I contracted a designer to create my wedding invitations for me as a PDF, then all I had to do was send the files to Michael at Deem to be printed. It took less than a week to have a proof of my invite ready (and it only took that long because the printer was being repaired), and then once I approved the sample, my 80 invites were read the next day.
