My package I ordered online, I paid the additional cost for UPS to require a signature on dropoff.... The company I ordered threw did everything correct; ups didn't. The guy came up, rang the doorbell, and was driving away by the time we got to the door.... NO SIGNATURE! I just paid those idiots for nothing!! -- my tracking number shows step by step where it came from, it was loaded onto the truck this morning (5:56am) from the ups in oakley on main street. Horrible experience all the way around. My package was a week late no one knew where it was , and it took several calls to the 1 800 number and to the UPS Store to figure out where my package was. All I got was excuses , and couldn't get my refund for late delivery until package was delivered. UPS Store had to submit for my refund didn't do it until Tuesday when package was delivered Thursday and I think they only did it because I called on Tuesday to see status.... As I was told several times this is a franchise, independently owned so there really is no accountability , just finger pointing its ups is fault its the franchise is fault they can't do anything for me and it was a simple package on a second day overnight that took a week. I usually have nothing but love for UPS because they deliver so much faster than the USPS but I have been fed up with this place. For some reason my package was sent to this location instead of my local one and I live two towns over. My tracking code keeps showing that they send out my package for delivery in the morning but the driver seems to forget to actually deliver the package and do their job. On my package updates it shows that it has been sitting there for two days now waiting for them to deliver it. I can tell on my updates when the package leaves the facility and the driver brings it back by the end of the day and signs it back in to the store. For a business to take the item and bring it back by the day it is unacceptable. I was supposed to have my item 6 days ago. If you want a extremely slow service go here. I am not sure if this is the store but I called the UPS store because my packages didn't arrive yet. I have a flight to catch and I was able to track the drive with the help of the costumer service rep. Using a valid ID I was able to get my package and now on my way to the airport. The person who usually does the route comes around 10am but because of holiday season everyone is running late. End result won't miss my flight and I have all my things with me. read more

Went online and website says they upon at 8am - got to the store at 8:10am, door was locked even tho their sign says they open at 8am there was a young man ( employee ) in there, I knocked on the door to see if they perhaps were opening late and was not acknowledged. I continued to wait - if it wasn't for work and wasn't legal I would have left. About 10 minutes later ( 8:20am ) he came and unlocked the door - there were now 3 of us waiting to get inside. I asked him why they opened late and was told he couldn't get into the safe. I did express that it would have been nice if he would have acknowledged me, he told me he did, that he put his hand up and that he said just a minute ( unfortunately my supersonic heating aid is at home so I clearly can't hear from 20 feet away and thru a door). Along with the attitude I received there was clear indifference. Being a homeowner in Oakley I try as often as I can to patronize local businesses and with the amount of competition and various other options for consumers, businesses need to go above and beyond with customer service, clearly not the case here. All this employee had to do when he opened the door would have been to apologize for opening late and have a positive attitude - neither of which he possessed. read more

Try FEDEX or the Post Office if you want your package delivered on-time. Paid for Next day air.....only to have it arrive4 days later.....due to high volume. WHAAAT? You're a delivery service and should be able to handle high volume. So, They are collecting the high rates for next day air, but can't make the delivery happen. Never again. read more

Just for UPS in general, i dealt with drivers out of the 5300 live oak ave. in oakley ca. I ordered packages to be shipped, got express shipping, put in extra effort to get it as soon as possible for a gift, I ordered 3 pieces, i got one tracking number. it ended up they made it into 3 seperate tracking numbers, and the driver when coming out never actually even knocked on my door or rang my bell, i checked my camera, he just wrote out a note to pick it up and taped it to my door and left. After this, the packages had to be picked up at the local office, they had one of the three, i called several places to track down the other 2, they said it just got missed and not delivered to the store. I then waited for the third day, 1 more package arrived, i just called in, and the last package was not even loaded onto the truck, they said if i want it today, which i need it by today the very latest, i would have to drive 30 minutes to the distribution facility to pick it up, otherwise i would have to wait til monday because it has taken all the way to the weekend. If they cant handle delivering mail, dont do it, that is the one task that this company is based on, and they cant handle that right. Normally when a place realizes they messed up they at least try to apologize at the least. I was given no apology, just a bunch of angry sounding employees that didnt want to deal with some work finding out where my stuff actually was. read more

Never again. Failed to deliver package on time. Claims train derailment in Colorado delayed delivery, but no one at UPS can tell me where the package is, or when it will be delivered. Moreover, package was in Utah, so they could have found alternate means of timely delivery. Nor did they notify me there was a problem so I could take steps around it. UPS Store claims they are not associated with UPS and cannot help with anything. UPS customer service actually told me "no one knows when packages will get delivered". And frankly, they did not seem to care at all. Their business is delivering packages, yet they can't track packages, tell you where they are or when they will be delivered. No wonder US government sued them for fraud and they paid $25 M to settle. Seems the healthy rates they charge for not delivering things is to make up for the refunds and settlements. OH - their "disclaimer" form is in the smallest print on the smallest piece of paper possible. When I asked for larger print, the guy said it was just a disclaimer, but wouldn't tell me for what. Do not use this store!!!! It Sucks. I went in to have a bunch of pictures scanned and put in a file so I could post to fb. I was told that it would be $1.00 per page(yikes) but I did . The girl working there asked me if I would like some help and I said yes. The girl working there was very helpful except that when I got home, I found the files to be in a PDF file which I could not post on fb. I went in to the store the next day and talked to the manager and she said that there was nothing she could do except if I could bring them back and she could re-do them. I told her that I would like a refund because I had just gotten back from the FED-EX kinkos store and had it done in a jpeg format on a DVD that they provided for under $6.00. The UPS sore charged me $17.00 for a file that was useless to me. I filed a complaint with UPS Store Corporate 1- (800) 789-4623 and was told That I would hear back. The next day I got a call from the store owner and was told in essence to kick rocks. In my opinion anyone who does anything more than drop a piece of mail off at this place is just asking to be kicked in the bollocks!! Take your Business across the street to the FED- EX kinkos. The staff are very friendly and very affordable. I can not believe that this owner squabbed over a request of a $17.00 refund. If I could give this UPS store a Zero, I would. One of the staff members was uncaring and indifferent to the needs of her customer -me. I was frantically looking for the UPS tracking number, so I could retrieve my package (they wouldn't look for my package without a tracking number). I asked this individual if the "Info Notice" the UPS driver had left at my mother's house would help me find the tracking number and she replied "No.". I looked at this "Info Notice," and it had a reference number, which I used to track my package to find the tracking number this individual wanted. When I told her that I had just found the tracking number using the "Info Notice," she replied: "I don't know, and it's not my responsibility to know," and walked away. Wow! No wonder why this place has such bad reviews. This business needs us consumers, we, consumers, don't. There are way too many places to chose from, and I will gladly take my business some place else. I don't need to deal with employees that are clearly miserable at their jobs. I will never go back. One more thing, I described what happened to me at this UPS store to a friend. She told me she had a similar experience there, and described a rude employee at this same UPS Oakley location; she described this employee to a T -obviously, this employee could care less for the service she provides. this office is hilarious - bad communication between the shifts - if u lose a package -no one cares or even knows about it. i've been trying to retrieve a package that they dropped off at the wrong house and still got no updates until i called the main office and they were forced to call me back. their mistakes they don't seem to take responsibility for or even care they made. rude employees that are clueless to what's even going on and what their job is. when u order online unfortunately u don't get to pick which company the merchandise is shipped through -but i would definitely choose FEDEX - UPS is ridiculous. they don't even understand basic procedures. good luck if u lose a package especially through this facility. not even one star. should b shut down as no one seems to b doing anything all day there anyway. pathetic. read more
