I've had mixed experiences at this UPS location, but overall been able to get my packages shipped smoothly! This store is on the smaller side and typically I've only seen one person working in the front. Sometimes lines can get long but I appreciate how the staff member tries to speed things up by helping two customers in a staggered manner. Service depends on how busy it is. The store physically is almost small with packages also in the front/occasionally lining the side wall so it can be challenging to navigate with big packages. Despite so, I've still been able to deliver my packages to where they need to go. read more

I went to return 3 amazon packages and had to come back because they were not packaged properly. when i returned i forgot to seal the packages and they would not offer even one piece of tape without charging for the full packaging. I have been there previous times and the customer service is not good, bad attitudes. I picked up my items and am going to another UPS location where they are much more accomodating and even allow animals. read more

The UPS website says very clearly that this site offers passport photos. They definitely do not and the man at the front was unnecessarily rude about letting know me that he could not help me. I stopped by this place to drop off a package for an Amazon return. The store personnel were responsive and helped me with my inquiry. The guy scanned my QR code, created a shipping label and told me I was good to go. When I asked if I could get a receipt, he printed me a duplicate shipping label as receipt and told me I would receive an email from Amazon with the acknowledgement. Good value. I would visit this place again if I'm in the area. read more

Do not use this an access point. They will refuse the package and will not be helpful in replacing/retracing. The store is always too full to receive packages but there's no way to verify this prior to sending packages. I've attempted to use this service during the summer and holidays and both times had issues. This should no longer be advertised as a service. read more

This store is super small so don't expect the same accommodations as the larger locations. But the guys who work there have always been very helpful and always provide great service. They work incredibly hard and are quite pleasant considering how busy this little location is. They deserve accolades. I'm not sure what the issue is. I had 4 small packages going back to Amazon and as I was putting them up on the very small counter one by one, the clerk (or owner) said to put them all up. He proceeded to push one out of the way, scan 3 and tell me to have a nice day. When I told him that he missed one, he was not surprised or apologetic and he scanned it. Why did he not scan all 4 packages? It made me very uncomfortable. read more

This UPS store actually refused a delivery on my behalf on 11/12/24. Not only that, I found out about this almost 24 hours later, after I realized I hadn't received any updates from UPS. After wasting time looking for a solution online, I got a call back from customer service and was told that I couldn't redirect the package to another address and the package was returning to the shipper. This particular store is not a UPS store it's just another vendor courier service that only allows you to drop off packages only. I had the most awful experience in my package being sent to their store assuming I thought was a UPS store where I can pick up my package but that was not the case. Instead they denied my package and turned it away and now I am having a difficult time tracking my package because this store that is not affiliated with UPS but has employees wearing a light blue with the UPS logo posing to be UPS employees are not which is very misleading to say the least. I wouldnt recommend this place not even to an enemy. Came here with my friend after getting off from work up the street. My friend needed to drop a package off so we entered the store. The store did indeed appear dim in lighting but still had people inside of it. We entered and my friend was practically bombarded and pushed out of the store by a worker there who was screaming "We are closed, cant you see we are closed the lights are off" when asked why there were others in the store the angry worker stated "I only let them in because they are picking up a package". After looking into the hours that the store operates it does seem the store was closed for business however, the door was still open and people were still inside which prompted us to enter as well. My friend asked the worker not to speak to her so aggressively and he continued in which we exited the store. This occurrence made me as a UPS customer very upset being as though I can take my business elsewhere and so can my friend. It is very unfortunate that the worker in the store chose to carry himself in this manner because I will NEVER and I repeat NEVER provide business to such an establishment especially being as though there are other options. I will be returning to the store however; to get the name of the angry worker so that I can add his name to an updated review. read more

Extremely helpful gentlemen working a very busy store in what looks to be a very tight space. I've never had a problem shipping either prepackaged or unwrapped items that they'll have wrap and ship. Because of Covid and the tight space there are times that the line to get in extends out the door and past the next door restaurant. Despite that, I've found them to be efficient and courteous. And my packages arrive where they're supposed to (unlike some sad experiences with the USPS and the unhelpful staff at the local FedEx store). read more

I placed an order with a clothing company to be sent to this UPS store for pick up. I had to wait in line to get in with my foot in a surgical boot in the heat then to be told they refused the package because they had little room. Then the package was sent back to a central station to be sent back again to this ups store. I finally cancelled my order from the clothing company. No email or correspondence was sent to me to let me know that my package was no longer there and was re-routed! When I called a UPS main number they were not willing to do anything for me!! I am in medical device sales and my company uses UPS to send our human tissue product. I have used the UPS store on 65th regularly to send my product with no issues. Today I went to this location however and the worker refused to let me drop off an already paid for package. I then had to walk 8 blocks back down to the other UPS store which proceeded to ship my box business as usual. Will never to go 73rd street again! read more

I am shocked that this UPS location only has 3 stars!! I have been to many UPS stores around the UES and this one is actually awesome!! The service is excellent. Everyone who works there is always so polite, proficient, professional and really nice! Throughout the COVID crisis, they've been so efficient and very personable. Even when everything was super tense, the workers always answered questions, never made me feel hurried nor rushed in any way! They keep tight and consistent safety protocols during the pandemic as well. They always appropriately joked around prior to pandemic, and maintained that pleasant demeanor even thereafter. If they're going to accept returns for Zappos and Amazon, they need to start abiding by official Zappos and Amazon policies (as stated to them verbatim from Zappos and Amazon customer service and per written Zappos and Amazon policy). They scream at customers (include elderly) if they're not lightning fast walking to the desk. They knocked over my small child who was standing with me quietly. They take care in what their customers need and always are willing to go above and beyond to ensure I have what I need. I dropped off a package marked clothing with Jeremy at the UPS Store 42. Jeremy at the store relabeled the package as "Christmas Presents" without telling me. This seems to have marked it as appropriate for stealing as the box was torn and everything but one item removed. The box was delivered on time but almost empty. The package was for my 17 year old son who is in the US at school and unable to come home. The contents included clothes he needs and can't afford to buy himself. So far Jeremy from the UPS store has suggested that I can call the police for help and initially indicated he called UPS for a case number but wasn't able to confirm that number. I now have a number but UPS is claiming there is no case and the tracking number given to me by Jeremy invalid. UPS also refusing to assist as the store is independently owned and not associated with UPS parent company. The end result is that I paid UPS Store 42 to ship a package and lost almost all the contents (1 pair of socks arrived) and also got to pay for the shipping. Nobody is willing to help either and both UPS and the owner of the UPS Store 42 are claiming no responsibility. read more

They refuse access point packages. I only found out after having to call that they only take 10 packages. After talking to customer service, I was told to basically wait for them to just return it to sender. I now have to hope they send it back so I can get a refund. I've never been so angry trying to ship a package and that's saying something considering most post office situations tend to be nightmares. I had to send a package that was rather large and would only fit in my little fiat with the top down and I was refused service because the guy at this location said they refuse to take a large box when it's busy and to come back Wednesday (two days later when I need to ship this package asap...) It was such a b*** to carry this box, stuff it in my car and then to be refused service to do it all over again was ridiculous. He claims they didn't have space when really all he was saying was he didn't want to deal with moving a few boxes and making space. Sh*** I would've done it, a little elbow grease won't kill you! Granted I did get very upset and said things like "Are you f*** kidding me you're really going to make me drag this f*** box elsewhere when it was so hard to bring it here?!"(It's been a hectic time recently). I'll admit I lost my cool but just because I used a few big girl curse words in your store doesn't mean you get to turn around and BAN me from your store after you've refused me service. OH YEAH he banned me for cursing. Plot twist folks. Learn how to operate your business. Running a UPS store doesn't mean you get to make up your own rules whenever you feel like it, have some damn respect for your customers. Apparently this store has great reviews talking about how helpful these guys are which makes me think they were discriminating against me for whatever reason but I won't go there. Just sucks to be refused for a service you should receive with no issue. The box was prepaid, taped and ready to go...all they had to do was scan it and we could've worked together to make it fit somewhere. I wish I could give this guy 0 stars. I will be contacting UPS directing and filing a complaint. Clearly this is a bad personal experience and they've been decent to others but you should be treating all your customers with the same respect, patience and willingness to at least TRY and figure out if we can make it work. read more
