So this UPS store has decided not to take drop offs when you don't need a receipt! I suggest the owner create a dropbox somewhere that people could just leave packages with a label on it ready to go back to the vendor so they don't have to wait in line! The lines in this place are ridiculous. !!!! I understand if you need a receipt or you're coming in and you need a box. Etc.. But people who just want to drop off already labeled and ready to go should not have to wait in their ridiculous lines! I would say you're not doing your Customers good service! People are busy and don't always have time to wait in a line for something they don't need a receipt for shipping an already label tracked item! read more

Courteous and professional. Despite having internet issues Jathan handled my request to pack and shipment quickly and efficiently.

As usual, there was a line out the door at this place. However, upon walking inside, I was immediately greeted by one of the two men at the counter, and thanked me for my patience and let me know he'd be with us shortly. There was at least four other people in front of us and, everyone who walked in after us received the same greeting. It was really really nice to be acknowledged, and not just ignored and expected to wait. the place is really clean and organize and I was impressed by the services that are offered there. Both men at the counter were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this location and come here often. read more

Even though the UPS Customer Service (not UPS Store) is a real pain in the rear to deal with (try understanding folks in a call center in India), and that is after trying to break thru the computer phone bank, coming into this store makes everything OK. UPS managed to lose a package and I was trying to file a claim. I was missing two pieces of information, so I called this store on Tuesday (which is where I sent it from) for help. I spoke with Alysse who spent a great deal of time trying to resolve the problem, to no avail. I stopped by today after trying to deal with the UPS "Customer Service Reps" on the other side of the globe. I was fortunate to speak with Alysse again (and she remembered me). She again spent a good amount of time and, in the end, was able to provide the information I needed. She was extremely nice and professional. Folks like her leave customers much happier after interacting with her. Whoever owns this store should do everything they can to keep her onboard...a nice raise would be appropriate in MHO. This is the worst UPS location - they are rude, unhelpful and very unprofessional. I've given them multiple chances and they have been awful every time. They frequently have turned away amazon returns forcing me to go to other locations who happily take them, they never have a notary in store despite advertising it, and the printer is almost always broken. Today was the last time I go there as I had a small amount of documents to be shred and the lady was incredibly rude and turned them away saying the bin was full when the bin in question was visibly not full. read more

This review is for anyone who prints their own labels and ships items for ebay or amazon or similar online buisness.  I stopped using this store over a year ago ago due being demanded  to tell the store employees exactly what is in every package I shipped. This is a total invasion of privacy and is not even asked by The United States Post Office when shipping at their counter...not to mention in my 22 years of proffesional shipping I have never been demanded to tell what was in my packages being shipped by any UPS location,  UPS drop off point.  UPS store or UPS driver picking up my packages.  That would most likely be over 6000 packages.  That is also including UPS stores and yes I understand there is a difference.  Over a year ago when I stopped going I was constantly getting attitude from the employees who were seeming upset that I had preprinted labels on my already well packaged packages and wanted to simply drop them off.  They seemed to not like having control over the situation as well as they didnt like that all the people who were waiting in line who didnt know how to print their own labels or how to properly package their items were bypassed by someone who had already completed those processes.  I never ask or need a drop of recipet I trust the package to get to UPS driver by the end of the day.  This seems to upset them even more.  Everywhere I have gone besides UPS stores in New Braunfels is a painless process except here they want to exert some kind dominant control over the customers and it seems here in Texas the customer go along with that.  I explained this to the Owner of this UPS store who said she would make an execption for me but it was already too late as I quit using the UPS store right next to my house and just just scheduled UPS drivers to pick up from my house or used the CVS drop Off point at CVS.  What a relief that was.  No more attitude, no more demands by employees who all seemed to hate their job.  So after a year I had one package I needed to get out before the New Years weekend.  What do you know...as soon as I walk in the store to drop of the package the attitude starts.  First its sir you have to wait.  I say I have a prepackaged prelabeled  package what is there to wait on?  Then they said I needed a receipt and I said I dont need one so it was obvious at that point I could just drop the package and leave...well that as usual made the employee feel not in control of the sitution so then they demanded to know what it is my package.  I refused to answer the question and explained I was not shipping anything hazardous or restricted by UPS and pointed the restriction sign at the counter.  I also told them that anytime I print UPS labels online that I am agreeing to not ship anything prohibited by UPS...see attached screen picture.  Once again reminding them that demanding to know what is in a package is an invasion of privacy that no one at the post office or UPS has ever asked me before.  USPS politely asks you if you are shipping anything perishable fragile or hazardous but they Clearly do not demand to know what is in a package.  I have expalined this to the owner and employees at this store mutiple times.  They should be asking if you are shipping any thing hazardous or restricted by UPS and refer you to the plastic laminated card on the couter that explains those things.  They should not be demanding to know what is in packages.  There are many issues with this.....the biggest one being privacy issues but the other simply being liability issues.  Someone  could be shipping something hazardous and if asked they might give the brand name or say an item that might not be recognized as hazardous by the employee.  Showing a chart and list of things prohibited would the easier and safer for the employees.  Now I will have too see if the upset employees gave my package to driver afrer they clearly excepted it or if they retaliated by not sending if with UPS driver. This store has lost out on over 1000 UPS packages I have shipped in the past year.  They get $1 a package.  From reading other reviews on Google it appears the owner has a personal vendetta against anything gun and it appears has most likely come up with enforcing the employees to demand to know what is shipped to be able to turn away any gun parts including gun scopes.  I am anti gun as well and do not ship Gun parts but this is the best reason I can come with as to why the owner allows the employees the ability to grill customers about what they are shipping.  I could be wrong but I would imagine shipping gun parts would be Ok by UPS so not sure but I am assuming the the UPS store corporation allows owners to not accept things they dont like as part of their contract.  I tried contacting UPS corprate to explaing the situation I was having at the store and they were extremely rude and unhelpful. If l'm shipping a package l'm going to purchase tape and have my package ready to go before l even head to the store. I typically don't leave reviews, but I felt leaving one for UPS store #6190 was necessary. I needed to return a 8x10 rug to Amazon which was not properly wrapped. A UPS store worker named Troy, informed me of the best and most cost efficient way to make this happen. He also helped me wrapped the rug and finished the job by taping it together. Because he took a few minutes of his time to assist me, I was able to save money, time, and a possible headache due to Amazon possibly not accepting my return. Troy, we need more people like you! I won't be using this place again mainly because of their prices. When the lady quoted me $35 to ship my small picture frame I thought that was reasonable to put some bubble wrap on it, box it and slow-boat ground deliver. My error apparently. She charged me $35 just to pack it up and another $22 to ship it ground! Holy cow! When did bubble wrap, cardboard and tape get so expensive? Not to mention very high shipping cost! I paid way more to mail it than I did for the item. Learned my lesson...Amazon will take over the world I guess. read more

I have actually always loved this location and the staff there. However I think they just hired someone new, in particular, about a couple weeks ago and she has made me change my mind about this location. First time I walked in someone was training her and she gave me quite a dirty look. Second time I walked in I had a box to just drop off and was waiting behind someone. She was just standing off to the side just staring at me, not saying a word or anything, and as soon as someone else walked in she asked them if they needed help and completely ignored me. Just today I walked in to drop off a package, she just looked at me did not say a word. I gave her the package and told her thank you. She grabbed it saying nothing and walked off. I have been to this location multiple times and have never had a pleasant experience. Today was the last time I will use them! I mailed a package in one of their bright birthday mailers they sale (so it would stand out) an hour later I realized I had sent the wrong item so I call and Cindy (the rude older woman) answered. I asked if there was any way that she could hold that or open it for me so I could bring her the right item and she huffed and said I have too many packages here to find yours, what did you mail it in? I told her I bought one of the packs they sold in the store and I sent it USPS and she quickly said they had already picked up. So I asked what time and she says I'm not sure what time they picked up today. WHAT??? I was in there an hour ago now all of the sudden the mail has picked up but you don't know what time it was? What a joke I cannot believe this is the representation they are giving their customers because it is piss poor. I sure hope this woman isn't the owner what an embarrassment to other business owners who actually care about customer service.
