Extremely small place but it gets alot of foot traffic in the area. I was there today and I have never seen it that full with packages as tall as the ceiling almost. I never had any issues with the workers here. There are only two people working at a time here. There is usually a line for this place. During the height if the pandemic they did take all the precautions and although the lines were very long, I give the workers soo much credit. read more

Going to the UPS store should never take an hour, but here it does!! It's not like I needed anything complex done either. I was returning a properly sealed package with a preprinted return label attached. Staff / owner lack all business acumen and could fix this error with the slightest bit of logistical adeptness. This is the rudest, most obnoxious UPS or store I have ever been in. You try and walk in and they scream "two at a time". Then they scream "don't block the door" if you are standing too close to entrance". The person today was beyond disgusting.They are unbelievably rude. I just wanted to buy a box. read more

UPS 1632 First Avenue is another nice location for printing copies and packages. Since the scaffolding went up I forget it is here. It's a little more spacious than other locations. I go early so I don't wait in line. When I mail a package I take a photo of the mailing label. I get the receipt and track the package online. I've had good luck so far. I prefer UPS to other delivery services. read more

This store continues to refuse to service me and says they are closed when there is no one in line and the doors are open and I have a simple qr code drop off. Extremely small UPS store on the upper east side. They have a policy of only "two people in the store at a time" regardless of the temperature outside - so be advised (and to be clear this isn't a COVID issue as I'm writing this in 2023 - it is purely a "our place is too small" issue) Additionally if you have your mailbox here, there is no place to stack up outgoing packages other than against the mailboxes. I don't know what someone who had a blocked mailbox would do if had tried to come in while we were there. Anyway - size of space does matter sometimes - so be advised of what you are entering into before you venture out to this location. read more

As it is convenient to transportation and one of my buildings, I have used this location quite a few times. I have always found the staff to be relatively friendly and helpful. I have shipped a lot of things over the years and have leaned some best practices. I had to laugh when I read some of the negative reviews for this location. If you want your boxes to show up in one piece make sure you tape them well so they don't fall apart in transit. That means adding tape to corners and edges, especially if items are heavy. If they're clothing put them in plastic bags before you ship them. If they're fragile pack them carefully with a lot of padding. As far as Amazon returns make sure you read the instructions that Amazon gives. Sometimes you can just bring the item as is, sometimes you have to bag, and sometimes you have to box it up. And make sure you dont print shipping label with ink that will smear if it gets wet! read more

The woman waiting on me today was having a loud personal conversation (argument, really) while I tried to do two Amazon returns. I had about 20% of her attention, while she yelled and cursed at the person on the other end of the phone and said that she didn't want to be there. Well, how bad the UPS store can be, right? You come in, they scan the code and either accept the item or tell you what the system tells them based on the code they scanned. OMG, let me tell you: lazy, rude, and arrogant worker can make such a simple experience into a bazaar nonsense by refusing to do his job AND SERVING THE CUSTOMER, but instead deciding he is in a position to lecture that customer and using crazy examples that have nothing to do with the situation at hand refusing to simply scan the code! After wasting 30 min of my precious time I had to go to another UPS store where the worker scanned the code and took care of the item within less than a minute without a hitch. read more

Incredibly rude staff. They have their own policies when it comes to Amazon returns and when you ask for clarification, they tell you you're being rude. When I asked this individual his name, he refused; you'd only do that if you knew you were being rude and disrespectful. I've been coming to this store for over a year, and I've never had such horrendous service. Multiple times he said in a very condescending way that Amazon isn't UPS, and when I said I understood that (I've been a customer of both companies for years), he said "I don't think you do." He also blamed me for holding up the line and a myriad of other things. Unbelievable. If your specific store doesn't follow Amazon's instructions, then you should explicitly post this somewhere so people don't waste their time. read more

If I could give this store 0 stars I would. I just had the worst experience with an employee. Ive worked in customer service for years so I get it. They're underpaid, over worked, and under appreciated but if I spoke to a customer the way this man did to me I would have been fired from any job. I didn't see that there awas a second customer in the room as she was hidden behind some boxes and I wasn't sure if I had to go back outside (as occasionally I've seen them allow three people inside) so I didn't think it was a big deal as it's literally in the 40°s tonight and the person being helped was wrapping up. There was also an employee just standing around not helping the second customer and move things along faster. The employee screams "ok we have to read the sign people we only allow two customers in this store go outside" again I know he's probably sick of having to enforce this dumb rule all day but there's a way to speak to customers as a representative of this company. When it was finally my turn to be allowed inside I asked if there were too many people in here since by then 2 more employees had come in and were hanging out. I don't know if it's a lingering Covid protocol, a fire code thing, or just a rule management made up and I genuinely did not want to get yelled at again. He responded "well you didn't care about that before" which was just shocking! Then when I was done and said I didn't need a receipt he threw my box in the pile and said "mmm have a nice night" in the most sarcastic tone I've ever heard. I never had an issue with the one that used to be open on 89th and I'm starting to believe I have to start going out of my way whenever I have to ship something because I refuse to be spoken to like that when I'm just trying to drop off a package. read more

All other reps are great except for Diaa. He treats you like you're incompetent and is asking you to do stuff he's supposed to do. Prior, I caught him yelling at an employee like he was a child. Like dude, no one asked you to work at UPS.... Expect to walk out frustrated if you get served by him because you can't yell at someone who is miserable with their life. read more

I started coming to this UPS store when the one closer to my apartment closed. I would literally pay that one to reopen myself if it meant never having to come here again. The staff is extremely rude and slow, every time I come in they are eating and talking to each other rather than helping customers and they have an inexplicable rule that only 2 customers can be in the store at a time (completely understood during covid, but no other stores have similar rules at this point.) I would recommend finding another UPS store if possible, I will be as well. read more

I come to this location all the time and have always had a good experience until recently. On my last visit, I had just changed my mind and decided to ask for receipt for my package and was unnecessarily yelled at by the woman with short curly hair. She raised her voice saying that next time she wouldn't give me one because she had already asked me earlier. Her rant and attempt to humiliate me took longer than it did for the other woman behind the counter to print my receipt. She shouldn't treat her customers this way and then threaten to refuse service for no valid reason. read more

This seems like a busy location, and only two customers are allowed inside at a time during the pandemic -- so there could be a wait. We needed to send a large box with some fragile items across the country and were able to get right in. Theo helped us and came up with great packing options to keep all of the items safe -- and everything ended up arriving in perfect condition. The packing and shipping charges are not cheap (its not USPS after all), but are worth it if you don't want to get your own box and try to pack everything safely yourself. Would definitely use this store again! read more

The hours are extremely limiting: 10am - 6pm Tuesday - Friday, and 10am - 5:30pm on Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday. I have been an essential worker during all of this, and do not work from home and the hours are EXTREMELY limiting and do not provide any availability for me to pick up my packages. I left work early today, got in an Uber, and was told I only have one item there when there were two additional packages, one that was expiring today, that I did not even get. It's just not a great customer service centric place anymore. There used to be a woman and a younger gentleman there earlier on this year that I haven't seen in a while. They worked efficiently, were positive, and helpful. I now hear the current workers making fun of the UPS delivery driver as he's leaving, and just a feeling of chaos and lack of organization. The woman at the counter couldn't even address a question I had properly without making it seem like she's too busy and I'm an inconvenience. There was no one in the store or calling. Terrible service. I spent over 700 dollars to move 6 boxes from NY to LA. They completely botched the job and my boxes showed up ripped to shreds with items missing and damaged. It's now been over a month and I've been fighting with them for a simple refund or at least damage coverages. They refuse to work with me and are now ignoring me. I like this store. The staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. They offer a wide range of services - fax, copies, mailers, sending packages, et al. and they are conveniently located. I keep needing to remind myself that this is not the USPS, which accounts for the significantly higher prices they charge. But nothing beats them for convenience. Really simple review here. I'm an Amazon prime guy, which inevitably leads to plenty of return packages. This could be a huge pain, but going to this store is absolutely painless. It's tiny, but has everything you need. The twice a month I pop in are always seamless. I drop in, drop off the package, it gets scanned, I get a receipt, I leave. Done and done. The employees have always been super nice and know what they're talking about. Shipping items isn't fun, but this store makes it way easier. read more
