This store, their owners and their staff DEFINE customer service and caring. ALL surpass expectations regularly. NONE have ever once used COVID as an excuse for bad service like the airlines, hotels and so many other businesses do each and every day. I stop in often to check my box even when I know it's empty just so I can say hi. Location, restaurant row and Bay Hill CC most certainly make Dr Phillips a great place to live and visit but its the individual businesses and people like you find at the UPS Store that really makes it special. I arrived at UPS today to make a couple of laminated copies of a work poster I brought in. Unfortunately, the poster was just too large. The gentleman Victor and his staff were very helpful. Instead of them turning me away, they helped me copy, cut glue, resize, slightly recreate and laminate the poster. It was a total project, but I left very pleased and happy with their customer service and the final outcome. Victor was very helpful and executed exactly what I needed. I left very happy and thankful that I didn't have to return to pick it up at a later date and that they were able to accommodate me today. They definitely get it done there!:) read more

Me and my family have used this location for a very long time. However this time was the most unprofessional, disrespectful and insulting service I have ever had. I sent a package that cost me around 75 bucks. I never heard back and had to call to figure out why it never arrived. Come to find out it was returned (it was mailed to Maryland). Finally they let me know they couldn't drop it off or resend it. The first gentleman on the phone confirmed that it was in fact the correct address. I asked if they could send it again! ***** They said no I had to pay 75 dollars. He puts me on hold for 10 minutes and I'm guessing the manager is who came back on. He says it's against their policy or something to refund and wouldn't resend it unless I paid again. He then tells me a different address (right after the first guy said the correct address) which was the same street but different numbers. Just think about how that would make you feel. Just utterly offended and in disbelief. Continues to tell me it was my fault even though they just confirmed the correct address but to cover their ass the second guy said a different addresses... and says I signed for that address... Again even though the first guy just said the correct address. Stuff isn't adding up and you can already guess I'm getting frustrated. I wait a week to see if they will resend it while they request it from ups. They said no. I have to pay again or pick it up. I haven't been working due to COVID and cannot afford this. Never go here. I can't believe they wouldn't even offer some discount. At least work with me. I am so livid. Can't believe this happened. You guys are terrible and rude and just... the worst customer service imaginable. Thanks for stealing. read more

The UPS Store (#2217) has been in Dr. Phillips since I first moved here a decade ago. There are not a lot of businesses on Sand Lake Road that can claim that. I have been a fairly regular customer since 2000 and I have always been happy with the service that I have received. The UPS Store offers shipping services and private mailboxes for business and individuals. Service is always pleasant and the location is quite convenient for anyone in the Dr. Phillips area. The UPS Store does not get 5 stars because (i) it is a shipping center, which does not really lend itself to the awesome experience that a 5 star experience should be, and (ii) the plaza in which it is located is a bit desolate due to stores closing, so there are few other reasons to go into that particular shopping plaza these days. read more

This location of the UPS Store is busy, but they get the job done. This location offers PO Boxes for those that need this service. About two years ago I needed to ship two Play Stations as gifts. The staff came up with the perfect packaging and both arrived at their destinations in perfect condition. I was a bit blown away when it came to shipping an electric guitar to my son in Hawaii. The lowest rate was going to be $420 and that was not including the price to package it. Needless to say, the guitar still lives with me. The cost of sending it was more than the guitar itself. My company uniform provider uses UPS for all its shipping, so I make many visits when I need to return a piece. The shop is always clean and seems in order, and the staff is quick to help and greet customers. That said, I would give them closer to 4 stars, but overall, it's a 3. I have been a regular customer here since I moved to Orlando nearly 10 years ago. The staff always goes out of their way to help and have made me feel more like "family" and less like a "customer." Many of the staff have been working in this location for many years, which tells me a lot about the management of this location. If your staff love working there, they will stay! My postal box is reasonably priced, and we have used this location for other services besides shipping and it has always been a wonderful experience. Highly recommended! read more

I have always been a customer at the downtown UPS store on Central. We recently moved to Dr Phillips and I decided to switch my mailbox over. Bad move. Here are the reasons I switched back to the UPS store downtown: For starters, the address has a suite number that many online systems will not accept (the owners will argue this till your blue in the face), its suite and box number, like 50-324, so basically many online systems won't accept it. And if something is delivered to suite 50 and they forget to include your box number the genius's there will return to sender. The UPS store downtown Orlando has always realized who I was and put the mail in my box, never had a problem in years... The staff at the Dr. Phillips store is very unfriendly, it's like it's some family run business and the whole family works there. Very crabby group. A/C is usually off so its typically warm inside. Maybe that's why they are in bad moods? My mailbox was up for renewal and they told me if I did not renew by the renewal date that they would no longer accept mail. I happened to be out of town on that date on a cruise ship so it was a bit hard to renew. Guess what they do with your mail if you don't renew? They send it back or refuse it! The UPS store downtown will keep your mailbox open for 45 days typically without giving you a hassle. The drive downtown from Dr. Phillips stinks but service has to be pretty bad for me to make that drive to get my mail. But that's just how bad it is. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

Well it is 2016 and I have had my UPS mail box at this location for three years. The staff at Dr Phillips has not changed much in the last three years. So it's wonderful that they know my face when I walk through the door. I'm always greeted with smiles and a friendly hello. This group of happy employees work well together as a solid team. All of which goes to show the owners provide a great work environment. The store is always well staffed, well lit, neat, clean and temperature comfortable. I read in another review which was dated 2012 that the air conditioner is never on. That is so funny. There is AC in the summer and heat in the winter. I would know I go to the store on a daily basis. Another older review stated the strip center was desolate. Again it's 2016 and this location is in a perfect hotspot. Next-door to a brand-new Publix grocery store and brand-new Publix liquor store. There are also wonderful restaurants In this shopping center as well. The only downside to being in a hotspot is sometimes it can be a challenge to find a parking spot. I couldn't be happier with my UPS "office" and "staff"!!! read more

I have only good things to say about this store. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. I come here almost every day to drop off packages, and everyone is always helpful. Sometimes, if I call them, they even stay a few minutes past closing time just so I can drop my stuff off... how nice! The store location is very convenient, right at the end of the Dr. Phillips Marketplace. I run a lot of errands in the area, so swinging by here is always easy. My only complaint, which probably has nothing to do with the store, is the barricade in front of the store that requires you to walk around it in order to get to the front door. Perhaps this sounds like a lazy person's problem, but if you have heavy boxes, it's quite a hassle. No matter, the staff always offers a cart if you are unloading. I am happy with the UPS store service, location, prices, etc. Everyone there is great. read more

Firstly, I was confused by overall low ratings for this location and then I looked more in depth and saw that some of these reviews (there aren't many) go back now 7 years. I'm sure that ownership and employees have changed over the course of time, but I can say that in the last week and a half to two weeks, I have had only outstanding customer service at this location. I'm greeted with a smile, and both times I did not have to wait in line hardly long at all to be serviced. Also, the second time I went, I had just been at a nearby FedEx location with HORRIBLE customer service (by the manager, no less--it stated her title on her name tag) and the UPS employee allowed me to vent and actually sympathized with my situation. Here's what happened: my friend in VA had sent me a box of stuff from her local FedEx office, but the items were packaged in a USPS Priority Mail Shipping Box. Thinking that since she sent it from a FedEx Office location in that container, I could easily put the items I was shipping to her (for her birthday) in the same box and use FedEx office to ship said gifts in the same box. Oh, nay-nay! The manager was huffy and said that the FedEx Office in VA should have charged her a fine and that it was ILLEGAL for her to have sent it to me in that box, especially since the remnants of the FedEx label were still on the box when I packed it with her items. [I'm thinking if it was truly illegal for them to have shipped it, then the office there should have insisted on repackaging it.] Anyway, I'm explaining this and more to the employee at UPS and he said that it was no problem and even gave me a small discount after he found out that I was affected by the then very long government shutdown/furlough. Even though this particular UPS Store location is not close to where I live, I will definitely go out of my way to use their services to ship any and all future packages!! read more

I'm currently staying with a relative near this location. Today I stopped by to print a shipping label and to drop off a package for an amazon return because I didn't have a printer with. They guy (who was not that friendly) charged me a total of $5 to print one black and white page of shipping label, which literally took him 20 sec to do on the computer. I was baffled by the price but by that point I had walked 30 min in the hot sun to get to that location so I had to go with it. No $5 isn't a big deal but it was just too absurd. I do not recommend this location for printing of small jobs!! read more

This is one of the best The UPS Stores in town. The staff is great and really knows what they are doing. They make shipping easy and are very good at handling claims when needed. I haven't used then for printing but I've seen items they have worked on and they are top notch. read more

The employee with a Hispanic accent ( since he does wear an identification badge, I do not know his name) has been VERY RUDE every time I have been at this location. The first 2 times, I thought that he was just having a bad day; however, his horrible attitude has continued over the months. He always has that look on his face as if he is giving costumers a big favor. Well let explain you, "Rock Star", people who pay for your little salary are the costumers ( INCLUDING myself) and part of your job is provide decent costumer services to ALL of us. Today I went to send a certified letter (for which I paid 3 times more than at USPS), and had the misfortune that this employee was the only one available, so I needed to put on his horrible attitude ( again) from not even saying "hi", to disappearing in the middle of the transaction and then ignoring me when I was ready to pay for my purchase .So after waiting for him a few minutes and realizing that "Mr Celebrity" did not care about my time, I asked another employee and finally he turned and approached me with his annoyed face. Then when I asked him " how long it will take for my certified letter to arrive here in Orlando" , he got so bothered by my question and without looking at me said " I do not know"... trying to have an estimated time I said: " 1 day, 1 week, 1 month.."? and he said " I do not know maybe 3 days". ( 3 days for a certified letter sent locally, OKAY genious...). It is hard to believe that an international company like UPS does not provide its employees the basic trainings to be able to answer the costumers a simple question like this. At this point, I did not want to engage his horrible attitude and just left. I am not sure what his issues are; nonetheless, whatever it is he should not treat people who pay for his salary like that. Wrong, very wrong...If you are unhappy with your job then go to college and get a better education; pretty simply. That is what you do when you want to have a better job. If he was my employee, I had fired him a long time ago. Today I had decided that I will never come back to this UPS location again even when it is very convenient since it is only 3 minutes from my house. However, it is good to know that I will not have to put on the disrespect of this individual anymore. I am paying UPS a good amount of money in exchange of good services and definitely I am not receiving it . No, I would not recommend this location where this employee work to anybody. read more

This UPS store charged me $4.88 to print one color page from the Internet. This process literally took me 30 seconds to complete. The UPS store in Lee vista charged me $.30. I explained what I needed and assumed it would be similar in cost to the other stores. The representative do not explain the cost before hand. Next time I will ask first. read more

I took a package into the UPS Store to be shipped to England by US MAIL. I was charged $48.30. Upon reflection I felt it was too much to spend - the items were not worth that much - so I asked for and received a refund. Still thinking the charge was too high I went immediately to the Post Office where the same package to the same address was $24.15. Exactly half! I went back to the UPS Store and informed the staff. He replied that the prices were set by the home company. I phoned the Customer Service number for UPS Stores and was told the franchisees set their own rates. No matter what double -talk I received the fact remains that I was charged DOUBLE the mailing rate. A little mark up is to be understood - but 100% !!!!! Beware! When shipping either internationally or domestically, you pay A WHOLE LOT MORE by not going to the Post Office or the real UPS people. read more

4-14-2014 I entered the store with 5 $200 fishing rods and a bass pro shopping bag with 5 reels and some lures which was about $3200 all total. I needed it mailed to my home in Asheville NC within 7 days and they quoted me $446.00 I kid you not. There were two guys one tall perhaps the lead guy as he took over the conversation at the scales. He started taking my lures one at a time out of the bag and laying them on the scales rather than set the bag on it....? Perhaps he was a fisherman but I became suspicious at him for examining each piece and recommended he place the whole bag on there. Now here's the kicker, I grabbed my stuff went to the hotel Fed ex and the 5 poles wrapped in foam and cardboard with $1000 in insurance sent 2 DAY express was $25. The box of reels 2 DAY express was under $30 with $2000 insurance. As I walked out the door I told the ups store "guy" That his price was way too high and if it was half of that I'd still be surprised. That's when he offered to mail it for $186 an amount that came out of his head but he couldn't guarantee it by Tuesday. Now this looks to me like they might be throwing a price out there to see if a tourist takes it. I am a businessman and deal with ups all the time. And, my family and I have been doing business with this superlative crew for over 25 years !! Nita and Victor ( owners ) and their extremely well trained crew handle absolutely EVERYTHING imaginable, and have done so for us while making us feel like family ! They have done shipping, receiving, notary, copies, postage, passport photos just to name a few of their many services, plus we have ALWAYS had a PO box with them for the safety and security of all of our documents, bills, notices, etc. They can make ANYTHING happen and they do so with ease, convenience, and affordability !
