I've been a customer of San Marino Mailbox for a couple years now, and I'm as happy with them now as I was when I first started using their service. I live in a residence I share with a few other people, and I appreciate the privacy and security I get from having my mail delivered to a different location. I'm able to check my mailbox whenever is convenient for me any time of the day, 24/7. I rarely have to ship anything, but when I do, the clerks Grace and Brenda are always friendly and helpful. And it's much better than waiting in a long line at the post office and dealing with grumpy government workers, especially at the holidays. Even when they're busy, the clerks always greet me with a smile and acknowledgment that they'll help me as soon as possible. Yes, the mailbox rental may cost a little more than at USPS, but I'd rather deal with the super sweet clerks at San Marino any day. Also you have to remember, this is a small, locally owned business and not a government subsidized post office, so the prices may be a bit higher, but the customer service is much better. 5 stars, highly recommended. read more

First time at this location and I will be going back. It is conveniently on my way to work and there's plenty of street parking. The interior of the location was clean, the service was great, and the staff was very helpful. I recently started selling some of my items online and don't know much about shipping. I loved that there was no wait which meant I could ask my many questions. Not only did Brenda patiently help me with my shipping label, she also answered all of my questions. I was pleased to go in to San Marino mailbox for a last minute shipment on Saturday before Christmas, UPS had just come by and the wonderful lady assisting me even offered to drop my package off after she closed, (considering I'm an elderly person). Such wonderful service and so convenient, the lines and wait is nothing like at USPS, which sadly I've had not the greatest encounters. Mailbox San Marino is AWESOME! This is big news because this place is super convenient to where I live and for a long time it was just "okay" because it only did USPS and FedEx - BUT A new owner has taken over and NOW not only do they include UPS and DHL.... but..... wait for it...... They Have an Amazon Box! Previous to this if you wanted to utilize the super convenient Amazon Box for pick up or return drop off, you had to go to USC Village which might as well be in another state. I happened to driving by and heading to the UPS store, which is always kind of a madhouse and saw a UPS truck pulling away from the curb in front of Mailbox SM - I then saw a new sign in the window with the UPS logo on it and decided to stop in and check it out. I met the new owner, who was very friendly and helpful (a welcome change from the previous owner who always seemed angry) and immediately saw the bright yellow Amazon Box which is called "Rope" (I think - kinda odd but whatever) - If you're an Amazon shopper like me, this is helpful info because you can select it from the dropdown menu. Anyway.... the place is great and the new owner was telling me they do all kinds of other services like shredding, notary service, shipping etc. Wanted to share the good news to my fellow Yelpers. read more

Poor Service, with a High Price! Get a P.O. Box instead. Ever since Pamela ZP took over/purchased this mailbox store a few years, mail has "disappeared", etc, and she is always trying to increase prices for non-existent service, not to mention other privacy concerns. She doesn't even deliver mail on Saturdays. For most small P.O. boxes the cost for the year is $166, and you can get packages delivered to P.O. boxes, where mail delivery is more reliable and secure. Currently Pamela is charging $200 a year for the small box at SanMarino Malbox, and that's with a couple of price increases over the last few years. You would think she would try to be comparable to the post office prices. Pamela thinks she is providing some unique service that doesn't exist elsewhere. Everyone else should go elsewhere! There were other poor reviews about her business, but somehow she got those taken down. This has been our personal experience, and this dishonesty seems to be habit for Ms. Pamela, as was the case in her other business(es) such as Adia Home Health, as explained in their reviews as well (complaining of taking advantage of elderly persons in several regards). read more

Great alternative to a PO box. Since it's not a PO box this place will accept packages as long as it's nothing too big like a fridge. Absolutely superb. San Marino Mailbox is so much more than just a mailbox, always going above and beyond to serve their customers. Right off the bat you'll find a tidy, organized, and welcoming location. But where this place really shines the most is Pam the manager who is just the warmest and sweetest person you can have the pleasure of meeting. There are very few places of business you'll find that authentic warmhearted human touch and personal attention that have completely endeared this place to me. In fact I had moved away from the area but Pam has become such a trusted confidant and friend that I'll keep coming back to because I can't imagine having any other place or person taking care of my packages and goods.
