When my job went on hiatus due to summer school and to the COVID19 pandemic, I needed a place to ship back to my head office, all of the equipment that I was given. My employer, a major midwestern university, shipped all of their supplies to me by UPS, so naturally, I turned to UPS to return their stuff. I went to Yelp to find the highest rated UPS Store in my area and went there. That was this store, and Javier and his team could not have been any better than the service they provided. They not only generated the labeling, but they made sure that I had packed the boxes correctly, that I used enough packing material, and that the equipment would survive the 2000 mile trip by air and road. After 2 weeks of getting the runaround & trying to contact someone helpful at ups to find out why my shipment was stuck on "out for delivery" for 2 weeks, Luis managed to save the day. Luis apologized for the issue even though he had no fault in it. He was extremely polite and knowledgeable about who to contact. Luis took control of the situation without pushing customer service on me and sending me out the door, plus he was doing all of this while assisting other customers walking in. UPS needs more employees like Luis! read more

I knew I shouldn't have returned to this store. This time Javier was even ruder than before! He clearly doesn't want my business. The returns were supposed to be free through Amazon. There was a problem with the scan code because it was one order that came in two boxes, but he was curt and rude about it. I stepped aside to call customer service about the return code and they worked it out and requested to stay on the line to be sure all went well. He heard Javier curtly insist that I had to pay a dollar for a piece of tape for each of the two boxes. Although the gentleman from customer service was shocked and apologetic, I had to pay the $2. I got to pay to be treated with a total lack of courtesy or consideration from the time I walked in. More than that he spoke rudely about it being my problem and took my boxes and moved them off his counter bruskly even though he had been helping customers at his other counter and currently, there were no other customers. The entire experience was more than unpleasant. Next time, it will definitely be worth it to me to drive a bit further to another outlet. read more

The employee should be trained how to interact with the customer. I went there to pick up the package after getting the UPS paper notice at the door. He asked me who was that for. I paused for a moment because I have no idea because I did not get the package yet and the UPS paper notice didn't mention it. He asked my last name and I answered. He bluntly said I couldn't give you because there is no package for that last name. Sounded like he has a package in different last name.. I paused again because there are other family name at my house. I felt like I was trying to steal other person's package base on his attitude. I asked if there is any package for my address. He said no. He should have told it from the beginning. I asked 'what is this UPS paper notice for?' He bluntly said 'I have no idea'. He didn't even try to check tracking information on the UPS paper notice. read more

I live pretty much across the street from the other UPS store on Seal Beach Blvd, and used to go there frequently. Never liked that owner who was always rude and seemed annoyed constantly. Today, I found this other UPS store a few miles away. I had a return, but it needed extra packing material and a 2nd box. The owner Javier said he'd take care of it. I typically have to just buy the materials and do it myself. The other store doesn't even offer packing tape, .. which I get. They'd prob rather I buy the tape. But Javier just charged me for the bubble wrap and an outer box. Price is comparable to anywhere else, but he then took care of packaging it all up for me and processing my return shipping and tracking. Excellent & friendly service with a smile. I'll definitely drive the extra 3 miles to go to this UPS location from now on. read more

There's a male who is often here that is always friendly, cheerful, and helpful. A female employee with short hair is constantly unhappy and appears not to like her job. She rarely greets me and never thanks me. She barely says "here" as she hands me the receipt. I'm not sure why she works here if she doesn't like customers. My time in the store is brief and easy/quick, it's not too hard to be nice for a 30 to 60 second interaction. Besides that, the store is a nice location to use for Amazon returns. read more

I had to return something to Amazon and owner, Javier made it so simple - he just scanned my Amazon-generated code and took my package! Nothing to it, which is great for me because I tend to be super-lazy when it comes to returning things AND mailing things so combine the two and it doesn't look promising...until now that I have Javier to do the thinking. I recently had to ship several large, bulky, custom items. So glad I found this store, they are creative, caring, & conscientious. Fragile items arrived intact, a large box was built to accommodate a vintage desk, dishes were carefully packed, they were able to pack & ship an antique spinning wheel & children's rocking chair that arrived in perfect condition. I have to say I do not know a finer man than Javier Mota, the Multi-Center Owner. I lost my Cat named Max and he helped me with posters and they are beautiful. I was there November 6 at 3 pm and i received bad service guy was rude. I took a return merchandise that needed one little piece a tape to seal box the guy didn't even bother to offer a little tape from the bunch tapes he had. He did not want to take my return.the place was empty.I end it up going to supermarket to buy my owm tape which i was fine but when i return there was a lady in front with a mini skirt and the guy was taping all of her boxes even separating the ones were going out separately i was like wtf. Ups should train their employees to be cordial with all customers no just pretty ladys. read more

I've never thought I'd enjoy going to a UPS store as much as I do now. The team here is clearly focused on serving their customers, from the owner (Javier) to the employees. Everyone I've worked with, Anthony in particular, do their best to ensure that your shipping experience and needs are met - all with a smile on their face. This is my go-to store and I know the prices are fair and competitive. It's come to the point where I'm no longer looking online for the best price, but rather, have prioritized the guaranteed excellent customer service and excellence above all. I have been meaning to write a review for this UPS store for awhile. I have been to several UPS stores that are closer to me and dreaded going - they would often be rude and unfriendly with customers. This UPS store is the exact opposite! They are friendly and welcoming. One time, someone even came out to help me with a large, awkward box. I was so surprised. For me, this is worth the extra miles to be treated with kindness and respect. I would go no where else. read more

Unfortunately, up till now, all of my interactions have been with the store manager/owner - and he is awesome. His staff is completely Less than, and rude, arrogant and smart mouthed. I had a package that was needed to get to a location by a certain date. I asked the employee that checked me out if it was going out "tonight or tomorrow" that had a lot of decision in how I was sending it. He then told me "UPS Driver is coming up now, it will definitely go out tonight." I thought great that just saved me $45 in shipping - Fast forward to today, when the package is supposed to be in Texas - IT IS NOT THERE, and is now delayed an entire possible day or two - because it did not go out on the truck that night as I was promised. I decided to call the store and inquire about who I need to talk to - the employee not only told me "There is no guarantee" but then asked - "Do you have proof that is what he said?" - So now I am supposed to what - record conversations I have with employees - I will admit, I was angry, not yelling, just firm - He then said - Can "I have the tracking number you are looking at? - They don't create the actual tracking number until it arrives at the hub" - When I told him, no that can't be true - because I walk out of the store with a tracking number - His response: "So now you are calling me a liar? is there anything else I can help you with? No." Did he not do the same thing earlier - when I told him the employee promised me it would be on the truck?? - Sorry - But customer service goes a long way with me. I was so excited when this location opened up - but I will not be going there ANY LONGER. read more
