UPS STORE #2690 NEXT TO BAGEL BIN in Huntersville, NC Questionable business practices. Absolutely! I don't typically post a review, but when I feel a business is unethical it is important to me that the community. I hope what happened to me does not happen to anyone else. A friend of mine took a package into UPS store #2690 on Feb 5, 2026 for a guaranteed over night delivery to me in Austin, TX on Feb 6, 2026. The store charged $214.00. On Feb 6th I tracked the package. It was delayed due to weather. But how can that be? There were no weather issues in Charlotte or Austin, and if there was why did they accept the package for overnight delivery? Yes, there were weather issues the previous week, but that was the previous week. When I contacted the UPS store owner/manager, Issa, I was told they could not be accountable for weather. The package would not be delivered until three days later. To make matters worse because I was no longer in the Austin area to receive the package he wanted to charge me $100.00 to reroute it. Completely unethical in my opinion. After going around and around with Issa hoping to get a full refund, he offered me a $75.00 store credit. Sorry, that doesn't cut it. Rather than accept an offer like that and keep quiet I would rather not, and post this in hopes that it will help someone avoid this situation in the future and go elsewhere to ship overnight packages. read more

Encountered an extremely rude and unhappy woman this AM. I placed my package on the counter and then she gives me a plank stare. No good morning, thank you for using ups, just a rude stare then she shrugs her shoulders and said "what". ??? I had to point to the shipping label right in front of her. I recently went to this store to have some documents notarized. Though there was a line, I was particularly impressed with Issa, who was efficiently helping each customer in a friendly and professional manner. When it was time for us to have documents notarized and for him to obtain some witnesses for the process, he again was as efficient as could be. In this day where polite, focused service is becoming more rare, it was on full display at the UPS store in Huntersville. Kudos to the team there! read more

I have used this UPS store going on 13 years and in the first 12 years I really had very little issues. I always felt that I was treated well and my visits were quick and efficient. But over the last year it seems that the only people working there are not there for work. Either you are not greeted, you are treated like an imbecile, or you just aren't spoken to at all. I have used many of the other locations around and honestly, I have never had a similar experience. Flash drive my husband forgot for his class in Oklahoma. I went to this UPS store in Huntersville. Said we needed it to arrive by 12noon Oklahoma time Friday. 2nd day air with an extra charge for the time requested. Just tracked the package it will be there by 9p AFTER THE CLASS. I called this place and said you charged me EXTRA for the arrival time. The answer "During Covid we can not guarantee arrival times" "Well then why did you charge me extra for a guarantee are you nuts is that some kind of bait and switch nonsense? I want a credit. Stopped in to drop off a UPS package but didn't have the label for it. I rarely don't print them out myself but when I do I feel like every other location offers it for free. They'll print out the sticker label and slap it on the box. I walked in today and the woman behind the counter quickly said $3 to print the label. $3?! It didn't help that she had a bad attitude and tone. $.50... $1.. maybe... but $3?! Craziness. Reminded me of why I visit the Reese Blvd and Cornelius locations. They're friendly and helpful. Showed up at 9:40 yesterday with a small package with a prepaid label to ship some product back to dish network. The asshole inside was looking at me as apparently they were not going to open until 10. I signaled to him that I was just gonna leave the package outside the door as I really didn't want to go in with all the virus stuff, and wasn't going to wait 20 min to hand him a box.. Used this UPS location for shipping and Amazon returns frequently only because other options were thought to be worse. Have grown to dread getting the manager because he comments on every item I bring in a lame attempt to be funny. when a simple "hello", "thank you" and "have a nice day will do". I only came here because it was my closest option. Most recently dropped off a return for Amazon and had to buy a box to ship it in when the bulk bins were two feet away and with room. In the dozens of Amazon returns I have never had to buy a box. Did not appreciate the argumentative tone about it nor feeling as though i was being conned. One of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I had a UPS package sent to me by mistake. I was just trying to get it to the right person, paying out of my own pocket since neither the originating UPS store, nor UPS customer service would take any ownership. The guy "helping" me did nothing of the sort. He had a poor attitude, insisting it wasn't "UPS", but rather the "UPS Store" and refused to send the package without knowing what was in it. How would I know, it wasn't my package, it was sent by mistake BY UPS. It had a tracking number, I'm sure he could have researched if he had any idea of what customer service was like. He said they needed to know for my protection and if the package got lost. Duh...the package was already lost, as I had explained. I ended up leaving and shipped it out from another UPS location. Great and honest people work here!! I left my wallet on the counter Saturday while dropping off a package. After searching my house and car for hours I all but gave up finding it. Retracing my last known time using my wallet I went back Monday morning asking if maybe I had left it there as my last hope. Sure enough the friendly girl behind the counter smiled and said they had been holding it hoping I would figure out I left it there. It's nice to be reminded that there are honest and trustworthy people in our town! THANK YOU to the great employees at this business, you made my day!! The worse store ever to walk in...As I was waiting to be helped, which wasn't the problem, I heard the conversation between the owner, I believe his name was Henry and a older gentleman that had Parkinson's disease. Henry was angry and very belligerent to the man. He was almost yelling at him because the man was not able to answer Henry in a quick response. Also then he took the phone from the customer and yelled to have him turn off the speaker. If i didn't have a return already marked to ship and been standing there for some time I would have left. I would suggest never stepping foot in the store due to a ugly, mean spirited owner. So if you want to be yelled at or treated ugly, go to this store. I went into the store this morning to print my prepaid shipping label and send off my package. The charge was $3.27!! (After it was already printed and affixed). I inquired into the charge and was told it was store policy to charge $3 for pulling up the email with the label in it and $0.25 for the copy. The associate was nice enough about it but this is ridiculous charge for pulling up an email. I will definitely take all printing and shipping business elsewhere. I have been with this Huntersville UPS Store for many years as services client including a mailbox and postage needs. The staff is always friendly and they know me by name when I walk in the door. UPS rates are higher than USPS and you do have to buy a box however I gladly allow them to package my shipments for me saving me time and hassle. Typically when I go to this store I am in and out. However, this past Saturday (2/4/17) - one of the busiest days for people to visit a UPS store mind you - there was only one employee present trying to help about 8 to 10 customers. I'm sure it's not her fault that she was the only one scheduled so I'm placing the blame on the owners of the store. I had to mail two packages yet I had to wait at least 30 minutes for her to assist me. I'm top of that, I'm sure she was trying to be friendly, there was just too much small talk and chitchat her from her with me and with all of the other employees. It was quite annoying. If you know you have a long line of customers waiting just saying " hello" and the very minimum and keep it moving. read more

This UPS store has awesome service! I had a few packages shipped to the store from the Midwest. I received a call saying they arrived and that they will be ready for pickup whenever I was ready. The person at the store in Huntersville was very nice, patient and helpful. I was extremely concerned putting them in my car because I knew how heavy they were. I wish I remembered his name! He grabbed a dolly and placed my packages in the trunk of my SUV. I'm so glad I chose this store! I'll definitely use their services again!!! read more

They advertise as being open at 8:00 am on weekdays. I was there at 8:50 am on a Wednesday and all the lights were off. I was about to turn around and leave and somebody just turned the lights on and opened up the store. This is bad for a business like this. The final price seemed high, but service was slow and the line was long so I left. I then saw a 2.85 and 3.41 service charges I was not informed about. I would give this store zero stars if it was an option. My experience with them was shipping something to a family members and they were charging a "UPS gas surcharge" there is no such thing as a "UPS gas surcharge" so that money the store is pocketing and I contacted ups about this matter. They explained that there is no such thing and it is hard for UPS to regulate what the stores do. I will never return to this store and I live less than a mile away.
