Is it possible to give 10 out of five stars? I wish! I'm not sure why this place has low ratings, as I'm looking at the reviews, it's barely 3 out of five stars. But on my visit here at 4 PM, I was able to find an easy street parking at the front and it was BUSY!!! But despite having four people in front of me, I got to the counter well under five minutes. Almost everyone at the location were chill or smiling; great vibes! The person who helped me was David, and other people before me that got help by him just absolutely loved him and seemed really thankful and I totally understood why. This guy is the MVP of customer empathy and super practical and rational, he literally will restore your faith in operations and humanity. I will refuse to go to any other UPS store or even mail service from here on out. read more

I came in to ship a box for a refund. I didnt get a chance to write the address, but the staff member was kind enough to jot the information from my phone. He asked me for my phone number and they have my records from a previous UPS location ive shipped items out from. Thats cool! I also didnt have packaging tape, so I used painters tape. He also added extra tape on there so it would be secured. He said said that painters tape is better than scotch tape which he's seen from other guests. I know that if you dont have a box, its okay. They do and they can make a box to fit your item(s) and charge you with your shipment. I opted for the cheapest ground shipping because he said the same thing for air shipping was an additional $40. read more

Can't say that staff was very helpful at this location, they saw me struggling with a large and heavy box and instead of helping out or even advising me to use a dolly, they just kind of looked at me and told me to put it on the counter to scan it then pointed at a stack of boxes on the other side of the store and told me "put it over there" terrible as the box was 90lbs. and marker HEAVY! Closest UPS Store to home and it does the job. 4 stars!!!! Have dropped off Amazon returns countless times at this UPS Store, and have always felt that the staff is warm and inviting. Also, there's usually no wait or very minimal wait time since there's at least two staff members ready to help patrons. In addition, this UPS Store's location is pretty convenient since there's plenty of street parking right out front. It's located the same plaza as Lunasia, the popular Dim Sum restaurant, so if there is no street parking up front, there's plenty of parking available in the back. Pleasantly surprised that lately there has been no need to print and package Amazon returns. I simply needed to bring the item to the UPS store for my return and they take care of the packing slip and the packaging. Just be ready to show them your QR code which can be found in your return confirmation email from Amazon. The customer service girl at the counter, with the glasses, long black hair and heavy lipstick, , is the most condescending, rude, person I've encountered in quite some time. Was returning an Amazon package, very heavy box. She stands behind the counter as she sees me packaging the stuff and asks "is this an Amazon return, is it all one shipment" I respond. Then I start soft kicking it to the counter and she points out to the dolly on the other side of the store, mind you, it has a huge bag in front it and I had to move that around. I take to the box and she says "that's not by way a dolly works, you need to put the rack down" It was the tone and the attitude. I'm not there for training or to be seen with a judgy face. The other employee there seem very uncomfortable by everything, I can't tell by her face. If this happened while I was there I can only imagine what was said after I left. Never again stepping foot in there if she is behind the counter. I worked customer service for many years and that attitude would've gotten me fired. read more

These people are disgraceful pirates!! They tried to charge me for me picking up a package from them! The shipper sent it there and they wouldn't let me have it until I paid them an outrageous fee. The shipping was fully paid for, btw. They don't print this policy. They couldn't provide me a copy of this policy either. Quick and efficient is this UPS. I like that it usually has parking available in front of the store but it can get busy at the end of the day as everyone's rushing in after work. There's plenty of free parking behind the store too. The line can build up but I'm usually in and out in a few minutes because of how quickly they take care of customers. I also found the notary service to be affordable and quick. It's one of the easiest way to get a document notarized in the area. read more

I've had a box here for a decade. I always believed that box holders should not have to wait in long lines just to retrieve packages. Most walk in customers are doing transactions that require lots of help or explanation. Otherwise staff is friendly, professional and easy to work with. I always get fast and friendly service here when I need to make a shipment. One time I received instructions from another company to put 2 labels on one package because I was returning 2 items. I am grateful the UPS worker told me that wouldn't work instead of just sending it through. Another time they even accepted a package about a minute before closing! read more

I know no one likes going to the UPS store, but sometimes it's nice to have a good experience. I was dropping off an Amazon return (which I normally do at Kohl's because I hate going to the UPS store), but they didn't have this option for this return, so I had to go to Kohl's. This was on my way to another location, so I decided to go in and drop off my return. The only good thing about this location is there is street parking in the front. I went in and talked to a youngish employee (I wished I got his name). It was Thursday late afternoon and no one was there. I did the return no problem, but when I asked him about a trash can to throw away my box (it was not that big). He told me that I had to take the box home and throw it away at home???? Aren't I at a UPS store??? It's not like I brought in a huge box. I was sort of confused and as I was walking out, I saw multiple trash cans (lol, I don't even know why I asked). I was just going to throw it away in their trash, but I realized the box had my address on it, so I just took it back with me. But, terrible service here. If you need to go to a UPS in Alhambra, go to the one on Valley. I went there the week before and super nice employees. If I ever need to go back to UPS around the area, definitely will not frequent this location. read more

Iesha, Ray and Chloe were all super helpful when completing my passport photos. I needed a set for an American passport and one for a Canadian one and was able to accomplish them both, even though the Canadian requirements were new to them. I would definitely recommend getting your American passport photos done at this location. Super quick, professional and easy. The Canadian passport requirements are much stricter, including no shadows in the photo at all and different parameters for the photos, so maybe head to an international passport location for those photo needs. Came here for an Amazon return- the box was open and steven at the front desk informed us it needed to be closed. Ok no problem, we got the box to close and then we asked his coworker, Edward, to use the tape gun. "Nope, you have to buy tape". The two guys here, Steven and Edward, were super unfriendly and unhelpful. They didn't even greet us when we walked in. I went in to get a minor travel consent notarized for my daughter. The nice gentleman across the counter, Jesse, was nice enough to review my letter and educate me on what they look for on the letter. I was prepared and knew what I needed but it was very nice of him to go above and beyond to provide the information in order to prevent any problems. His customer service was exceptional!!! It was simple and the cost was awesome! I usually pay $25 else where to have documents notarized. They only charge $15 at UPS!!! Definitely recommend coming here for your Notary needs. read more

My last review was five stars, for a different ups store location. And this is the difficulty with franchises, individual owners make a big difference. Set up a return on Amazon for multiple items. It says clearly I don't need to repackage. But I get to the store and the person there tells me they can't take it unless it's all on one box. So I ask if I can buy a box. He says "sure. $40." For a cardboard box. Cardboard box. Not shipping. A box. Guess where I will never ever go again. Oh, and for the franchise owner, if you see this, my last UPS shipment that earned that store five stars was for $2500. Something I do from time to time but won't ever be at your location. read more
