I've been coming to this UPS store for the last 10 years and recently I went there today to get a document faxed, but it was very small so he faxed it and the company called back and told me they couldn't read it. Why didn't this guy use the printer to enlarge it first and then fax it. My 10-year-old son could've done that I will never come here again. They're hiring morons there now.!!!! read more

Absolutely unnecessary unpleasant transaction. No need to go here as staff is beyond rude and extremely unhelpful. Stopped in today to process an Amazon Return. I very rarely return things so the process is not familiar to me although I had dropped something off at this location before. My wife and I were presented with a giant sign that read to the effect Amazon returns this way and all other business this way which indicated to me that they would not be accepting returns at the counter serviced by human beings. The only option being what appeared to be a counter. Okay .. I watched the people in front of me but I had a box that would not fit in to the small aperture that was provided so I very politely called over and said .. I'm sorry but can someone help me .. I dont know what I am supposed to do. We are seniors but I am not computer illiterate nor am I afraid of technology but .. I was just hoping someone could talk me through it. The item I was returning was nearly $300 and I didnt want to make a mistake. Person behind the counter immediately launched into an assault. "JUST READ!" Okay but I dont think my package will fit "Well if you read it will tell you what to do!" Been alive a long time and have in my younger years worked in forward facing jobs and I still find it funny when someone is willing to expend more energy being a jerk than it would have taken to put me at ease and explain how it worked. Would have taken the same amount of words and no extra effort. Ultimately he said I could also get on the line to leave it with counter people. Still furious at me .. Wouldn't you know .. when my time came .. it was this same awful human. He again dressed me down in front of all the patrons and his coworkers telling me "all you had to do was read" I explained that my package wouldn't fit and was told .. "well if you read it would tell you to leave it on the counter" Funny thing is .. I held out my phone with the return QR and he scanned it and took the box. Scanning it and taking the box took less than 10 seconds and he had wasted minutes berating me in the store in public because I asked for assistance. In the end .. I would have been very uncomfortable leaving $300 return sitting in the open unmonitored and had the sign read the scanning self service desk was optional this wouldnt have been a problem. The Sub Human who did not help me wasted minutes, aggravated himself and humiliated two elderly people to do something that took him the time it took to turn a page in a book. read more

Came to this UPS store to ship something while I was in town. Sadly, this was the closest UPS store location to my area. Entered the store to find that the line was very long. I waited in the line and shortly after I entered the line, a few more customers came in after me and were actually waiting outside. They had about 3 employees working the counter and one was loading packages into a large bin. The employees appeared very sloppy and disheveled as if they had just rolled out of bed and went to work. Finally got up to the counter and the employee behind the counter was handling the shipping and creating the shipping label for my shipment. While I was standing there at the counter, I had to continue to scoot closer and closer to the counter because the employee that was loading up packages into the bin, kept pushing the bin around and I felt like I was somehow constantly in his way. Once the label was created, I was then informed that I could not have a receipt because their printer was not working. I was then told to use my cell phone to take a photo of the label that had the tracking number on it as "proof" of my shipment. First of all, how is a UPS store operating without the ability to print? Secondly, I hope the company I am shipping to will accept a cell phone image of a shipping label as "proof" of shipment, even though anyone could take a picture of a shipping label or photoshop/edit a shipping label image. And third, I do not want to have to keep looking at a picture on my camera roll on my cell phone to refer to a tracking number. It is much easier to refer to a physical piece of paper...a.k.a. a receipt to refer to a tracking number! I'm sure they will get on here and comment; they always seem to do so on these reviews, yet nothing changes at this location. I have been coming to this UPS location for over 20 years, and today was the last day that I will ever step foot in this store. The customer service is nonexistent at this point: just a bunch of guys standing around, talking about their personal lives, ignoring customers. When someone did speak to me, they were flippant and gave me absolutely no explanation as to what my shipping options were and why the prices were suddenly so high (shipping to Canada). I was treated like a pest, not like a loyal customer of over 20 years. So, I went to FedEx on Power and Baseline and got the same shipping for $20 less, and was treated with kindness and grace. You'd think with all the money UPS is making these days, they'd put some of that towards training their employees better. Guess not. read more

I needed to return 2 rugs from One Kings Lane. They gave me 1 return label, which wasnt ideal. UPS store said if in 2 packages they need 2 labels. I get that. However why dont you sell me a box that i can put the 2 rugs in. Nope. Then when i decided to tape the 2 rugs together I wasnt allowed to do that in a corner of the store. For liability reasons.Instead I had to stand outside the store in 115° heat to tape the 2 rugs myself. As customers exited the store they shared with me they thought the clerk was wrong and they have never been told to leave the store to tape. When I die of heat stroke I wonder what the liability is then. I have never had this type of service here before. Notmally rhey are incredibly helpful and will tape something for me. Or offer to sell me a box. Not this time. Now I must hydrate and possibly seek medical for the heat exhaustion/stroke I am experiencing. read more

Stopped in quickly to mail something. Was promptly greeted and immediately assisted with my request. I was bit alarmed by the cost it was to ship my item, but that is just what it appears to be these days, no fault of The UPS Store ($13 to mail a folded up piece of paper larger than standard size). They also offer passport photos, amazon returns (I've used this service before and it was free of charge), stamp book purchase ($18), and I'm sure much more services can be requested if I had inquired on the all the services they offer. This location is in the same complex as Albertsons off to the side with parking spaces right in front of it or beyond it for convenient access. read more

Went into this store for service and one of the employees "Gavin" was ignoring customers while he was playing on his phone. He then finished with his phone only to offend the next customer. I asked who owned the store, his answer was Saki then said "good luck with that". I would never go back to this location. Customer service is nonexistent here. I came in with my newborn to return an Amazon item. I was disappointed seeing how I had to scan everything myself (I should have looked this up ) finally I got the item in the bag but could not get the sticker on it due to having my hands full. I brought it up to the counter and apologized that I couldn't get the sticker on. The young man looked at me like I was stupid and said you just peel it off and stick it on and proceeded to "show " me. I told him I know how stickers work my hands are full with a baby... which he replied that's not my problem. I will never use UPS ever again due to this interaction. read more

I went in yesterday for a couple of Amazon returns, a letter I needed to print out, and to buy a couple of envelopes. All things I've done at other UPS stores with no problems and paying:: $0.25 cent to print a one-page file out of my USB drive; $0.25 for a regular letter envelope, and no problem shipping back a customer-packaged large Amazon return, packed in a large plastic bag as it wouldn't fit in any box. Here - I kid you not - I was charged: 1. $3.25 to print the file out of my SB drive: this is a 'file Access Fee' which the clerk did NOT tell me they were going to charge because they don't have printers with USB ports. Had he told me, I'd have just walked out and gone to a different UPS store which does. 2. $0.65 for the letter-size envelope 3. $2.49 for a 9x12 envelope. Plus, they said they couldn't take the large package because of the plastic wrap. Obviously, I am never going back to this rip-off store. And, BTW, I took the rejected package to a different store very close by, which gladly took it and I already have the Amazon refund. read more

I had to send several items for delivery and received outstanding by Lance and Christian. They were so helpful and had good communication skills, as well as just great manners. As I was there for a while and had to make 2 trips ( my fault), I saw how the other employees worked together and treated everyone. These folks act as a team. I'm certain this is partly due to good management at the store, who is hiring and supporting the right employees. I can't believe the score is so low bc this store stands out as the best UPS experience. I travel alot so, let's say, I have a wide range of experience with UPS, and it's competitors. Swung by on a Tuesday night about half an hour before they closed to get a passport photo taken. They weren't overly busy and there were plenty of employees. The lady who helped us was very friendly and patient. She had the photo taken quickly enough but had a little trouble getting it to print out. Once that was done we sent off the passport to be renewed and soon I will be ready to flee the country at a moments notice! read more

The store is busy because it is popular and known for its upscale central location and professional associates, who immediately greet customers upon entering the store and advance a team effort to ensure that there is no waiting for services. The owner, Chris Kellogg, is to be commended not only for her outstanding and impeccable store, immaculate displays, but also as leader of a team, very seasoned and experienced in customer service and business knowledge and orientation of UPS services. The location also offers passport photos. Bill Skinner, Notary, was very helpful with a unique printing request that I had, as well as scanning and ensuring that an important document and contract were secured and mailed to the correct designation. Associates, Gavin, Lance, Zack, Penny and Donald were busy in the employee area at all times when not servicing customers, and busy packing and shipping to ensure a seamless and continual address of business practices and operations. This store is busy but there is never a line as Associates vigilantly pay attention to customer service; as recently when Penny immediately came from the back employee area to call customers from the line that was forming. I drive a further distance from my home to specifically come to this UPS Store because of the consistent, reliable, and professional customer service and experience. Highly recommend! read more

The contents of my package were not firearms nor were they anything that is unshippable, requiring of special markings or any concern by the UPS Store, UPS, Fedex, nor USPS. It was a torque wrench. We tried this business one more time after a negative experience and a Yelp review done. Unfortunately nothing changed. Couldn't get dolly help, was scrutinized as if I hadn't completed paperwork differently from the day before, brought in 4 large boxes only to be told to move them about 5 feet further after they were stacked. Watched another customer (elderly lady) being treated wrong, she was told to prepare her package outside (in the heat) because there wasn't 'room' in the business. Most store workers were okay but there's a young male (blonde hair) who acts like he hates customers. A taller African-American worker tried to smooth things over and was helpful but the blonde worker created trouble faster than they could address it. After this second try, we definitely are changing stores. Responses are lip-service only and there's no management involvement to actually fix some things. Again, their loss. We actually drive extra far to go to this store because it used to be good. There are several closer and we'll be going to those businesses instead. Hopefully others have a better experience than we have had. Something changed for the worse at this store ie new owner or manager, etc. Or perhaps just bad worker screening during the hiring process. Issues continue because of low standards and expectations, and lack of good training. read more

This location made excuses and acted like there was nothing they can do for me. Awful customer service! One young man was helping a couple, he seemed to be notarizing documents so it was taking some time. While the other two young men moseyed around the back of the store chatting, making eye contact with me a few times but never coming up to help. The working employee had to ask them to help up front. The young man who came up to help did not greet me, he rip the package out of my hand, asked me if I needed a receipt and when I responded yes, he handed it to me and didn't say anything else. There's nothing worse than an employee on the clock acting like I've inconvenienced them!!!! This location is super convenient but I will go to another location further away before I return to this UPS Store. read more

I've visited this store over 5 times and each time I've walked away with zero complaints. The store is always clean. Employees are typically knowledgeable and eager to assist. I'd like to shout out one employee in particular, Barbra. She's always upbeat and in the best spirits. Even with the current chaos caused by this pandemic she took the time out to provide an excellent customer experience for me. Found another number for them online and it goes straight to voicemail so I can wait at home all day for a call back. Lol Good luck getting a question answered, instead you'll drive and waste time/money when you arrive. I called the location on Power rd and they answered in 2 rings. I drove the extra 4 miles since they answered and spent $27 in shipping. I wonder how much money it costs this store by not answering questions throughout the year. Saving time avoiding their customers and answering the same questions must be the better strategy. Ellie at this UPS store # 3950, was SO VERY helpful to me in cancelling a delivery that the recipient turned out to be a SCAM. Fortunately for me, UPS didn't deliver on Sundays, otherwise I would have been out a lot of money. I have been coming here since I moved here a year and a half ago. They took store over in August.. nd what a difference. They are very conscience of people's time no forever waiting. I went here yesterday to send Christmas packages to the east coast. I spent $240 shipping packages. One of them got shipped to my house because of an old UPS sticker on it from a year ago as I reuse boxes. They said I had to bring it back in so I did. They refused to take accountability for their mistake. The manager told me that IT WAS MY FAULT for not removing the sticker. I told her she had wasted my time, my gas and my money. She looked at the tag and said YOU DONT LIVE THAT FAR AWAY! SERIOUSLY??? I live 10 minutes away. Thats 20 minutes of driving and 20 minutes of standing in line 10 minutes of talking to them all to fix THEIR MISTAKE that they BLAMED ON ME. She was RUDE RUDE RUDE. We use the UPS store on Baseline and Ellsworth and the people are always efficient and helpful. Never wasting time with their duties, they get right to it in a very pleasant way. Store is clean and well arranged and clean and well stocked. They also provide a very efficient and well trained notary service. Can't say enough about this particular store since my experience with all UPS stores isn't the same. read more

I have been using this UPS store now for several years - they have always been very accommodating and knowledgeable about their services - whether notary, shipping printing, etc. In September I had some papers notarized, and the notary was amazing - he mentioned that the owner (who was the previous notary) had left - sold the shop to someone new. A few weeks later, early Dec., I went in to pick up a print job I submitted online (one of many I have done here). I immediately sensed a different environment - one of the previous employees was wonderful, but when I mentioned I was there to pick up an order, she went quiet and said "I have no idea what I'm supposed to do." A lady came from the back of the store, looking like she had been having a rather rough day - she was very rude and asked "well, we didn't print it! Didn't you see my email?" I hadn't been home for a few hours, so my answer was "no, actually. What's wrong with it?? She went on to say that the software wouldn't allow her to print, and I needed to re-do and send it to her again. That she would print once adjusted. So I fixed, and re-sent to her, asking her to quote me the difference in price between a one-page doc and a two-page front/back document. I told her I was hoping it wasn't going to be more than double what I was already paying - to which she responded "well.. shrink it down and put on a border." I said to her "I can't do that. I can't shrink the font down more. Please give me a quote, or if not, refund me since you haven't printed, so I can go to Kinkos." She has yet to respond. The worst part about this experience is that she clearly lacks customer service skills in a business that requires you to work with people every day. When I told her that I never had any issues with the previous owner and my printing, she said "well I don't know what he had here, but he didn't have what we have and he certainly didn't know what he was doing." I understand, when you buy a business from someone and carry on that business, there are some disagreements, but to put down the previous owner and assume you are without problems isn't good business. She appeared as if her day was so overly busy that she was disheveled - be thankful you have a prospering business that people need, and don't make people feel sorry for you for having a busy day. If you can't handle the work or the customer base you have, you are in the wrong business. I have never had the previous owner or employees be anything but top service - and I am often times in there with 5 kids at a time. Accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable - and customer focused. You can tell that the store has changed management, and it's upsetting to know that a store you thoroughly enjoyed giving your business to is now a store you probably won't set foot in again. In the end, I never got my print order that I paid for online. I never got a single response from her on my project. read more

I came here to take my passport photos and was not pleased with what I walked into. There were multiple people working and just sitting around at the front not doing anything or serving anyone, when I went up to them they told me that I needed to wait because they couldn't find their camera I waited patiently and after 30 minutes of waiting they finally found the camera and went over to take the pictures. They started talking to people on the other side of the wall and not taking my photo. Will most likely come back here again but will not have high expectations this time. read more

I ship via this UPS Store almost everyday. They are knowledgeable, personable, and always upbeat. Everyone truly seems to be smarter than the average brown bear. However, as all of Arizona moves past the fear of Covid19 they've Just started using masks. My guess as to why is that one of the scared few complained. That's sad! This UPS store is horrible. Every time I've had a package held here or drop off a package it has been lost. I have brought it up with them and all they can tell me is that "it's not them, and it's the driver's fault for loosing them or not scanning them." Mind you that the tracking says the package is being held at this store when I have the package held here, and the tracking NEVER updates and leave this store when I drop a package off! read more
