I've been going to this location for months with no issues, I did however notice they provided their Caucasian customers with extra good service but I let that slide. I stopped going to the UPS store by Walmart on Fort Apache because the old lady there is rude but has shown considerable improvement in her customer service skills and acknowledging her waiting customers. Today at this location I was serviced by the old man that's there. Be aware that My boxes were large and heavy (see photo) and I had multiple that I had to go back and forth to grab. I put them on the weigh scale and went back to grab another I staged by the entrance. This gentleman would slide my boxes off the counter and let them slam on the floor. I was not ok with this so I voiced my concern, I told him to be careful with my packages and he just brushed me off. That is the sole reason for my review. He could've asked me or the other employee working there for assistance if he's too weak. I'm a military veteran and a registered nurse, I deserve equal respect and appreciation as any other paying customer. I'm really disappointed this situation transpired. I have experienced multiple instances of rude and abrasive customer service at the location. The larger woman with black hair who works the front desk is coarse every time I've gone there. This one closes at 6:30 pm on weekdays, which is really appreciated when we want to drop off an outgoing package (with the label on it- it's usually a return). We've been here a few times (all returns- the label was provided), over the past couple years, and there are no issues with this one. Usually just one clerk working. Clean store. Rude Clerk I just witnessed a kind citizen get berated by a rude clerk at this location. The kind citizen was trying to drop off a package to the UPS folks so they could deliver it to the correct location or return to sender. unfortunately the clerk thought it was alcohol when it was actually water, the clerk then accused the citizen of opening it the box, when he didn't. After all accusations and attempts to deny shipping service, the kind citizen had an opportunity to explain he was simply retiring the package to UPS so they could ship it to the correct address. Management: please make sure your staff is there to help the customer rather than try to deny them at every opportunity. I go to this location often and it's just 1 individual who treats customers like this. Everyone else is great. Find out who this "no-bot" is and tech him to listen first, be polite, and treat customers with respect. The girl that works the counter is the most horrible unhappy human being on earth. The attitude she has towards customers is just the worse. Greeeeeedy owner. Terrible gouging. In order to print my shipping labels I had to use their printer. I expect a fee but holy crap. They charge you $5 for "computer usage" and $1 for the first page and some nominal increment for more pages. "Computer usage" is such a CRAZY thing to charge for, but $5 for 15 seconds of computer usage is an even crazier rate. That's a rate of $240 per hour. I now drive 3 extra miles to get to the UPS store on Desert inn and Durango. They have excellent service and do not charge for "computer usage". read more

I came on here to see if I'm crazy or if other people have also had repeated absolutely horrid experiences with the woman who works here. It's TRUE, she will say something so rude within a few seconds of you interacting that could completely ruin your day unless you go in there with armor. I have been coming here for YEARS and thought the staff was absolutely lovely until they hired this woman. I stopped coming here even for a while but had to go today because it's the closest to my house and I needed to get something out. She was so disgustingly rude when I was so kind and asked a simple "which package do you think would be best for the item I need to ship?" I was VERY quickly reminded again why I started avoiding this place last year. I had my daughter with me and felt even more sad for the situation at hand, that she could see another human spewing hate and anger to a stranger just looking for some customer service! It does not matter how quick your visit is- if you're returning something with a QR code, dropping something off, looking to purchase supplies, etc., she will say something in a matter of seconds to you or someone she is "helping" that could derail your innocent lovely day lol! Both employees working were extremely rude to another customer that came in for a notary appt at 11:30, they argued with her in front of other customers and told her the appointment was for 12:30 or that she came to the wrong location instead of working with her at the time she came in. I didn't have a box taped and they charged me for a whole roll of tape just to tape the box. And no, they didn't give me a roll of tape after. Such a rip off. This is the UPS near our home and this was the last time I went. This has been a constant interaction with poor customer service and just rude. I had the wrong QR code for a package and the women walked away and sighed in annoyance. I return things frequently so I stepped aside and did what I needed to do. Additionally I come prepared to tape anything as the times I forgot they drill me that they can't do it and I need to read directions better so now I keep packing tape with me at all times. I told the woman have a great day and nothing in return. I understand people have bad days or don't love their job but the disrespect from this location is just awful. I know this may not do anything or change their behavior but I'll drive an extra 5-10 mins to go somewhere else and I encourage anyone else to do the same. read more

Went in today to process four Amazon returns that I had carried in, in an open box for convenience sake. One of the items needed to be boxed to ship. Fine, I thought, since I had a box. I asked the woman working there if I could have some tape. She wanted to charge me for the tape. We have been paying for a P.O. Box there since 2011 (13 years...13, let that sink in),I have bought (and overpaid) for stamps, mailers, etc over those many, many years and they couldn't spare a strip of tape without charging me?!?! I was so disgusted I asked to cancel my mailbox which was pre-paid for another 4 months, but they would not issue a refund for the fees. I asked for a manager and the man working there said that he was not in, oh, and it's his Dad so.... A final slap in the face, as I am leaving the man working there shouts out, "Have a nice day"! Completely patronizing me. I took my Amazon returns to the UPS Store located at 11035 Lavender Hill Dr. I used the same box to package it and guess what.........NO CHARGE FOR THE TAPE, I don't even have a mailbox there. this has always been my favorite ups store. Ruben and the staff are always friendly and helpful. never had an issue dropping off or picking up packages. This location also offer notary services. You can schedule by appointment or if you are lucky can do a walk in. Ruben was great when he did my notary papers. The location also has convenient amenities too in the same plaza. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE TODAY! I took an HOUR of my time to prepare Amazon returns before bringing them in ~ putting items and bags AND printing the QR return codes. It was an DISASTER! My husband initially went into the store as I just had surgery and have difficulty walking. He returned with two items. ALL items had been accounted for, bagged (not needed but done anyway) and had QR codes. SO, I HAD to go in to get this taken care of as there was an obvious mistake. Then, the saga begins....I was told that "printing is old school and my Dad is the owner and that what he does. It doesn't help us, it confuses us. Too much paper!" WHAT?! Then I asked why I've returned with printed QR codes at this store for years with no issue. Further, do they think that everyone has an smartphone for a QR download? If Amazon didn't want them printed for return, why would they offer this option? He just kept arguing and insisting that the "phone" was only way to return. They totally messed up the return, and had to redo it with MY help for a 2nd time! I hobbled back to the car to get my phone since that's what they said they needed for the return. So, not only did they 1) mess up the order, 2)they inconvenienced to do it again on my phone because it was best for them 3) this process took 25 minutes of MY time while standing after surgery. Been coming here since they opened. I won't be returning to the UPS store at Tropicana in the Smith's shopping center. read more

Having been a notary myself, this was not understandable to me that "he" refused to acknowledge on the form provided by a major US Financial Investment firm. I was dropping off a couple packages for Amazon and one of my boxes was ripped so he said I need to repackage it and that if I wanted him to it would be like "15 bucks." Unfortunately I am not made of money so I had to walk to smiths, buy a 5$ roll of tape just to come back and use 6 or 7 strips. The guys could've easily taped the box in like 30 seconds or less but he made me go out of my way to get my own tape. Principle man! Don't make me spend 15 minutes because you're lazy or whatever the reason is. I would've gladly paid a couple bucks to tape my box but 15 dollars is outrageous. Do better ups!!! read more

I was having trouble finding a location with an on-site notary available on a Saturday afternoon...as well as someone who could do passport photos for me too. Three other locations I called didn't have anyone until later in the week. Getting out to do these things during the week is not feasible for me with my work schedule. The gal who helped us out at this location was able to notarize my documents and take our passport photos and we were in and out within 15 minutes. She was very helpful and professional. read more

I needed to get some documents notarized and mail a few packets of documents out for work related things. I've never really had to do that before and so I had no idea what I needed or how it worked. I also needed to print a few things too. The employees there were so incredibly helpful, took care of my printing and notary, and then showed me how to pack everything up and get it ready for mailing. They gave me a few different mailing options and I opted for the one with tracking. Overall it was a great experience considering I was super anxious about the whole thing! !!!AMAZON RETURN CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! I'll start by saying I had a box here for nearly a decade when Mark owned the store. Since Mark sold the store this place has gone down hill. A few situations. 1) I used to pay for a year of box service and get three months free. As soon as the new owner bought he would no longer honor the contract and his reasoning for this was it's against UPS corporate policy. If so I can understand but they won't work with you at all and the boxes are VERY EXPENSIVE. 2) I went to pick up a package that had been delivered to my box at the UPS store. Upon arriving I had checked the tracking showing it had been delivered. They claimed they did not have my package. I offered to show them the tracking number online showing it had been delivered that day. Get this, they wanted to charge me to use the internet to show them that my package had arrived to them. I refused to pay for their mistake so I drove home (luckily I don't like very far). I proceeded to print out the paper showing it had been delivered to them and took the paper back. After looking around for a little bit they said oh it's a big box we didn't look in the back. Due to their lack of responsibility it took and hour of my day to retrieve my package and then trying to change me for the internet for their mistake left a distasteful taste in my mouth. 3) This is my latest another not the end to the list of negative things about this place. (I won't start on the attitude of the employees) (excluding Rubin) is horrific. My number 3 complaint is that if you go to return something with amazon prime as directed by amazon to drop off at the UPS store THIS STORE WILL CHARGE YOU TO PACKAGE YOUR ITEM!!! Amazon does not disclose this and no other UPS store charges me to do an Amazon return. With these three things and a list that could go on and on including customer service as mentioned above I'd recommend you use another postal annex or UPS store. If you choose to come to this location be ready to be nickel and dime to death. read more

How Disappointing. I've done my own shipping for over 10 years now, having a small shop with antiques. But this past week, I had a chance to sell a unique wooden sculpture out of state so research had to be done. My buyer suggested the UPS Store, which I've never used. Barring that, I looked on UPS website, where it's noted by the company "We specialize in properly packing fragile and high-value items, including antiques and collectibles" and "Your neighborhood location can advise you on the best packaging method for your item(s). Contact your neighborhood location to ensure it offers packing and shipping of large or odd-shaped items" I did just that. I brought in photographs of the item, to scale, and gave exact dimensions, including height, weight, even shoe size! Gave them the zip code they required. I requested Insurance of $450.00 and a signature requirement. After two visits to them with ALL of these instructions, I was TWICE given a price of $165.67 for shipping and $45.00 to have THEM pack the item. I wanted a 'professional' to pack this sculpture. After all, that is what the UPS store site claims. I advised my buyer that the total cost estimate would be $215.00. I assumed if the estimate was slightly off, I may have to eat between $10 to $15.00. The manager Ruben saw me twice, suggested that we could use a box dedicated to shipping golf clubs and possibly another 14 inch box, I was confident he had a good plan. That's where it ended. I brought the sculpture in the next week after my buyer agreed to the high price to ship, and was met with "wow, you weren't kidding!" - of course I wasn't 'kidding'. At 76 inches tall, WHICH HE WAS INFORMED, this was a very large piece, but again, he was given photographs to scale and given ALL of the dimensions. He then informed me that it might be a different price. I curiously said to him, " hmm, it should be that much different"? After watching him tap on his keyboard like some scene of annoying ticket agent tap tap tapping to 'adjust' your seating assignment, he pops out with, " yeah, that's going to be about $310.00 to ship this". What??? You underestimated by $100.00?!?! Insanity!! Just how could someone be so off?? I immediately told him this isn't going to bode well for him, or his shop. I am having to go back to my buyer, cancel the order, beg forgiveness, have MY ratings drop as a negative seller, Lose potential future sales to this customer because this guy over estimated his potential as a shipper? He came up with zero excuses, other than saying to me several times, ' it's a rough estimate', it's a rough estimate'. "Mate, being off by, let's say $20.00 is a 'rough' estimate. This is highway robbery!!" I reiterated again to him to expect this review, his response to that " that's ok, I have a discourse" - twice! Unfathomable! I waited a reasonable amount of time to leave feedback, one day. Here is what my buyer and I have come up with. He was scared to ship this item! Knowing it was to be insured, and if he didn't pack it with unbelievable care, it would have come back to bite him! Instead of being honest about it in the first place! Hell, I didn't want to pack the thing! I wanted the 'professional' to do it! Moral to this story? I will never use the UPS Store again for ANY shipping, since they are not capable of calculating a reasonable shipping estimate and honestly, at this point I wouldn't trust them to ship feathers! read more

I use this place from time to time to ship things out or to get some things printed. I see the recent bad 1 star reviews, but fortunately I haven't had a bad experience here. Will is the guy I prefer to help me out. He has great customer service skills, very professional, and is always attentive and willing to help out. I can't say the same for the miserable looking, bald, chubbier guy with the ginger beard; he gives bad looks like he wants to throw down, which I would absolutely give him the works if he ever wanted it. Rarely there is a line at this UPS store, because the staff is attentive and on it! Packing supplies are ever out of stock and dropping off packages is simple and efficient. They can pack it for you, scan anything you wish and create banners as well as a variety of other items.
