Hers the way it went... I had a return from a 3rd party through Amazon which I took to a ups store in la Quinta where they informed me I was responsible for return postage. ($16 and change).This didn't seem right to me so I waited and contacted amazon, waited the 48 hrs, no contact. So I went to ship it from the Towne Center ups store where they said it was going to be $36! Needless to say I left and shipped it from the original store for $16 What a ripoff read more

Love it they open at 8 AM Monday through Fridays. It's the best time to go as there is nobody else there and they use it as a catch-up from their busy day prior. read more

I worked with David and was thoroughly dissatisfied. First of all this store is completely understaffed. There was a second person working who was in the back the whole time working on something else while there was a line all the way out the door. I would think they could figure out some sort of team spirit and make this run more efficiently. David was rude to more than one customer that I witnessed before it was my turn. Very curt and abrupt. Not friendly in the least. And then it came my turn and he wouldn't even let me witness him packaging the gifts that I am sending to someone. He told me they would be put in a bag and handled later. I said I would prefer to wait and see that my package was properly packed since it involves several pieces of clothing. He said it would take hours to get to it and that I was welcome to get a refund and go elsewhere. Wow...Great customer service! In the future, I would go elsewhere. This was a horrible experience and did not make me feel secure that what I'm sending Will be packaged properly or sent on time today. Just a very bad experience and I left there feeling awful. Such a shame that people don't have integrity anymore in their work attitude or customer service skills. The only reason I am taking the time to write this is because I hope somebody in management at this location cares to make things better. It would've been easier to just go to the post office so I hope they listen to how their customers feel. read more

This is our go-to place for logistics, staff is always friendly and helpful. Sure, there are some weird rules with Amazon drop-off stuff, but that's on Amazon, not the folks at the store. Just know to always box up your stuff for Amazon Returns, then you'll not have issues - or support them and buy a box! read more

This UPS store was so very helpful and Linda was so awesome to work with. She worked with us to Insure that out many packages got sent to their destinations. I would highly recommend using them for your shipping needs if you are in the area. read more

Bad customer service. Bad attitude. Called at 4:15pm today to confirm that notary public was available. Told she was there until 5:30pm. Arrived twenty minutes later. Then told by the person who answered the call that notary just left for lunch. Unacceptable info, nonsensical, and a waste of time. read more

i went to pick up a package & they said the email i have to pick up my package was a scam, and they did not have it. 20 minutes to find this out. i'll call the company that I ordered it from. They said no it's at the UPS store so I went back and waited in line again and got somebody else and my package was brought out. Took few amazon returns to this location. First time being helped by Raquel . She was extremely rude saying she wouldn't take it because it's not the QR code . Fine ! Point taken ! Owner needs to train their employees on how to say things without an attitude. This girl definitely did not get training , it shows in previous reviews as well. I live right next to the store but unfortunately I will have to drive to another location to prevent getting treated so poorly by this employee. Btw 2 of my items out of 5 had QR code's but she had so much attitude she didn't even bother looking . Need to hire nicer people who like what they do . read more

This place is the worst. Avoid if you can. We lived near the one in Cathedral City/PS border off Hwy 111 for years, which has outstanding service, plenty of staff, helpful and nice people on duty and a manager always present. This one--just NO. It looks like a mess, the people are rude and actually seem to enjoy NOT helping you. Today the "system was down" and they could not ship any packages. WHAT? Yesterday, they closed at 5pm even though they have closed at 6pm for months. Staff seems unsupervised, untrained, unwilling, and put out. No manager in sight and staff trying to hide in the back. Every time I step foot in here I say I am going to the Cathedral City one near Trader Joe's next time. This time I mean it! Needs new management and staff clearly. read more

I just want to say how grateful I am for Jose at UPS. My beloved caregiver had gone to FedEx to deliver my Christmas cards, per my request, and for some reason FedEx could not take them. I called UPS and Jose answered (and completely has the Christmas spirit) and gave really good customer service. UPS closed at 5 PM, and he said that he wouldn't leave until 5:30 PM until he received my Christmas cards so that they could be delivered. DO NOT GO HERE. The man helping me was incompetent. After correcting him on my address three times, he still got it wrong. Then, I gave him the shipping address, which I had to correct twice. He told me the package would be delivered within 5 days, and now, two weeks later, it still hasn't been received. I have no doubt this is the fault of the location, not the postal service itself. So rude it isn't even funny. Not my normal store. I was in Palm Desert on vacation and dropped of a USPS package (out of convenience) on a Friday before 3PM. It is now Monday at 5PM and the package still hasn't scanned. Called the store to ask if they could look around and make sure it shipped. Very poor customer service. Two women behind the counter were rude and impatient. One behind the counter gave no greeting but stared at her computer without saying a word for 3 or 4 minutes. When I finally asked if there was a problem, she abruptly and rudely said she was waiting to get in to her computer. I have held a box at UPS Store locations in Colorado, Utah, and Nevada for almost 20 years with great experiences in each location. I signed up for a box 2 months ago at this location and it is appallingly bad. In trying to get my box setup quickly to prepare for my move to Palm Desert they took a MONTH. I begged Linda to please help me get it done quickly because I needed to use the business address ASAP. But nope. She was so completely unwilling to help. Rude and uncooperative every step of the way. First my email request was overlooked for a week. There was no apology or acknowledgement that they dropped the ball. Then there were claims that they were too busy to scan in the document they needed to email me. It turned out to be a standard government form that is available online. Just send the link! There's no need to scan the hard copy. At one point they charged my credit card but wouldn't give me my box number saying they needed more than my driver license and passport. Fine, but call me if you don't have what you need. Don't make me contact you to see what the hold up is. Again. And definitely don't charge my card and take my money if you don't have what you need. Then, oddly, they changed their tune on that request for another document and gave me my box number. Most recently, they shut down because of water damage and took several days to let their customers know how to get their packages. Is it that hard to put a sign on the door letting people know what is going on? I stopped by 4 times, left 2 messages, finally drove to the La Quinta store to ask if they had any info, which was a 30 minute round trip. At that point I was finally told they'd be open from 10 AM to 3 PM the next day for box holders. Just put a sign on the door! Linda snipped at me "we are emailing our customers individually." But you can also put a sign on the door, can't you? Meanwhile I still haven't receive that email she claims is being sent out. I have never experienced such incompetence in my life. I had hopes that the setup process was an exception but clearly it's the rule. Now I'm honestly afraid that my mail is going to start going missing after they see this review. I will be signing up for a box with another provider this week. read more

10/24/2017 12:30 Went in to mail out a return to Amazon but surprisingly the Caucasian lady helping me help me with in an unrelated matter at another UPS Store, this matter was a return to T-Mobile that they said they never received and I did not think I could find the tracking information on as I had destroyed the receipt however she told me how I could recover this tracking number and now I am in the process of getting my charges reversed at T-Mobile thanks to her and I will use this store now as my primary UPS drop off point instead of the LaQuinta location! read more

I mailed my Federal Taxes and asked for USPS service going to Glendale, CA. The young man let me know that UPS service would be " guaranteed a day earlier" at basically the same price. Well, okay then. Let's go with that. Four days later, I decide to check tracking to confirm my accountant received my info. It has been sorted incorrectly and went to TX. As of late, I've had multiple issues with UPS misdirecting and my packages doing a tour of the U.S. If it is a large amount of money, say, over $50... I will ask for a refund. If it's a smaller amount, I usually just deal with it. However, I was pretty upset about this one so I called the store looking for a refund. To keep my 45 minute ordeal short for the sake of maintaining what's left of my sanity.... I was basically given a MAJOR runaround by Linda and Sammy. I was told repeatedly that UPS Commercial Ground is NOT refundable even though 2 reps from UPS call center stated otherwise...not to mention UPS website clearly shows " Guaranteed" Sammy also, stated to me, " Maybe next time I should pay more for the 'guaranteed' service." Anywaaaay, for future reference... if you ship from a UPS Store, it is at the store's discretion whether or not you get a refund. With that being said, I'll print out my own labels from now on. Quick and Painless I am not sure where all the bad reviews are coming from. Though being in business myself, I know sometimes you can't make everyone happy no matter what you do. I can tell you I went here to get a notary and fingerprints done and I didn't have to make an appointment. The staff was nice and got me in and out quickly. I did try calling around for both the fingerprints and notary and every place else you have to make an appointment. I would definitely recommend. read more

I had the worst experience at this location. I only went there because my mother raves about how helpful her Cathedral City location is. When I walked in, the men were not friendly,approachable or helpful. I wrote the address down, they transposed the zip code, and my mail never got to its intended location. I called twice and tried to talk to the manager and they never called me back. The person who answered the phone could not tell me where mail was , or when it would be coming back. He was equally as unhelpful and unfriendly as when I was in the store. Paid $25 or $35 to have package returned to sender. Package was out for delivery today and now all the sudden there's an exception on it. Went to ups store told them I needed it delivered to my address and later receive a call back that they're taking back to the original addressee.
