weekend and delivered a week later. I really appreciate how late they stayed to help after closing time. There is an older gentleman who is very patient and takes his time to help with your shipments. He really makes sure that everything is accurate and I so appreciate it. I visited this store on 7/10/2024 at 9:40am to drop off a package for a customer in Vegas who purchased an item from me on Facebook Market. I emailed my label to the store, and I paid an additional dollar for them to print out my label for the shipment and received my receipt and went about my day. It is now the 7/7/2024 and the only information found for my tracking (last 6 digits 199381) was the drop off at this location. The customer and i have been in contact this whole time, with both parties doing a bit of research to attempt to find this package. I even visited the store again around 6:30pm on 7/16/2024 and was told to just call customer service and keep pressing zero until I'm able to speak with someone. It would have been a little more help if someone would at least look to see if a box had been pushed aside and lost but unfortunately that was not the type of service that was not available to me as a customer. The employee just stood before me with his answer and that was that. Now I have to file a claim and hopefully either have my package, which was wrapped in a Home Depot box, found or be refunded the value of the item now lost. read more

Terrible service. My order states I don't need to have a box or label just QR code and sand it over. I've done that before at other locations. Lady at the counter also said that I would do it, but my manager doesn't like that and I got in trouble. I get in trouble last time so clearly it's possible Managers help was repeating I don't know, I've never experienced it. I won't go anywhere else. The people behind the desk are always super helpful! They even give receipts for regular mail drop offs. They do everything right. I have a UPS store closer to my home but they're terrible so I bypass it and drive to this location for all my shipping. I even went today and they gave me a quote and gave me comparable quotes from DHL and then told me the cheapest route would be the post office! This is a joke of a UPS store. They'll come up with excuses to not do their job and will do everything in their power to get you out of the building. I came in needing to print 3 pages from a PDF, nothing big. I had my documents on a USB drive. The long haired teenager behind the counter tells me they can't print from USB and that I'd need to email it. Okay, not a problem, everything is going digital these days. So I drive all the way home, email the document, then drive all the way back. I wait in line AGAIN, and when it's my turn I tell them I've emailed the document like they asked me too. I ask them to print it for me, but only a couple pages. I don't need the whole book, just the last couple pages(again, nothing difficult). The kid behind the counter looks at me like I just asked him to play a bass solo in the middle of the store. I work in technology/IT, so I offered to help him "I can show you how to do that if you're not sure". He looks at me like I just offered him a moldy sandwich. He goes in the back for 2 minutes, and comes back to report that "it's not opening". I mean really, a .pdf that is open on my phone in gmail right in front of him, is suddenly "not opening", AFTER he already shoo'd me away to email it instead. That was a clear lie, and the kid sold it poorly. He was just tying to get out of doing his job. And there's no way I'm going to drive all the way home to resend this file, because the guy behind the counter verify clearly was not interested in helping me at all. Not recommended. This is completely disappointing to say, but I noticed my experiences at UPS is always horrible. Just a heads up if you want to go here, they charge you a dollar for using their tape. To top it off apparently they do not take the Amazon code. I walked in today with my package with my Amazon code to return my item. Amazon's return states we can just scan the code and they'll help us package. Meanwhile I came in here to an unhelpful worker who told me to go print my shipping label at home. He didn't even try to help me scan the code and so I ended up leaving to go to another UPS store. Wasted 20 minutes of my time driving here. read more

I have a box here because I don't like getting mail at my condo. So I'm in here at least 4 days out of the week getting my mail and packages or sending something out. I've always had great service from everyone here, Tom who is the owner, his sister, Mario, Eduardo, Jessica and Stephanie. They are super helpful and even help me carry my packages to the car if I have a bunch!!! I am so glad I got a box here rather than the one on Richmond, which I'll do a review about shortly. read more

I've never really had an issue with the service here, but they allow their dog to roam around this store. There have been two instance where I have seen the dog walking around behind the counter where the packages are kept. I'm assuming this dog is well trained, but customers have allergies, are sensitive to smells, and dog accidents happen. Animals should not be allowed around our packages, which go home with us. The store also smells like a dog when you walk in as well. You can smell it immediately when you walk through the doors. read more

I have had a mail box at this location for about 5 years. Tom and his crew are really good! Professional, attentive and efficient. Sometimes it does get busy, but each customer gets what they need. If an occasional mistake is made they do their best to make it right. What more can you ask? This place sets a good example that other locations should follow. This is the BEST UPS Store. Tom and his employees are always so helpful. When I receive large boxes, etc., they are more than happy to carry them to my car. They let me know when packages arrive, they keep an eye out for lost mail, they do everything they can to make a visit there pleasant. As far as Linus, the sweet little dog, is concerned, he is almost like a "service" dog as he is always calming when I rush in from a very frustrating day. He is always behind the counter and not a problem to anyone. I love this store and everyone who works there....great group of guys. I honestly can't believe how easy this place made my return. I had to ship something back that I'd bought online. I'd never used the UPS store before and I was nervous it would be complicated or that I'd need to buy tape or a box, but the gentleman behind the counter made it so easy. He packaged up my item and got me a return tracking number and took care of me within like 45 seconds. Amazing. Can't imagine an easier process. He did not write the address and the name correctly, although I spelled it all to him, and after giving it away I gave it to another worker. And he did not even apologize.
