I recently went to the UPS Store on Charlestown Road on Tuesday to mail 2 cards to my son for Father's Day. I told the clerk I wanted them to be delivered before Saturday. He ended up sending the envelope via USPS. I started tracking the package from Tuesday afternoon. It arrived at the USPS facility in Louisville KY on Wednesday and that is where it sat until Sunday. It was finally delivered on Monday. I called USPS and created a support ticket to locate the package, I never heard back from USPS. When I went to speak to the manager of the UPS Store I took it to, he was very rude and unfriendly. He acted like he really didn't care at all about my issue. This is the second time I have had issues with this store. I will never take another package to this store. read more

In the last few months we've needed to return some Amazon purchases. Amazon makes returns very easy by sending you a QR code which gets scanned at the UPS Store. Unfortunately the most convenient location for me is the store on Charlestown Rd. Also unfortunately, our last two visits we've been waited on by the same rude and pushy guy. This employee may possibly also be the franchise owner. He's very impatient with customers and downright rude. God forbid you need to ask a question about your transaction. Anything more than handing this guy the package and him scanning your QR code, recieves a hostile reply. His attitude and demeanor will force me to drive out of my way to use a different provider. read more

Just went to return an Amazon item. The store was open and running prior to their posted hours. I didn't package my return and Bruce took care of me. Store is fairly standard, nothing exceptional. I ship quite a few packages regularly for online sales orders as well as to family and friends both nationwide and worldwide. I also have an occasional return package a few times a year. I sometimes have packages re-routed to this location for later pickup if I know I will not be home to circumvent possible porch pirates. I use the 3 main carriers and often frequent each brick and mortar store. Needless to say, I have been happy with this specific location when I need to conduct a transaction in person related to UPS products and services. I have not had any issues with a drop off or a package pickup. Prices and services are fairly competitive with the other shipping providers. I also had a mailbox here several years ago, which was extremely convenient to enable me to have a street address rather than a P.O. Box, which some shippers refuse to accept as a recipient address. Staff have always been friendly and efficient when I have visited at various times of day throughout the week. Business hours are extremely convenient for my needs. I plan to return to this location in the future, which is along the Charlestown Road corridor near Meijer grocery and the movie theater. read more

We started using UPS to ship our packages for our online e-commerce store due to multiple delays with the post office in louisville over the last few years. We have had great success with UPS delivering packages on time to our customers. The employees at the New Albany Charlestown Road store always have lots to do but are friendly and always greet me with a smile and a helpful attitude. They scan all my packages without delay, as we need that service almost daily for our online store. It seems most customers go there to do Amazon returns, but if you need a reliable shipping alternative to the post office, we cant recommend UPS more highly and this store has great service. Once they have my packages I can relax knowing UPS will deliver for me. Thank you for your help. read more

I drive 30 minutes out of my way to avoid this store due to the owner. I've consistently experienced issues at this UPS store with returning items. Despite services that are advertised as not requiring a box or package or shipping label, I'm often told by ONLY him, that I need to purchase additional supplies. This has happened multiple times, even when I've confirmed the requirements beforehand. It's always when I am working with the owner the rest of the employees take my items with no problem. I believe the owner is just being difficult and wants me to spend money on tape, box etc. This happens so often that I bring my own supplies only to be told it will not work. he refuses to take my returned items. During my most recent visit, I read the instructions to the owner (that no shipping label or box was required) and he became confrontational and raised his voice, which made the experience uncomfortable. I asked him not to yell and lower his voice but it didn't matter. I understand policies may vary, but clearer communication and more respectful customer service would go a long way. After this encounter, I drove to the next nearest UPS store and had absolutely no issues at all. I didn't need a box or label as the instructions said. I will continue to drive 30 minutes to the UPS in Jeffersonville ongoing. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service! I brought in a package that needed to be shipped for my business. It was being shipped second day air and was to be placed into a UPS pak (supplied by UPS for free). I had run out and took my package here, knowing that they had the free UPS paks and they wanted to charge me $3 for one of them. So, I left and went to one of the other UPS stores and they were happy to give me a pak and take care of it for me- for free! My advice, go to State Street UPS store. I will never go back to this one for anything I need personal or business. Also, As a former UPS employee, I will be going to my corporate contact to ensure they are aware that this UPS store charges for something they're getting from UPS for free. read more

I needed to return a Amazon purchase that was damaged. It was boxed in it's original packaging. However I was informed that UPS procedures dictated that the box needed to be placed in another box to ship. The staggering cost for a cardboard box at UPS was $12.46 cents. Since i didn't want to pay what I feel is a ridiculous sum of money to these mercenaries I had to take my return back home and loacate a box that fit my return. Just a note of caution make sure your shipping item is properly boxed before you hit the UPS store OR make sure you visit the bank to make a withdrawal to pay for one of theirs. read more

Twice now, I've tried to print here and been rebuffed. The first time, I used a USB and they claimed my document was locked and refused to let me get it online even though it was a document from the county website. The second time, I used the UPS website to send the print job, but was told when I got to the store, after standing in line for several minutes, that they would not actually take the print job since it was under $5. My credit card has a pending charge on it. They make business with them impossible and are rude about it as well. Do not recommend. read more

Bait and switch! Needed to print one sheet of paper and submitted it through the online system. Paid $0.18 via the website. When I arrive at the store, the online system doesn't work. Brushed off when asked about what I already paid. Emailed them the document and when I go to check out, the total is $2.14. WHAT? While dealing with this, overheard the owner being rude to other customers. I declined their services and will not return due to deceptive business practices. If I can give negative stars I will. I hope UPS does an internal investigation on the owner at this establishment. He is the rudest person I've encountered. I witnessed him yelling at an older lady because she didn't know how to insert her debit card. He also told me to take my business elsewhere because I asked to make sure my packing slip goes inside the shipping box. I don't even know how he's even eligible to run a business with his sour attitude. If someone can report this POS to corporate it'll be a relief for the all the customers around this area. read more

Nothing fancy, but I needed to print off about 265 pages. 10 cents each and I was out the door. I learned a great deal about the quirks of each machine while I was there from the friendly and talkative woman who ran the office for the day. I will return if I forget to print at the office again. read more

This is the third time that I've tried to print something through this store and the second time my print wasn't correct to the point of being unusable. The first was a wedding invitation that details were cut off of even though I added a bleed. This time I had cards that I needed for a game I'm hosting. Even though, I picked double sided, it came out single. I asked if we could retry because this wasn't what I asked for and was told that my order wasn't wrong in their system and that if I wanted it redone I would have to pay again. I guess I'll rubber cement the two sides together because I'm not dealing with this store anymore. Edit: I agree that I was told it was my fault for the mistake, after checking my email for the order, I disagree. I also agree that I was offered to retry and refused. I was not confident in the ability to do it correctly and didn't want to pay for another incorrect printing. read more

My brother sent 3 Christmas packages last December. The store combined them in one box.His total including packages was 354. 119 dollars was the deleviry charge. He had all his reciepts. UPS lost the package. It did not make it to the destination. Its Jan 31 and UPS store says they have a check for him. They will pay 144.17. Remember 119 was shipping. Basically we lost your package Ruined your Christmas but we will refund the delivery charge. I told him we use Amazon. You can drop ship from your site. So easy. So sad how you treat people. Its like it was his fault for using your service. read more

This might be the worst run UPS Store in the USA!!! Because of Kimberly's OBVIOUS challenges regarding the use of: 1 - the copy machine; 2 - the POS (point of sale) equipment 3 - the office telephone a simple 5 minute task to ship a lightweight box ended up a being 20 minute ordeal!!! She made EXCUSES during my whole time there, citing (among others) that "they need to get me more help" and (as she told a friend of hers on the telephone) "she has a store full of people". She could not enlarge a copy for another customer, wasting more than 10 minutes of my time while she experimented. She took one personal phone call right in the middle of waiting on yet another customer. She constantly took packages from others who walked in, thereby making the rest of us (3 customer) wait even longer. She does not communicate very well. Instead of reading what's on her screen she uses her own terms. She decided to sip on her drink instead of paying attention to the customer's needs. She chit-chatted with the USPS delivery guy and even pulled off of her task she was doing for the customer in order to chit chat with the USPS guy. Kimberly is not suited for retail work. Her mind seems preoccupied with everything except focusing on the needs of the customer in an efficient manner. Isn't that the whole point of UPS Stores???? I would not be surprised to learn that Kimberly is related to whomever owns this UPS Store franchise. On the other hand, this store is costing UPS shipping volume because once you experience what I (and apparently several others in this forum) have experienced, we WON'T BE BACK!!! read more

Second time I went into this branch and they told me they didn't know you get a discount as a AAA member and pushed me aside by taking the next customer. No problems with any other UPS store with the discount. Won't be a third time. read more

The lady working literally couldn't remember anything that she was doing. She didn't know who was next in life. She continued to talk crap about her supervisor and it was all his fault that the internet was done. She talked the entire time I was there. She was negative. Not professional and rude. The lady in front of me continuously repeated the address where to mail her package, the lady working couldn't remember it. One customer had been there for an hour for a fax. I finally left after she said she couldn't help me and went to the STATE STREET store. Much better service there. Very friendly. read more

I went to this location to ship 2 packages I ordered from Amazon that I needed to return! Luckily Emily was working and so helpful! I had such wonderful customer service from Emily! She was so sweet and took the time to help me print the shipping labels from my email to the stores email for a small fee! Had she of not been so patient, I don't know what I would have done! I wish more businesses had employees like her because you could tell she was knowledgeable and cared about her job but more importantly helping the customer!!! THANKS EMILY! I'm not normally much of a "yelper" but I kind of felt like this one needed to be heard. No one wants or looks forward to going to the UPS store, definitely not something I was excited about but I have to say that this trip took quite the unexpected turn. At first what seemed like a normal stop and yawn turned out to be something much different. I don't know the situation or even what happened but what I did see a full grown male screaming and berating what appeared to be a very young and very fearful lady. I couldn't imagine what she felt and I couldn't believe how condescending this man was being, calling her "stupid" and "ignorant" over and over and to top it off he started yelling at another girl who was taking up for the other one. I just couldn't believe it man, totally unnecessary. That man is lucky to have any employees and I for one certainly won't be back. I can assure you that if anyone with a good conscience had seen what I witnessed they wouldn't be back either. Nothing that girl could have possibly done would have been close to deserving of that. Hopefully something is done about that man or the UPS Store on Charlestown Road could wind up with a hefty lawsuit on their hands. Went in to send a package off and asked the man working there if he could help me access the label from my email on my phone to have it printed out there. He said he didn't know how to do it and I would have to send it to their email and then he would print it out. I told him I wasn't sure how to do that and he walked away from me. I very politely asked him if he could please help guide me to do that and he behaved very dismissively towards me. I couldn't believe how rude he was and I left. I tried to drop off an Amazon return with a return code. The item was shipped in the box, but the man said it had to be in a separate box, which he could sell me for $8-$10. I went home and got a box instead. When I returned a few days later, there was a woman using a walker trying to exit the store, so I set the box down on a table to hold the door for her. The guy was impatient, calling out to me before she even had a chance to get out the door. I patiently held the door until she was safely out, wished her a good day, then rushed over take him the box, which was quite large since he wouldn't just put the label on the normal box as Amazon does. Anyway, I accidentally knocked over a plastic brochure holder, which fell to the floor spilling papers about. He noticed before I did (vision diminished by giant box), and actually started yelling at me. I offered to get it cleaned up, but no, that didn't suit him either. "IT'S ALREADY BROKEN! YOU CAN'T FIX IT!! JUST GIVE ME YOUR CODE!!" I did get the code scanned and he took the box, but his behavior was completely unprofessional. He also yelled, "JUST LEAVE IT!!" at a gentleman behind me who was trying to pick up the papers. I will never use the services at this store again, and hope it is soon out of business. No one deserves to be treated this way. read more

I really never had the idea to review this place; it's just a UPS store, anyway. They had the address on file since I used them to ship to it before, I forgot my wallet in my car, and they didn't balk or say anything. I ran to my car and by the time I got back, they had the package weight, tagged, labeled and had me rung up. All I did was pay and head out, with no hassle. I don't need to ship packages often but I've been using them to deal with my habit to procrastinate on birthdays and holidays and so far they've made it easier for me. I gave them the three stars instead of four because at times they are really slow, others super-fast. It seems to depend on who's there on a given day. read more
