Working with this broker has been one of the most disappointing and unprofessional experiences in…read moremy career. He demonstrates a consistent disregard for drivers and their business realities. During difficult market conditions, when many owner-operators are actively seeking freight, he leverages urgency and pressure while presenting offers as "great rates," "steady lanes," and "long-term cooperation." Initially, the terms appear strong and reasonable. However, after the first few loads, a clear pattern emerges. Rates progressively decrease. Conditions quietly change. Requirements become more demanding. The originally presented expectations are no longer honored. What begins as a promising working relationship gradually shifts into reduced compensation and increasingly unfavorable terms. Communication is consistently poor. Messages often go unanswered for extended periods or are ignored entirely. Simple yes-or-no questions require multiple follow-ups. In a time-sensitive industry such as freight transportation, this level of responsiveness is unacceptable and reflects a lack of professionalism and respect for drivers' time. Multiple owner-operators shared similar experiences with this broker. Unfortunately, after working with him directly, I can confirm that these concerns appear consistent. The most serious issue is operational safety. A 1,300-mile load from Frankfort, KY to Laredo, TX was assigned with a 24-hour delivery requirement for a solo cargo van . Realistically, meeting this deadline would require approximately 20-22 consecutive hours of driving with minimal meaningful rest. While certain light-duty vehicles may not fall strictly under federal Hours-of-Service regulations (49 CFR Part 395), that does not eliminate the obligation to plan loads responsibly. Structuring transit times that effectively require extreme driver fatigue reflects poor operational judgment and creates unnecessary risk. Fatigue is a well-documented safety hazard. Planning loads in a way that encourages unrealistic transit expectations puts the driver, the public, and the customer at potential risk. Professional freight coordination requires transparency, consistency, and realistic transit planning. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend doing business with this company.
