This place is a RIP-OFF! Before going to this store, eBay calculated the shipping for my small box, which came out to $14. When I went into this store, they said it was $50! I couldn't believe it. There had to be a mistake. I asked them to remeasure the box. Still the same. I said that there had to be a mistake and asked them to recheck the inputs. There was just no way that small box would cost so much. Guess what. I later found out that the store is a franchise, and they tack on a premium for shipping in-store. Charging a fair premium is fair but FOUR times the price!?!? It's pretty disgusting to rip people off like that. I will say that the employees are nice enough, but they feel like they don't really want to be there. They are just pushing the pencils around enough to do their job. I'm not saying that everyone has to love their job, but retail isn't for everyone. The wife had to send some things back to Amazon, and UPS accepts those returns with or without boxes which is very nice! We recently had about 8 boxes to return. 6 of the 8 worked no issue. We had 2 boxes, including the largest one, that my wife missed her return window, so we could not return it that day. Not UPS fault, but the department in Amazon that my wife had to reach was undergoing maintenance.... So we just did the 6 other boxes. The store is pretty clean, social distancing spaces on the floor, and the staff makes sure that it is followed. I was at the store yesterday and the owner, I think her name was Touty, (I am so sorry if I have this wrong) she was amazing! She was so helpful! I needed to buy boxes to return suitcases and she was so kind, patient, and had a great sense of humor! This was a task I was really dreading and had put off for so long, and she made it much easier for me! As I'm writing this I'm driving back home because their printer was not working. Therefore I could not print my own label. I brought in a really heavy box that I had to ship out. I brought it in myself after struggling with holding the door and bringing the package inside. the lady says we could've helped you I said OK I need help picking it up onto the counter and that's what they helped me. When I was notified that I cannot use their printing service as their printer is not working I have to go back home. I told her I cannot lift that back up into my vehicle again, the older man SAMIR rudely said Mam take this off the counter. Sir. If the machine was working I would've printed my label and went on home. no customer service skills completely rude. The only reason we all go here. AVOID THIS LOCATION!! This morning I stopped at the UPS store in Livingston. Although this is my neighborhood location the tiny parking lot and slow lines often make me regret visiting; and I will NEVER return after today's final straw. I stopped in to return an Amazon item. The item arrived to me in a plastic mailer bag. This is the same type of bag I see available for free at every Post Office, UPS kiosk, or Fed Ed mailbox. I did not have the original mailer bag and so I simply printed the Amazon return barcode along with the label (printed on a UPS peel-sticker label) and brought the item with me. I planned to use a plastic UPS mailbag, enclose the Amazon barcode, slap on the sticker and send. I know Amazon requires a sealed return for UPS, but I had EVERYTHING required to seal the item except for the mailer and I never for a moment anticipated a problem. I politely requested the mailer bag - but the attendant told me "we don't have those." I clarified that I need the second day mailer bag and I'd reverse the bag and then seal it with my label. He directed me to "Jocelyn" (apparently the location manager) and she told me that the owner does not allow bags to be inverted. She told me "I could buy the mailer bag for $1.92, plus tax." The bag she offered is identical to the ones readily available everywhere else. Even though I recognize that two dollars isn't a lot of money, I detest this type of rigid lack of regard for customers. In fact, the treatment I encountered felt like staff held open contempt for their customers. In response I told Jocelyn that I'd obtain the bag that I needed on my own and that I would never return to the Livingston location. I went to my car and noticed another UPS store located in nearby East Hanover. (Just in front of Target, close to Costco.) I stopped by, parked (very conveniently) and spoke to a helpful clerk that knew exactly what I needed. She happily gave me the UPS mailer, and I then put the package together. I was out the door in under two minutes. Although I don't know if the Livingston UPS Store owner specifically instructs staff to charge for mailers or not, but I am so happy to have voted with my feet in favor of the East Hanover location. The difference in customer treatment is so noticeably discernable (like day and night) that I will from now on go out of my way to use the Hanover location whenever necessary. I will also work hard to warn those in my community about the very negative experiences I've encountered at this UPS store location. read more

Just want to share a bad experience with regarding this business establishment. I mailed some items to Arizona from this UPS store. They had asked whether there were any fragile items in my items to be shipped, and there were none. Items we had purchsed from a trip abroad, shoes and a couple of canned items. I paid for packing and shipping. To my dismay, the items were not packed well. The canned items were dented. I emailed the manager, and he has yet to respond. Very disappointing. read more

Got to the store at 6:55pm planning to make an Amazon return, posted hours are until 7pm. The door was already locked and the guy inside counting the cash register looked at me when I knocked and gave me a neck-slash gesture. When I'm writing this it's Tuesday after Thanksgiving, the busiest time of year for shipping, and they can't even keep the doors open until the official closing time? Major fail. I'm never coming back here again. The store clearly states that the opening time is 8:30AM. I showed up at 8:35AM and while the door was unlocked, the actual counter was barricaded! Several customers came and left while I was waiting there like an idiot. At 8:44AM I left, 14 minutes after their opening time with not a single employee in sight. I understand that maybe an extra 5 minutes are needed to get the store ready, but 14 minutes is inexcusable and that's when I left, who knows when an employee actually showed up! Here's the kicker, I had two large boxes that were labelled and ready to be scanned. I couldn't carry both of them simultaneously so I left one in the store so I could load the other one in my car. When I came back to retrieve the second box, the door locked! I took pictures of it and I left because I had a work meeting to attend. Of course I came back a couple of hours later to confirm that they had my box, which they did, but they never apologized for their tardiness. This inconvenienced many people this morning. The other times I've been here their QR code reader was out of order and the lines are always horrendously long. The service is also terrible as the employees don't take responsibility for how they inconvenience the customers. They act like it's a privilege to use their crappy store to ship your goods. I wish I had read the reviews before trying out this location. I'm new to the neighborhood and ship UPS items every week for work. I have a corporate account and just need to drop things off most of the time. Even that was too difficult for this location. Samir was rude, the line was out the door basically, and the service was just overall unacceptable. Not friendly, not helpful, nothing. This place has the absolute worst customer service that I received in quite some time. I presented my old Verizon phone in the box to be shipped, and the manager with a huge chip on his shoulder asked for an order number. I showed frustration simply because this package was created and paid for by Verizon, and they would have experience and just supply exactly what this guy needed. But no, all he gave was attitude. When I visited the Verizon Store in town, the manager mentioned that the guy doesn't need an order number, and the tracking number was already on the box. Apparently, a lot of other townspeople have encountered his terrible attitude, as per what the Verizon GM mentioned, and another Verizon customer in town nodded her head in agreement. So I went to Staples and was easily able to ship back my old phone. UPS needs to better watch their employees, especially the grumpy old one from Livingston, who is incompetent, discourteous, and downright unprofessional. Never again! read more

I use this location to receive mail and packages. I've had two packages go missing the past month. Their explanations did not make sense (ie USPS picked the package up a day or two later). They also refused to refund me even though they aren't providing the service I pay them for. Stay away from this store, and I recommend filing a police report if any of your packages have gone missing. read more

This was my 2nd time going in this store since Covid 19 hit, now back in March it was all new so PPE was not in most stores but wearing mask and social distancing was being invoked. I went back there yesterday and no employee (2 were working male & female) had on gloves or mask, no Barriers btwn the employee's or customers, so I asked the female that was working, she stated the owners didn't supply them with any or put up barriers, so I asked, isn't your health worth wasn't buying a mask & gloves for yourself, she nope, she has better things to do with her money & she has a condition were she can't wear a mask long it makes her vomit at least when I starting asking the question the male employee started looking for his mask, at least that's what he said. I can't believe that UPS and anything under their umbrella even individually owned is so lacked on health and safety practices during this time. As convenient as that location is too my job I will not be utilizing it again and this is after that same female took a pkg from me during the holidays never gave me a receipt after I asked, pkg ended up never reaching its destination. I think guys working at this UPS location are great. They are always courteous, very efficient and helpful. I've been using this store on periodic basis for past 10 years since I live in the area and I never had an issue (fingers crossed). I'm only conveying my experience which may differ from other customers. I think that UPS provides a much better service and customer support than FedX, there's a FedX store not too far from here and I've used them as well. Again, this is my opinion only. read more
