I needed a notary quickly for my 91 year old mom who is in so much pain she can barely walk with a walker . Loading her into a Car and traveling is extremely tiring and painful . Because this was a walk in notary, we parked and I had her wait in car to check out the wait time etc. Frank , John and Jessica could not have been more considerate . They had me wait until Frank , (the notary ), was ready. I introduced myself and Frank started gathering up stuff . I was a little puzzled? He said "I'm going out to your mom" OMGoodness I could not believe the kindness being bestowed on us . Tears in my eyes Frank sat in the drivers seat of my car, and was soo sweet with my mom. He made sure she knew what she was signing, gently took her thumb print and notarized our document . The manager, Jessica was the person who authorized this kind move, and John covered the workload while Frank was helping my mom. I can only pay this kindness forward . Went to the UPS store yesterday to ship a hat to Alaska. Prior to paying I asked how much it would cost. Granted, this was a baseball that was ~3+ ounces to be sent to a friend. $88 dollars for the cheapest route. No way I'm paying $88 dollars for a $15 dollar hat. Went to the post office today. Stuffed the hat into a package and again asked the price of shipping. SIX DOLLARS $82 DOLLARS CHEAPER. This is modern day robbery. I expect the owner to respond to this saying something like: "thanks for your review, we value your business. We strive to provide the best customer service as possible and due to inflation our prices have increased". On and on we go. $88 dollars vs $6 dollars is taking advantage of the public. Robbery Alert!! They just charged me $5.21 to print 1 piece of paper!? I always ship from the one off Neve Street and when you email them something and they print it for you it's around $1.25 or $1.65. They charge $5.21 for one piece of paper please avoid using this location at all cost! She tried to say the computer usage when I didn't even use their computer. This is my local UPS store. I've been coming here for years. They hold all my packages when I'm ready to come get them. Whenever I have an odd shaped or big box I come here. The boxes are high quality but a little pricey. I've had them package up huge boxes for me and all items are always delivered undamaged. I love the staff they're super nice. Yesterday I needed to ship my mother a cell phone, I already had the UPS label and need the phone boxed and shipped. I trust them so much I just left the label and phone cause they were a little busy I knew it would be packaged and shipped that day. If you need anything boxed up and you don't have time, or have an odd shaped item that needs to be shipped they will take care of you. PS Jessica is the best. read more

I had to stop in the store this evening and I can say without a doubt the quality of the service at the store remains. This is my go to UPS Store. It is in a strip mall so parking is easy. I come here whenever I have Amazon returns. The staff is always friendly and the store is kept clean. I never stay more than five minutes since they are quick to scan my returns and I am on my way. It is convenient that they are open on Sunday's until 3pm since most UPS stores are not open at all on Sunday's. read more

I brought my elderly client in with large packages to return and he was really helpful He was also professional I was impressed by his attitude and professionalism. He did a great job. My mom went in this morning around 9am to send a package. She's never had to send something out before and was unfamiliar with the process. The two girls were so rude and impatient with her. She was unaware of the charges for boxes and didn't realize she had to package them herself after she paid 30+ dollars. This UPS store should remind their employees the importance of kindness and patience. Instead of losing your patience at 9am and throwing attitude towards an older lady, you can be patient and help her. We will never return to this store. read more

I needed a notary and with SIP my bank refused to help me, but they referred me here. The first time I went in I was told it would be 30 minute wait as they had several live fingerprint scans ahead of me. I went back a few days later and was assisted promptly. $15.00 for single notary, not bad. It is located in a strip mall by DMV, so during "normal life" parking can be a challenge. read more

My daughter dropped a package to be returned and it disappeared. It Never made it to its destination. It had a value of around $200 . Their employees claimed they knew nothing about it. We spoke to the kid that took the package - he "didn't remember her"she remembered him. Really shady. Communicated to the owner and nothing was done. Said he had a "conversation " with his employees and they said they knew nothing about it and their security cameras didn't go back that far. They took advantage of my daughter, took the package and claimed they never saw it. Lessened learned. Do NOT trust this local UPS Business with your packages or returns. I use the UPS Store quite often because I buy and sell on eBay a lot. Normally I go to the one in Greenbrae or the one in Ignacio. But I started working in downtown Novato and thought it would be more convenient to go to this location instead. However they really nickel-and-dime you for every single thing that other UPS Stores provide as a courtesy. Such as printing out labels or taping a label to a box. They charge for this! Which is frankly just crazy and they're very unapologetic about it. Perhaps it's because they're right next to the DMV and probably get asked for free prints all the time. I can understand wanting to make sure that the people who are using your services are actually customers and not just people looking for a free printer. That said, I think it's pretty obvious when somebody walks in with a giant box and a label in their hand that they're a customer. And the idea that they would charge $1 per package for a "handling fee" when all they do is add a couple pieces of Scotch tape. Or $3 to use their computer to print a label, when they can do it faster themselves and takes no real effort on their part. It is just cheap and unwelcoming. It's pretty standard practice at businesses such as the UPS Store and FedEx Office for shipping labels to be printed as a courtesy regardless of the source. Whether they are from the customer emailing the label to the store or the label being generated at the store. It seems absolutely insane to me that they want to charge for these services that every other store considers a courtesy and an essential part of customer retention. Every other UPS Store is happy to do it as a courtesy or just let the customer do it at one of their self-service workstations. It's just a shame because they're so close to my work. But for now on I'll continue going to Ignacio or Greenbrae. read more

Today I visited the store and was helped by a man named Marques. It was very busy in the store and it didn't seem to phase the level of customer service he provided. There was a older woman picking up a heavy package and he offered to assist her with it, she declined, but it was a very sweet offer. Each person he helped in front of me received speedy help but didn't seem like he was pushing them out the door. He was thanked me for waiting, was very personable, and quick. I don't usually send nice reviews unless the person was above and beyond. Marques has great customer service skills and deserved some kudos. read more

This location seems to have the least trained attitude challenged staff I have ever come across at a UPS store. Simple requests get challenging responses and staff are only partially trained on the scope of work. It appears like the branch owner works behind the scenes and it looks like a really toxic work environment. Even though I live in Novato and this location is closest to me, I choose to drive to San Rafael for shipping, notarizing, finger printing and avoid this location at all costs. read more

Unfortunately when there is one bad experience with a UPS store, you almost hesitate to try another - in this case, I'm glad I did. What I found with this location is an owner who truly wants to partner with customers. Takes the extra step in accomplishing what I felt was a big task and out of my experience. I had to ship a chest and certainly frustrated on how to do it. The owner encouraged me to come on in even though it was 10 min before their closing. He had an employee helping me bringing it in, to the other employee explaining to me how freight shipping works as I had other large items about to be sold. This process was seamless and the staff truly know their job, AND most importantly, they do it with a smile with such care. They've taken what I felt was a burden to figure out to fully trusting their experience and knowledge so now I may just focus on the "sale". I will amend this later with the names as it's important to give proper recognition, but I'm doing this at 4am and too lazy to grab their business card out of my truck. Being a senior, and not computer savvy by any means, I get intimidated by the entire return process of going into a store to sent a package back. I went into this UPS location needing help printing the label to go on my return. The staff were really helpful in showing me how to email a copy of my label to that store, how to print it and then affix it to my package. Although I was a bit confused by the entire process, one staff person in particular, named Alicia, was so patient in making everything easy and streamlined. At a time when everyone always seems to be in such a hurry, the staff at this location were efficient, knowledgeable in how to help customers, and very friendly. Instructions were you can send as many as 8..I had 3. Woman rudely says "I can't take them" other UPS places have taken them. She just kept saying I can't take them. This store has great service. Jessica was super helpful and was able to notarize my documents and answer all my questions. They have A great printer with quality paper to use.
