I have been to this location 2 times. Both times I found the staff to be rude and not helpful. Was here once with a friend and she needed help sending out a package but they told her to do it self serve. There was an issue with the machine or something so my friend went to another location as she felt too they were not helpful. If there was a minus one star, that is what I would assign to these rude people. We took two Amazon returns to this store. The staff insisted we use an Amazon kiosk that was not working. Eventually they took the Amazon returns. We provided the QR codes for the returns. This staff refused to provide a receipt. Of course... Amazon claims they did not receive the goods. As a post note - We receives an email from the UPS Store. We replied with additional details. Of course, there is no follow up to-date. If there is a minus 1 star we choose that rating. read more

$6 fee to print a sticker is robbery, yes it's one block away from park ave. But at least have your own business email. Service charge for sending a file to an unauthorized gmail is so cheesy UPS. They stay open til 7:30pm on a Monday which is great I will give credit there. Just bring your own label. read more

This UPS store told me it would cost $78 to send a package (a small painting, pre-packed) from NYC to Greenwich, CT if it was delivered the next day. Delivery three days later would cost $40. I tried the nearby FedEx location instead. They charged me $14 to deliver the same package to the same address the next day. I'll never use UPS again. read more

The manager responds to complaints with generic, cookie-cutter replies but clearly has no intention of changing the policy. If this were an isolated incident, it might be excusable, but the pattern suggests a deliberate refusal to follow standard UPS practices. Even more troubling, the manager remains anonymous. Employees won't provide their name, making accountability impossible. This lack of transparency is unacceptable for a corporate-affiliated business. I will be filing a formal complaint with UPS corporate, as individual franchise locations do not have the authority to disregard company policies. I encourage others who've experienced this issue to do the same. The more complaints logged, the more likely corporate will intervene. Until this location starts following standard UPS procedures, I recommend taking your business elsewhere. Service is very disrespectful not only to the customers but how they handle the packages. They threw my box on the floor, without any care of attention. I asked him if I should put fragile on it and he said it doesn't matter they'll throw it anyway. Like him. I would give zero stars if that was an option....I went there today to return a Macy's purchase. I had the QR code and everything needed -- I did NOT need a printed label. (Macy's clearly started "no printer needed") The item was in its original box, unused. The UPS rep refused the return saying (a) I needed the original box and then (b) I needed a printed label. I told him I didn't need a printed label and it is already in its original box. He said he needed the shipping box. That was not needed according to Macy's.... Very rude and unhelpful. I will return the item directly to Macy's. They are always pleasant and helpful. I phoned Macy's to complain and check their online details were correct. They refused to give me a paper receipt for an expensive drop off item and I asked twice.

The employees here are a nightmare. You are expected to scan, package/bag you return and label it - if your return doesn't fit in the bag the machine tells you to see the attendant. I finish one and the second one doesn't fit in the bag so I go see the attendant with my other returns. He then scolds me for not ignoring the prompts and coming to him when I finish. As if anyone iOS supposed to know that. He is then aggravated that he has to complete my other returns -5 total. When I ask him for a print out he says he doesn't provide that, I told him the kiosk does and he said "that's the kiosk" and to wait for an email. The next day the email comes in and turns out he missed a scan! Unbelievable!!! The customers are doing all the work for amazon returns and the line had 10 people the desk had zero! The employees snicker and roll their eyes at you. It's a complete joke. I'll never come here again. Don't work with customers if you don't like to help people. read more

If you need a package delivered at an access point for any reason, do NOT select this location. They reject packages and the drivers will incorrectly mark the package as delivered. Leaving you to chase and call every customer service representative to locate a package you paid to have delivered there. Thats what happened to me. And they have no problem doing this as they have made it their standard procedure. read more

This location has rejected and returned my packages to the sender multiple times without informing me of this until after the fact. When I went to ask them why they did this the worker on duty was rude and unhelpful. I would recommend staying away from this location. read more

My recent experience with UPS has been so poor that I will never use UPS again, my family is in the process of switching our small business shipping needs to FedEx, & I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau. I shipped 3 packages from NYC (UPS 1202 Lexington Ave, NY, NY 10028) to Atlanta on 10/4/22. UPS either delivered these packages to an address that does not exist, or simply lost them. Instead of returning the packages to me or contacting me, the packages have disappeared and UPS will not cooperate in tracking them down. A UPS employee who called himself 'Franklin' (who I met with several times) at the UPS store on 1202 Lexington Ave agreed to help me open an investigation but when I followed up a week later, I was told by another staff member, CJ, that no one by the name 'Franklin' worked at the store & no investigation had been filed. CJ proceeded to hang up on me twice before I went to the store in person again. I was told by a customer service rep today that they have closed the file and will no longer assist me. I have attempted to file a claim online with UPS and their websites indicates that my packages are not eligible for a claim along with an error message which I am unable to resolve based on their instructions. The main customer service line is designed to prevent you from speaking with a human to discuss claims, they direct you to the claims website which either does not work or will not accept the claim information (error message). The difficulty and disrespect I have experienced in speaking with UPS customer reps on this issue is by far the worst I have ever experienced in my life. I have spent over 7 hours on the phone trying to resolve this & visited 2 UPS locations on 6 occasions. Everything about this visit was frustrating. Most of all, the sour attitude of the salesman. The price he quoted me was $60 more than the website quote, a matter he was unwilling to discuss. When I suggested repackaging in a smaller box, he claimed it wouldn't help. When I insisted he check, he did find their smallest box would reduce the shipment by $35. The kicker is, they charged me $7.50 for this tiny (approx 4" sq) box. Then he insisted I go out into the street to repackage my shipment! The whole interaction felt like a ripoff, and a rude and off-putting one at that. The whole time making me feel like my business was not worthwhile, and that I should leave his store and stop burdening him. My question is, why have a store like this if you are going to be so unhelpful. I should have gone to FedEx or USPS, and used a FREE box for my expensive shipment. Next time, I will. read more

A dull, grim joyless place that will only give you a spike in your blood pressure. When I asked the trainee to make copies, he repeatedly messed up the order. When I questioned him, he replied, "this machine is funky." When I next asked him to do back-to-back copies. he was confused but insisted, "this machine has a mind of its own." A full half hour later and after repeated errors, he would not accept the AARP discount because "the cash register is not programmed to accept discounts." Sadly my experience today is part of a pattern in this store of poor customer service, inadequately trained employees, and a woeful lack of familiarity with their own copying machines. I showed up just after opening today to return a package. The UPS front desk worker had so much attitude! No hello, no good morning. It's 9 am, why do you have so much attitude? I also asked for a receipt and he said they don't do that for the kind of package I was returning. This is definitely wrong because I have visited other UPS locations to do the same kind of return and they have been able to provide me with a receipt. The ONLY UPS Store that I have encountered that does not provide receipts for Amazon returns. 3 days after I dropped off 4 small items totalling $135 for return I had to revisit as I had received no confirmation email and my account did not reflect that the items were returned (or even en route to Amazon). The UPS manager was insistent that the system showed that the package was processed, even though they could not provide any tangible proof. She further claimed that every other UPS Store in NYC was violating policy by giving receipts for Amazon returns. I later spent 30 minutes on the phone with Amazon customer service as they tried in vain to track down the package; there was simply no record. I went to this location today to deal with an Amazon return. I received zero help from the staff, and the machine was not functioning properly. Rather than try to be proactive and help they said no Amazon returns today I guess, and shrugged. I see the other reviews and the response is always the same, that they are concerned and want to provide customer service. If that's true then why after all of this did I have my experience today. I had no idea about the other reviews until now, but I had the exact same experience. If you are serious about customer service then do something about it. If nothing changes, then nothing changes. The people who work here go out of their way to be as least helpful as possible. They charge $6 to print 1 sheet of paper, and your dignity they take is priceless when you leave the register. DO NOT USE! Staff is BEYOND RUDE - They are nasty and clueless, they were given packages to ship and told that it had to be sent that day, they held onto it and waited and it never shipped until 4 days later resulting in a return that was invalid due to being a day over the return window costing our company 2K dollars, when we called he could not provide with any proof showing when it left the store and spoke to us as though we were idiots. The driver scans everything taken from the store for tracking and he had ZERO proof of that. The store is a disgraceful mess as well. Rude staff with repeating vague instructions multiple times and sighing while making me walk back and forth from the Amazon return label printer to the counter and waiting in line multiple times. For example, they did not explain that even though my package was too large that I should still hit 'confirm' in the machine to print the label, although the machine itself literally stops and says to see the associate for assistance. When I went back to the counter I was told I should've asked for help from the label machine and not at the counter. If people were even 10% more helpful everyone would have a more streamlined experience. Go to the UPS at 72 and 2nd instead, they're way better. read more
