THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE FRANCHISE OWNER NEVINE AND ABOUT HER ONLY. My experience with the other employees here has been great and they have been very kind to me. Never in my life did I think I would ever write a review for a UPS store, but after my experience at this specific location it compelled me to write one. Mind you I rarely write bad reviews and I have a lot of patience, but the owner (Nevine) of this location was extremely rude to me when I was trying to speak to her about picking up a package. I missed my original delivery date for my package because it needed a signature and they proceeded to send my package for pick up at this location. I went to pick it up today, but my issue is my ID doesn't match the address and name on my package because of multiple different reasons. I had proof of the purchase, proof of the actual email from UPS with tracking, and multiple credit cards that showed the matching name - she still refused to hand my package over to me which I understand policies, but she wasn't offering me any solution to fix this issue except to call UPS or else she was going to ship the package back to the sender. While trying to explain to her my situation I was getting frustrated because her tone was very condescending, she kept raising her voice at me, and she kept cutting me off while she was repeating the same thing constantly. She also was telling me to have it shipped to my house - which I originally did, but unfortunately missed it - and then when I asked her if I would be able to pay for her to have it redelivered she said no. How is that not possible, but you're telling me to ship it to my house? I understand her trying to protect the package due to fraud nowadays, but on the official UPS page it states that if your last name and address don't match on your ID, you can show the UPS tracking alongside your identification regardless if it matches or not and you should be able to retrieve your package. This is from the OFFICIAL UPS WEBSITE and she continued to say "this is what they're telling me to do" and kept refusing to give me my package. Mind you these instructions that I found to follow are also on a link on the email from my tracking from UPS. She didn't even bother reading what I was showing her and continued to just keep raising her voice at me. She kept repeating herself that I need to show matching identification because there is "so much fraud nowadays" and "anybody can have an email" when I was trying to show her my proof. Which made no sense to me because shortly after she had a family member come in to handle what looked like paperwork to be shipped out and her family member who is not an employee was behind the counter. So you're telling me there's a lot of fraud nowadays, but it's okay for you to have someone who isn't an employee behind the counter? Make it make sense. On top of that - I know she was talking bad about me to her family member because when I left to try to contact UPS on the phone she said something to her family member when I walked away, and when I walked back in to speak to her again she said something again and then continued to give me a fake smile afterwards while saying something under her breath. Completely uncalled for and unprofessional. As much as she was clearly frustrated - so was I. Moving forward I'm going to call corporate as well to file a complaint because her customer service was ridiculous and I will avoid this UPS location by all means. I ended up resolving my issue with customer service, and completely understand the issue with my ID not matching, but my issue here was how she spoke to me and handled the situation in such a degrading way. Also, if you look at other bad reviews basically stating the same issues I had with her being rude and condescending - you can see the owner herself, Nevine, has replied back to multiple reviews still arguing. Says a lot about her character and it's unfortunate she's the owner of this franchise. read more

This UPS probably is one of the most busiest UPS I have been to. The line is out the door, and there is 3 staff behind desk but I'm not sure why they cannot triage or have a line just for returns when majority of these people in line are Amazon return but the one off shipping customer holds up the line. There is also a lot of their return packages just hanging out outside without someone watching. And given how busy they are, the packages can be easily stolen or lost. I'll not recommend anyone to come to this location nor would I come back. This is also a super busy shared parking lot. read more

Asked a specific question on if my friend's address was in my account already only to get an exorbitant amount of known unsolicited advice and insecurity of trying to explain she wasn't culpable if it wasn't there (which I reassured her multiple times my objective question wasn't a reflection nor related in anyway to her past performance. Like girl this is the first time I met you. Why would I assume it has anything related to do with you?). I gave many social cues both intuitively and directly verbally what my inquiry was focused on only to get it explained back to me with things I didn't have any interest in. I communicated with her when my inquiry was resolved and she still continued to shove more extraneous advice to me while expecting me to express appreciation like she was fishing for if. Felt like I was being shoved into needing to praise the indian woman otherwise she wouldn't let off infodumping, dominating the conversation, or trying to correct my own words for my own question because she was forcing a dynamic where she wanted to feel like she was servicing me by shoving a spoon in my mouth and I needed to just chew even if it's not what I asked to eat. This place does not regard customer questions as a normal part of the store experience and instead shames the customer into needing to have no voice. Do better. Lady does not seem to understand a human being isn't ignorant to how technology works and able to ask a question on just one part of it without needing an entire essay on the entire workflow of UPS admistrative system. Seems to associate her entire self worth into this job or something and incapable of holding respectable conversation space since she's more fixated on shoving unhelpful information than actually servicing my inquiry. Either that or she's discriminating me by adamantly associating my perfectly positive to neutral identity traits as dissatisfaction / judgement. read more

I came into this UPS store to return a baby playpen through Amazon. Two of the items had expanded and no longer fit properly in the original box. Which I calmly explained to the man at the counter. Instead of calmly explaining this or offering a solution, Steve quickly denied the return with more of a "can't take it, not my problem" attitude. Only after some back and forth did he mention I'd need to purchase a larger box. I had no issue with buying a new box. What I did have an issue with was the dismissive and impatient way the situation was handled. A little courtesy and clear communication would've gone a long way. read more

First, they overbook their drivers, so the driver didn't deliver to the door as requested, but dropped it at the local store. Very inconvenient. Second, while I went into the UPS store, which couldn't FIND the second package (still in Sacramento?) my wife went into another store next door. When I got back to the car there was a snotty note threatening to tow the car because the half full lot is ONLY for the UPS store. They have control over the parking, and this is obnoxious. I needed to send some items for work but been having some issues with the department and understanding the current situation. When I visited this UPS Store the clerk explained everything I needed to know about my return. I was provided with more information that the person at the dept from my own job could tell me. With some details missing and me not spending any of my personal money for work. The clerk mentioned where I could find some boxes for free so I could send out the package. This store has charged me $29.95/month for the last 3 months .....Ive NEVER stepped foot in this store, or ordered anything from UPS online.! Ive left messages w staff there, left voice mails, and sent emails . Im not sure how they acquired my CCV info , but this is FRAUD , plain and simple! I have disputed the charges with my bank, so they wont see a dime. I'm not a "Karen" who enjoys escalating situations on social media , but consumers should be aware of this stores business practices. I'll start by saying that I've used this store for years with no issues. Primarily for UPS prepaid returns of things I've ordered online, but also the occasional shipping need. Today I phoned the store to inquire about a UPS prepaid return I brought in a couple of weeks prior, along with a couple of 'Happy Returns'. The day that I brought the three items, I was given receipts for the two Happy Returns, but not for the prepaid shipment. I didn't realize this until I looked at the receipts I was given upon returning home. Thinking, 'Oh well, it should be fine', I should've known better. The company whose boots I was returning still hasn't credited me back 2 weeks later, so I set out to see if there was a way to track the scan that had been done the day of dropoff. So I phoned the store, and the owner answered (I know this because during our argument, she said she'd owned the store for 27 years). I politely explained my situation and asked if there was a way to look into their system by date and time and see if prepaid return was scanned. Immediately she pushed back very curtly with poor customer service and said something to the effect of "I can't tell you that... I'll have to pull a report later and that will take a lot of time". I said, "Surely you can check based on the date/time of the Happy Returns". She continued push back saying that she scanned "thousands" of packages in a day, and sounded overwhelmed just by me asking her to do some basic checking. I tried to be patient, but her tone and attitude was objectively RUDE from the start. She seemed like it was an inconvenience to help me, chronically talking loudly over me, while on a crappy sounding phone that made it hard to understand her. Things escalated quickly and I lost my temper. I'm not proud of that, but I reminded her that I've been a regular customer for 4+ years and had no issues previously, trying to remind her that she's in the customer service business. When I called her out for being rude and having attitude with me from the get-go, she doubled down on her attitude, all the while claiming that she DIDN'T have an attitude. Not a good technique for deescalation! I gave her some choice words to the effect that I would never set foot in her business again and advised her that she should consider an alternative business if she can't hack basic customer service etiquette. Despite whatever she was going through that day, her attitude and complete lack of concern for a customer inquiry made me furious enough to write this review. Don't give this place your business until they decide to wise-up and treat their customers with more respect!! read more

The owner is amazing. The staff are like angels running around blessing everybody. They remember your name or your mailbox. They always smile and do the best they can to help you. They go above and beyond. I've never seen customer service like this. read more

I actually think this place is a very good version of the UPS store. Their staff has always been friendly when I'm there, even if there is a wait. The store is small but in an easy location to access and well laid out inside. There is free parking in the lot and the drop offs are easy. Avoid rush hour times though. read more

I come here to return my Amazon purchases and I also pick up my items from here as well because UPS carriers can't somehow get into my apartment building even with special instructions. I made a clothing purchase and paid for expedited shipping via UPS. The UPS app sends me tracking info and redirects package to 556 S Fair Oaks per my instructions. I receive a notice that package is ready for p/u. I go to p/u and it's returned to sender the same day it's delivered because UPS store is closed. Why do UPS drivers deliver to closed UPS stores? Is return to sender the only option after I paid extra for expedited delivery. WTF read more

Poor customer service. They sent my to the wrong location and instead of just helping me resolve the issue, Nevine argues with me about it not being their fault. I also heard her refer to one of her co-workers as "retarded" when I originally shipped the package. There was another person there who was trying to be helpful but he was so scared of Nevine that he kept backing down and never ended up giving me the number to file a claim. After going back and forth with Nevine for a while, I left and called UPS customer service and they resolved the issue for me in 5 min. It could have all been so simple... read more

TNevine Ayed went over and above to package a framed print securely so that I could take in on the plane. She cut down a box, wrapped the picture, and padded it well. She was polite, friendly, and efficient. During our visit, we watched other staff interacting in a friendly, caring manner with with customers. This is the best ups store and not only because its walking distance from my job but also because evetime I visit the employees are super friendly, helpful and fast. Came her today to make a return and Nate was my helper. However amazon changes their returns every time. I usually bring in my item with the code on my phone without a box and they accept it. However this time i was supposed to package my own slip. But i left my wallet and tried to apple pay and it didn't go through. Thanks to Nate I was able to return the item without having to come back on a different day. You rock and thanks so much for being patient and kind. read more

I had this location ship an envelope with sensitive personal information, including social security numbers, birth dates, etc. UPS lost the package. When I contacted the store, the manager, Nevine, was condescending and unhelpful. She said the store would do nothing and suggested that I sue UPS. I will not be returning to this location and will do my best to avoid using UPS in the future. Their customer service was abysmal. read more

Extremely rude service. There's one employee in particular, a white male with curly brown hair. He can do an entire transaction without speaking one word to you. It's a skill, I guess. No hello, no welcome to UPS, no thank you and no have a nice day. Literally not one word. Well...he did tell the white customer in front of me to have a nic, so there's that. During my transaction, he would not verbally acknowledge me in any way while speaking to his coworker (a SE Asian woman) the entire time. ***UPDATE***: The white male to which I refer to is NOT an auditor as the store owner claims but a regular employee. I've encountered this employee several times over the last YEAR. Because everyone has a bad day, I give everyone a chance or two. This employee's rude behavior (that the Owner refuses to take responsibility for) has been consistently rude and unprofessional. It's a shame the owner prefers to deny the status of his employee rather than address the issue at hand. I will patronize UPS stores where I 'feel more comfortable' from now on. read more

This is the store that serves as our drop off. The staff is so helpful and laid back. I just drop off and go. They take care of all the label work. read more

The location is mixed in that it's relatively close to the general Pasadena population and on a major street but street parking can be a challenge and the parking in the back is not as known and a little hard to access from the side streets via the alley. I've used this facility a couple of times as a UPS access point (similar to an Amazon locker). I'm sad to report that their manager, Nevine, would not accept my U.S Government issued ID (a federal ID) because she didn't like that my address wasn't on it. I'm not sure what's funnier, that she couldn't grasp there are other government IDs outside of state issued drivers licenses or her madness that US passports and other federal IDs don't have addresses on them. Fortunately, with the help of UPS Customer Service on speakerphone they agreed to confirm my identity with my ID and order email receipt and released my package. One star for not losing my package and one star for being open but I will take porch pirates over sitting on the phone with UPS Customer Service in a hostage attempt to get my package any day of the week! read more
