One stop shop!! I had to return my Xfinity cable boxes and I came here. They were quick and efficient. I also needed to get some documents notarized. The owner was able to do that for me. I had to log into your computer station and print out some forms. Very easy set up to do. Overall the customer service was great. With the whole Covid-19, they seem organized and clean also. read more

Dropped off a return at this location and the retailer never received it. When the retailer and I both checked tracking it shows it hadn't been scanned in nor was it moving. Luckily I kept my receipt showing I'd dropped it off at this location. Two weeks later still showed no movement so I contacted this location since I'd dropped it off here and I could never get through to a human by calling the 800 number for UPS. I spoke to associates at this location and each time they promised they would look into it and call me back. Never got a follow up call from them. Maybe it did get picked up, however I'm disappointed that they did not follow up with me after they advised they would on three separate occasions. I thought this was one of the better UPS Stores in terms of customer service but they proved me wrong. ETA: while they state they could not provide any additional information, I spoke with them three separate times and spoke to a manager at least once. Each time they promised to look into the package and call me back. I gave them two weeks to get back to me before even posting a review and never heard back from them at all. Yet when I post a my review, clearly stating that the package may have been picked up and my disappointment lies in them not getting back to me after promising they would multiple times, they ask that I change my review. I bought a very old delicate painting at Clars Auction house. I am always skeptical about the shippers I hire to undertake such important tasks...but with 40 years in the antique business I know it is pretty much a crap-shoot. I hired the UPS Store 7080 to ship as they came in with the best estimate. I held my breath all the way-as I usually do! This delicate painting had to go all the way from Oakland California to the center of Maine! When I walked up to my door I saw a badly damaged and compromised box and I was absolutely mortified!! I was devastated as I opened the box because through the giant hole in the box I saw bubble wrap that was also torn. Ms. Luna the manager at this store packed this item and let me tell you, it was like she KNEW this was going to be whacked. She had the professional forethought to line the painting itself with tissue and face it with an extra layer of cardboard-and THEN wrapped it three times in bubble wrap of different sizes for maximum effectiveness. The painting which I LOVE arrived in absolute PERFECT condition! And we are talking something so delicate it is almost 250 years old! I would not hesitate to TRUST this UPS Store with the most scary shipment-they absolutely KNOW what they are doing-and when it comes to stuff like this, very few shippers do, believe me!! When you're looking up UPS locations, more have 2 or 3 stars because people only review them if they're awful, which they often are. I was intrigued by the excellent review average for this location. I've been there before to ship stuff, usually to drop off packages with prepaid labels, and it's been fine. They also do passport-sized pictures. They can do them any time, and it takes 10 or 15 minutes. It's pricy for two tiny photos, but they do them properly and whatever you need them for, you want it done right. The staff is friendly and helpful and they work quickly. There always seems to be plenty of parking on the streets nearby. read more

By far the best UPS store I've been to. I came in for information on getting a mailbox and was very impressed! They are currently having a deal where they give 3 MONTHS FOR FREE when opening a mailbox for a year. I was also happy to learn that you can get passport and ID photos done here. Monica was very informative and mentioned that I could get my CHINESE VISA here. It is very rare to find places that can do this. Both VK and Monica were quick to answer any questions I had. I will make sure to return to this location whenever I'm in need of notary services, faxing, shredding, shipping and printing. If you're looking for easy and fast service come here! read more

During this stupid pandemic I received 4 pink boxes with items less then $100.00 to best help me after I was at the hospital.. I received several calls from them I asked if I could authorized someone else to pick up my packages they said no that in my contracted stated I was the only one authorized to get them how can I come if I was fighting for life at the hospital!!! Today I came after getting discharged on Saturday... I explained to the main boss man my situation he said he couldn't do anything about it to just charge me $250 because usp Corp comes to supervised his location and my packages were still here at his location the packages came on the 9/2 so is not only customer service but... just understanding i have used them for years! Oh wait I tried to cancel and get my money back cause I prepaid my service of the PO BOX till February they won't reimbursed me I could cancel but they won't give me a penny for those months I paid!!!! read more

I was in a panic to find a place where I can print, get a document notarized and faxed. The staff here totally rock!!! The person that answered my phone call was very informative and straight forward with the service that they offer. The staff kept the line moving so there was not a long wait. The lady that helped was so kind and informed with what to do. She effortlessly processed my Amazon return, helped me print out my document that I needed notarized, she notarized it and even faxed it off with me all with a smile and to my surprise all of the services came out to less than 20 bucks. I'll be honest, I was dreading this particular errand. I know how busy shipping centers can get and in turn how snappy the workers (and fellow customers) can get, especially this time of year. To my pleasant surprised, this was the easiest and most enjoyable errand of the day. There were no lines when I arrived, but plenty of worker to handle it when a line did form after me. Most significantly, the staff here is wonderful! The women who rang me up were both efficient and friendly. It was that feeling of being seen/treated like a human rather than simply a customer. Location wise it's not particularly convenient to where I live but, in my opinion, it's worth the extra drive for a store I know will have my best interest in mind. read more

The little girl that was completely unprofessional at your store doesn't deserve the respect of me caring about her name. this may be the greatest mistaken business oversight that I've ever seen. As a former UPS employee I can tell you that the store sucks. Why? Sit back and listen dear reader.I went to get my fingerprints done apparently there a couple of different types of e-fingerprints that can be done and I didn't know that. so when I went to the UPS store in Oakland - even though on their website they said that they could handle what apparently are called live fingerprint scans (A complete falsehood even though that's what it said on the website.) So I went to the store and they were completely empty. I went up to the little girl that was behind the desk playing "store" and I told her that I need to get my fingerprints scanned and she asked me "Do you have a QR code?" And I said "no. But I have the information." As far as where it should go. And her eyes glazed over like a deer in headlights because she wasn't expecting that - she was expecting some nice little QR code like she usually does but I blew her mind apparently with a minor outlier situation and she couldn't problem solve and she couldn't handle it. I needed a SWFT type of fingerprint for a government position. With her eyes still glazey behind her specs, she told me that she couldn't do "live"scans even though the website said that they could but she did mention that she thought "some store north of there" did it. So I said "OK well I'd made an appointment to get my fingerprints at the Richmond store and they told me I could come in whenever" but now upon learning this information I asked if she could call the Richmond store to confirm that they could do this type of "live" fingerprint scan that apparently the Oakland store couldn't do even though the website so that they could. This is the printscan website that I'm talking about which is like a serious website that the military relies on to get fingerprint scans done for national security. And this little girl had no interest in helping me. why? because she said "That's not my job." are you kidding me? It wasn't her job to Take five minutes to call a number she could probably pull up in a second that I didn't have to ask a question about something I didn't know about and I needed her expertise about fingerprints which she didn't have? I even asked her if she would just call the number and I would do all the talking and she refused. Weak. Making Gen Z look bad But pretty much meeting expectations of all the other generations.. this is the worst UPS store I've ever seen. it's called customer service/hospitality, VK. She is a little girl, VK. You have hired someone incompetent. Is she your daughter? That would make sense I guess.A little girl. I don't care what the little incompetent worker's name is - it's mud as far as I'm concerned because her attitude is crap. attitude determines altitude or have you not heard that, VK? It figures usually deflect and defend instead of owning up. what comes down from the top goes down to the bottom - it's all about leadership and being honest with you and your employees' shortcomings. unless you didn't train/treat them right -- which would make it your fault. She has absolutely no customer service skills. As long as somebody comes in and asks for whatever is on the menu she's able to deliver but the second she has to go outside of her comfort zone her professionalism leaves much to be desired. She's costing you money man. She's costing you money. she already cost me a friggin double digit Lyft ride over there for nothing - she's already cost me money and I didn't even increase your revenue/profit margin b/c you hire incompetent employees -- which btw doesn't reflect well on you. read more

A review for location: 5627 Telegraph Ave Oakland, CA 94609 A very nice man helped me over the phone. He answered a few questions I had regarding a package that was supposed to be delivered a week ago, but has yet to be delivered (~7 days delayed). I had previously called UPS customer service and was routed around for 10 minutes and never talked to a human or got any information about shipping delays. The tracking information is stuck in a loop and hasn't been updated in several days. This nice man listened to my question and provided some information. That's all I was after. I came here to print a few pages at their self-serve printing station. I was able to only print PDFs but not a few Word Docs that I had; I was provided immediate customer service by the friendly clerk who informed me that the printers could only print PDFs off a USB stick. I asked if they had a computer available and she said it has been broken and maintenance is delayed due to COVID. I was starting to become dismayed at the thought that I may have to bike all the way back home to convert my Word docs to PDF and bike back to print, but she was kindly able to print from her own admin computer at no extra cost. Perfect for package safety, you don't have to worry about land pirates and pure crimes of opportunity when it comes to the mailboxes. Yes it's it's more then the postal service boxes but you are able to get a variety of brands delivered to you at your assigned address. As far as everything else service pricing is paying for convenience. If you don't have time to run to the less then a dollar store, if you don't have time to go to to the different 3 - 5 letter company's shipping location then you are paying for the easy access period. Bonus: You get to recognize the staff of the location that is handling your stuff; Which slowly can eases your mind over time and there is value in that. read more

The owner is friendly and humorous - I've come in, and he would make light friendly jokes, which makes a UPS trip more pleasant. I needed to ship three different large (4ft x 4ft) fragile paintings across the country and the team at this store custom created cushioned cardboard containers, and all of my paintings arrived in excellent condition: the gallerist I sent them to said they were the best packaged she had ever seen. Thank God these guys are open. I've had challenges with similar stores in the area (lack of parking, poor service), so I've been waiting for this store to open for a while. It was worth the wait. The service was both efficient and friendly. I had to ship something internationally (which is always a bit painful) but they made it easy. There's also plenty of free street parking right in front of the store. So no frustration in running a simple errand anymore. Overall I am very happy with this store. I was very pleased with the service provided by this UPS Store. I called first because I had a situation whereby I needed to send my passport to a consulate in NYC for a visa but needed a self addressed return envelope-prepaid with my application. They were familiar with this process and said that they could do it. So I went there, bypassing my usual UPS store, who's location I which I won't mention but who had a lower Yelp rating. Anyway, I received quick, competent, and courteous service and was very pleased. I will probably return here for future service even though it's a bit out of my way. read more

I was inside the store at 4:30 PM struggling with my packing tape as they charge to use their packing tape (USPS does not). Both associates saw me, there was no one else in the store. At 4:32 they advised their registers are closed and they cannot help me. They said it's fine as packages don't ship today and to just come back tomorrow. I work full time and cannot make it back over to the store tomorrow. Absolutely horrible customer service. Support your local USPS and do not give your business to this UPS store. read more

While the UPS policy of requiring you to print your own label or pay them to print for you reminds me of a budget airline charging you for checking in at the airport ($3 in addition to the shopping costs for a label is madness; it costs them almost nothing to just print the label in store), this store has better customer service than the other ups store close to me.
