$10.99 for a roll of packing tape??? I needed the tape so I bought it, but so I knew I wasn't crazy I went to do some comparison shopping on my phone. Everywhere I could find online was around $3.99 and that was for heavy duty (this was plain old tape). Highest online was $6.49. read more

This is by FAR the best UPS Store I've ever encountered. The New Hope UPS Store is a vital part of my business success and they provide superior service every time. I ONLY use this store and go out of my way sometimes to do so; shipping large, high value packages on a daily basis. Not unusual to ship upwards of 75 packages a week. I have never had an issue and as a matter of fact they make it an absolute pleasure to do business with them. Needless to say, I use them for personal items as well. I cannot recommend this store at all. We recently won an auction item from a nearby auction house. The auction house listed this shipper as a recommended shipper fro Jewelry. We contacted this store to get a quote and have them arrange for shipment. Never heard anything back. We then called the store, left a message. No return call. We then called next day to confirm they received the information from us to authorize the shipment. The person on the phone complained about how many items they had to ship out for the auction house and said they would confirm. Two days later and no confirmation. Called the auction house and they still have the item. We have waited a week to get this shipped...and they still haven't done anything. We have moved on to another shipper LUXE and they have done everything within 24 hours. read more

My name is Greg; I'm the manager of The UPS Store in New Hope, PA. In response to Matt F: This store accepts all methods of payment - cash, check, or credit cards. The only time we ever ask that the payment be cash is if the amount is much less than $10. Congress passed legislation in 2010 called the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, which affords us the right to set a minimum on credit/debit card purchases. We respectfully reserve the right to do so, and politely ask our customers to honor that request. There is an ATM machine just outside our store. We make a point to tell anyone who takes the time to get cash for a small transaction that we "appreciate" them doing so. We have even held "IOUs" for some customers. Most all consumers are aware of rising costs. Yes, merchant fees are "a part of doing business." However, in an effort to keep our prices competitive, we only ask for our customers cooperation in helping us keep our costs associated with credit transactions as low as possible. read more

Horrible service and pricing. First of all, they make you write down the delivery information. My old store would type it right in and get me tracking immediately. They take the slip and put it on the box and stack it and do it later. As a business owner, I want tracking immediately to show my customer their package shipped. I don't want to wait till the end of the day when they eventually get it entered and email me the tracking number. Never heard of this tactic before. Plus, they wanted $33 to ship something to Nevada. US post office charged me $18 bucks. Even worse, to box the item, they wanted another $15 for a total of $48. I bought a $2 box at Staples and did it myself for a grand total of $20 bucks. Use the Post Office Folks. Same delivery timeframe. Tracking number too. For $28 bucks LESS than this UPS store. Don't use the New Hope store. Horrible service and rip off pricing. Stay away. read more

The store did a lousy job packing up a box for us. They said that they would put enough cushioning in the box so nothing broke. They put all of my stuff in a plastic bag, put it in a box and then put styrofoam peanuts around it. So all of the items were smashed together, one container broke and covered everything with it's contents. It was a total mess. I specifically asked them to wrap an item because it was fragile and they didn't wrap it all all, just threw it in the middle with everything else. I won't use this store again. read more

I guess only taking cash is the new way to conduct business due to the fact that the employee would "appreciate it." Perhaps I'm just behind in the times though. My understanding was that if a business is providing a good or service to a customer, payment is payment regardless of method. I'll have to experiment with another location to see if this is consistent with all UPS stores. read more

this store's service people are being directed to the interests of the owner NOT the customer. I will NEVER go there again. They did not answer my questions and twisted their information to sell me what I did not want, I wanted FASTEST, not highest margin, turns out the owner was right there posing as a "customer" , told the service person "Good Job" as I was leaving. now my international package is just sitting in US because they would not sell me the fastest available.
