He clicked once and my ears weren't visible, I asked him to click another and he shrugged. I mean go home, take rest, don't work coz your attitude clearly sucks. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I emailed an order, had to call to confirm the order since no one responded for hours, then when I picked up the order was 1 copy, rather than the requested 15 copies. I was told they'd be printed and would call me when done. I went back 2 hours later - and the person left for the day - without calling me that the job was done. I went the next morning to pick my 14 copies and had to wait another hour. The print job was an embarrassment - misaligned trim, didn't follow directions on the cover/back page, varying bindings. $400 for a mess. Stick to Staples or FedEx instead of trying to support a local business that does not care about quality or customer service. read more

The person who assisted me today was a gentleman. I came in about 30 min before closing for a 200 page double sided print, and he answered my many questions, printed a sample to make sure it was what I wanted before printing the whole thing, and overall was really nice and patient. read more

First impression: No greeting no smiling. But this is fine, it's New York City. I told the guy I wanted to print some B/W doc. He pointed at two PCs on the left side of the shop. Ok, self service is great. I sent four pages to the printer. One came out nice. Two were printed on some yellow paper with texture. One missing. He didn't comment on the yellow pages at all. I asked for the missing page and was told to send it again. So i did. Nothing came out. He told me to send again. Did it. Nothing came out. Then he finally realized there was no more paper in the printer... Meanwhile, there were two other employees hanging around the printer chatting. He loaded the printer. The missing page got printed. I was happy. Then I asked him why two pages were printed on yellow textured paper (apparently they were the leftover pages from the bottom of the printer drawer indicating the end of the paper.) He answered:"They were printed by mistake." So if I had not questioned about it, he would just let me take the "mistakes". I was not happy, but I was allowed to re-print. I was happy again. Money time. They requested 3 dollars for 4 B/W pages, letter size. I told them it was written on their wall that 0.25 cents for a B/W page. They told me I was charged extra 2 dollars for using their PC!! Ok, my mistake, it was also written on their wall "Computer rental: 2 dollars for 10 minutes". But wasn't this self service? So now I should pay for me serving myself?? I tried to reason with them that I could not have printed without touching their PC. They (now with the support from other two employees) explained how to print without touching their PC by murmuring with a strong Mediterranean(?) accent. I didn't get it at all. I was not happy. At last, they decided to do me a great favor by charging me ONLY 1 dollar for "computer rental". I accepted their offer only because I could not wait to get out of this dirty and scammish business. One dollar isn't much money. But I would rather give it to subway performers than lazy scammers. Oh! Did I mention that they didn't know how to print my passport photo from my flash drive? read more

BE AWARE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I decided to stop here to scan some documents instead of going to the nearby Staple. Buy Local, right? I got in and no greeting or anything. The man was at the phone talking a foreign language, probably indian. Even when he saw me he never stopped to talk and looked at me like "what do you need?". I asked to scan 80 pages and send them to my email address and that I would have came back in 10 minutes. When I came back he was still at his phone. I asked how much: $28! Not even a drop of toner, not even that much of man work (he just put the paper in the feeder of the machine...). 28 dollars. Rude and Expensive. Great place to go for shipping, printing etc. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Service is not bad, quality is okay, and generally fast. This place is a good spot to get out of a printing or binding emergency. However, be aware that because of this they seem to make up they prizes as they go and they will try to squeeze as much money as they can from you on your visit. If you have time available, then there are definitely places with way better prices for binding and printing starting with staples just around the corner. If you don't have time or if everything else is closed, then this place will save you, but you better make your wallet ready at their disposal. read more

Terrible experience, called in to have my portfolio "perfect bound" (the man assures me he can do this). The day before my interview I stop by to pick my portfolio up and they give me a color print of horrible quality and it is spiral bound (how?!?!) and proceed to charge me $67?! Do not go here unless it's for a basic service and especially not if you're a graphic designer and care about your color prints not getting screwed up. read more

There is a copyland on 2nd and 83rd. Go there. This guy was really ridiculous. He quoted me on 26 pages and said $5.90. I said cool, and did back on front, 26 pages. He never mentioned that the charge is ink, not paper. After I printed the initial 13 he looked at them and I said ok I'll print 13 more since its only $5.90. He said NOTHING to me, then when I cam up to pay he doubled the price! Courtesy would have been to give me a heads up. I sucked it up and paid. Then I attempted to use his stapler, which was pretty cheap. I asked if he had a nicer one (the copyland by me has a great industrial one) because I was stapling so many pages and literally tossed an identical crappy stapler across the desk. Which didn't work. And he just shrugged and walked away. I'd rather carry a printer in my purse than come back here. read more

Great experience here and I immediately wanted to write a review ( which I never do) I was in a bit of a bind yesterday as I had ran out of inserts for my wedding invitations. Reordering them through the original method was not an option due to timing. I wasted 90 mins of my time and money at staples where they have no clue and don't really want to help you. Then I found Copland and the gentleman took care of everything for me. The inserts for my very formal invitations are perfect and he was very patient with me which I fooled around with font etc. Overall a great experience and very helpful. Would not waste my time going to staples again when there is actually someone in this store who enjoys his job and takes pride in his work! Thank you so much again!! read more

I live right by here and always pass by without thinking about it but they popped up as a place where you can get passport photos (I needed one for a job) so since it was so close, I decided to give it a chance. I'm a screenwriter and I had an old script that I could not find the digital version of. The paper version of It was an old and very poor copy and had lots of strange marks on it and I needed to get it off the paper page and into an editable form so I could copy it into Final Draft. I think the business of transferring from paper directly into editable digital is called the OCR process. The young man who answered the phone at Copyland, whose name I think began with an 'M' was calm and polite on the phone and said he could do the job. He was so calm, I called back as I'd had trouble elsewhere, encountering a general air of obstructive hysteria: "Impossible!" etc. Could he really do it? He said, "Yes, I can do it, bring it in." He said he could do it for less than half the price of Staples - Kinkos couldn't do it at all. So I went there and he did it, very calmly, very quickly, and with good will. Super nice guys, super reliable. Copyland Center is a little jewel of the neighborhood, you can take there any of the odd-job related to paper and printing, and they'll get it done. They have helped out when I'm rushing for photocopies, passport photos, shipping, you name it. I've just discovered they also handle business cards! We have a Staples around the corner but it sure doesn't compare to the real personal service of Copyland. read more
