This UPS store was the closest mailing service to our rental and thought our things would be safe with them. I have worked in mailing for 5 years and have never made a mistake like this. We took a huge bag christmas presents we had bought that would not fit in our suitcases we're mailing them home to ourselves. The girl who was apparently the manager there, took our things and verified the address. We wanted to box our own items and offered but she INSISTED that she pack them up for us. We left with our receipt thinking everything was fine. Then a week later, we get home and a small box arrives.. we are thinking, there is NO way that she fit all our things in that box... and we were right. We opened the box to find 2 Spectrum internet routers and a remote control. The box had our label on it and she sent our things to some warehouse. We started panicking, filed a claim immediately, and tried calling the store. The store never answered our calls. We called 4 times and no one would answer and their mailbox was full. I finally got one employee on the phone who sounded high and did not care about our problem AT ALL. He said there was nothing he could do and that we needed to call corporate. As you can imagine, calling UPS is a NIGHTMARE. Its next to impossible to speak to a human. After finally getting ahold of corporate, they said "Oh no this is a store error so you need to take it up with the store". But the store doesnt answer my calls and they are all high and dont care that they lost my things. Customer relations literally had to email the store owner and force them to help me. The owner, Waldo reached out to me with some tracking numbers that could be my package. I looked them up and all it provided me was the city and state of where my package had gone. I googled spectrum warehouses from all around the area. Calling everyone. I even called spectrum customer service to see if there was any way that they could get a note out to please look for my package. Then after no luck and no update from Waldo after another week going by (in the beginning i called them every other day) now it had turned into a weekly thing since they never had any updates. I left like no one was working on this except for me. I broke down on the phone that day in tears. I felt like i was going insane. Then Waldo replied a week later with the address of where my package had gone but said he was "waiting on a contact from UPS corporate since they have a relationship with the warehouse". I took the address and googled it and got a phone number for the warehouse in less than 1 minute. I began calling them. I spoke to a man there who knew the man who signed for my package and said he had left for the day but that he could call me tomorrow when he was back in the office and let me know. He was very kind and i finally was hopeful about my package again even though this was now 3 weeks later :( The next day i waited for his call and he never called. I called him and it went to voicemail, i left a message. I called the next day and no answer. and again the next day. My thoughts are they received this package 3 weeks ago and it probably sat there for a while and then they either threw my stuff away or took it home. UPS let this situation sit for 3 weeks. I could of gotten my stuff back if they had actually cared and looked into this. UPS is just a bunch of the same type of lazy uncaring person who passes you off from person to person because they dont care about you or your stuff. Now its been 1 and 1/2 months since they lost my package. Last week when i called for an update, a girl told me to send over every item that was in the package with proof of amount and proof of purchase. I explained to her that I live in CA and the majority of the items were bought in New york and that i had bank statements showing the stores but that I was worried about being able to find each item online in the case they dont have an online store. The UPS lady told me "Oh well! too bad". I swear everyone that works for UPS is the most awful person ive ever met. I was able to track down most of the things and found items similar enough for the others. I sent an extremely detailed list to them and was as thorough as possible. Pictures and everything they asked for. They are now telling me that after asking for all of that and me providing it, that they will just go ahead and give me the bare minimum which was the $200 i claimed. I explained to them that was unacceptable after everything they had put us through with this and that the insurance is for lost or damaged packages and my package did not even have a chance to be lost or damaged because they literally sent it straight to someone else. They are saying that i am SOL and they wont do anything else for me. For all i know, my things might have not even made it into the box. The worker could of stolen them. I dont know how UPS is in business after seeing all these terrible reviews. I am never using UPS again. read more

This is by far the most incompetent group of people I have ever had to deal with In my entire life. From the bottom worker to the manager to the co owner of the store to the corporate channels you have to contact to resolve a customer service issue every single person I've come into contact with associated with this store is not only completely incompetent but also very clearly and openly do not care about the service they provide. A store manager placed a different shipping label on my box with personal items from my honeymoon on them. We even offered to pack the box ourselves because it was so sentimentally and monetarily valuable to us and she said, "no, I got it" she then places our items on the back table and proceeded to help others. She definitely did not have it and swapped the label for our 10+ items with a tiny box with 2 tiny spectrum cable boxes. As soon as we received the wrong box with our label on it that was beginning of a long drawn out process where everyone associated with this UPS blaming their mistake on each other. Customer service puts the blame on the owner of the franchise while the owners put all the work and responsibility on the customer service department instead of working on training their own managers and employees better. When I first called the store to tell them about the missing package the clerk there said there was nothing he could do and put it on his manager. Then told us to call back on a Wednesday. It was a Friday when we called. Then the owner said there was nothing he could do and put it on customer service. Then customer service informed us that it is absolutely the responsibility of the store to fix and/or compensate for the problem. It's now 30 days later, we still don't have our box or any information and still haven't started the discussion of compensation. We do not even want to use our insurance and be compensated, we want our personal items that we were shipping to our own house. Every time we call customer service or get an email from the co owner it's more BS of them not having answers or waiting on answers. They've now put it off for a month as far as I know I am the only one who contacted the place they sent our box to. The lack of accountability is honestly disgusting and repulsive in every way. It's your choice to own a customer service franchise just as it's the choice of your employees to work in the customer service business. The lack of empathy and understanding I've received during this entire experience is a clear indication that there is a serious disconnect between what is expected from a situation where your store is 100% hours to blame for this issue. This is not a "lost package." The co owner even had the audacity to say that the labels, "sometimes get swapped on boxes while shipping." The hilarious irony of this all is that I worked at a mail place for 3 years when I was 16 and we never swapped the label on any boxes or EVER had boxes mysteriously swap labels during shipping. It doesn't happen. This was just yet another example of another person at this store trying to put the blame on everything but themselves, their training, their employees and their own mistakes. Please avoid this store at all costs. UPS stores are franchised and it makes mistakes like this a complete time consuming and helpless mess. I have never once had a problem losing a box that I shipped to MYSELF through fed ex or USPS. This franchised store does not care about taking accountability and will do the absolute bare minimum to help you. If the manager and owners are incompetent than you can be absolutely sure the rest of the workers are just as untrained as incompetent as they are. AVOID. read more

The staff are friendly. I don't know why there are bad reviews, but all the staff are friendly at the moment.
