Why the hostile one star reviews? I like to give kudos to stores when they change owners and my 5 starts goes to the UPS store in Petaluma. Rachel took care my my somewhat complicated mailing. Store just got a new owner. Immediately jacked mailbox prices by 25% even though previous owner just raised box rates. Went to the post office right down the street and got same size box for HALF THEIR PRICE. Won't go back once I return the keys. Another crap franchisee. Avoid. read more

I had a strange shaped package to send out today and a big thank you to the gentleman that helped me at the UPS Store. He was great and after he had it all closed up I realized I forgot to give him the package information. He very carefully opened it up and put the information inside - no problem. I frequently bring in returns for a friend. These have consistently been received well, efficiently and I get a receipt every time. All the employees are kind and professional. There has never been an issue with a package being lost. Highly recommend this store! read more

I have been coming her for years. I worked with Jesus, who recently left this store and got employment elsewhere. Jesus was wonderful and did a great job. Just a few days ago, I brought in 2 packages for return to amazon; the owner; gave me a receipt with one tracking number on it. I didn't look at the receipt carefully...until a day or so later. It said that I only brought one package!! That isn't true! I had to drive back to the store and when I told him I had sent 2 packages; the owner tells me I need to look at the label number and track from there!! NO_NO! When I bring 2 packages, you enter that on the receipt label you gave me! The owner was acting like I was stupid and wrong!! He lost a customer! read more

Bob the owners was extremely rude to me...extremely poor customer servies. I called requesting an email to send a shipping label for printing- he spit out so fast- that i even said wait, wait, wait but he had already hung up on me. So I had to call back and get and he rushed through it again.- So I arrive and no shipping label as arrived in inbox- so he writes it down and I resend- finally he got it. Would have been so much easier to give to me to me once- in clear easy going manner. Then he went on to say I should buy a printer as if this was the biggest waste of time for him AND tHe prints it and pointedly says to me "this one is on me" I was surprised and said you charge for shipping label printing of your UPS labels? "Yes of course we do" like I was stupid. I told him fedex doesnt charge to print their own labels. To which he replies You should stick with fed ex then. Rude! He offers no receipt-I have to ask for it and he painstakingly takes his time giving to me...Sure took extreme joy in it. (I was obviously in hurry to get to work) Maybe Bob should hire somebody with a friendlier disposition to give good customer service. RETIRE Bob- and be a cranky old fart with your friends. I'm sure they appreciate your sarcasm and underhanded snide comments. I didn't to the point that I had to Yelp it... If i had a choice I would definitely stick w/ fedex and will MOST definitely go to different UPS store if needed. I have been coming to this store for years but after a recent experience with new management I will take my business elsewhere. I brought in a box containing portable chargers for shipping to a career fair out of state the following week. The gentleman helping me was great, took all my info, sealed up the box for me, etc. Was close to $300 to ship, which is fine. When the box did not arrive, I looked at the tracking which showed no activity. I received a voice mail message from Navita asking for a return call. I called twice and left messages. I then texted and her response was the original markings on the box were holding up transport because they thought there are hazardous materials in the box AND it is the customers responsibility to remove. I told the gentleman helping me there were portable chargers (I.e. lithium ion batteries) in the box, so he was aware and never said the original labels on the box were problematic. I am not sure how I would know this, shouldn't the shipping expert advise? When I asked if I can just get the box back, the response was you can go to the Oakland Airport and pick it up but there's no refund on shipping. I did not ask for or expect a refund, but an apology for the inconvenience would have been my minimal expectation. I am mostly concerned with blaming me the customer for the problem and total lack of accountability or problem solving to get the box back. I have a relative in upper management at UPS and will also be filing a complaint with them and sadly not returning to this location. Too bad, because prior management was great and the location is super convenient. read more

Let me start off by saying I always use this store for my shipping and Amazon returns. The old management was pleasant to work with and treated customers nice. I went in this afternoon with an Amazon return and placed the box on the counter. I left it open because I had two returns and wasn't sure if they could be in the same box or not. I showed my return code to the lady that was helping me and before I could even ask my question she informed me that it's "customer packaged" and I could either buy tape for $2.00 or bring it back when it was taped. I understand the box not being taped was on me but she was so quick to tell me i did something wrong without even allowing me to ask my question or explain anything. Poor customer service and I will no longer use this store. I will go to Kohls for my returns and the other UPS store on the other side of town for my other needs. After the way I was treated I did not buy any tape and left very disappointed with the lack of customer service. read more

I've been using this location for over three years now and I've been treated with nothing but respect by all members of staff. Everyone has been extremely helpful with my packages whether I am shipping or picking up, and they have gone above and beyond to help me. read more

I have worked with other POB companies but none as efficient and courteous as the Petaluma location. They have over extended themselves in assisting me with mail holds and a necessary location change. No additional fees were charged for these services. During the loss of home due to fires they have provided a great deal of comfort. read more

Friendly and efficient staff My experience was (surprisingly) pleasant! Had to get an application notarized. Called over to this location, and an employee gave me the details of what I would need to bring and was sure to let me know that the notary services ended 30 minutes before the store closes. Went to this location later that day. Was in and out in 5 minutes. I was greeted and helped right away, filled out my form, signed the book, etc. $10 for speedy service. read more

Super service!!!! I brought in a large, over-sized, framed print to ship to Arizona. The store manager and his staff were so helpful and explained the different choices of packaging and and the cost. The package arrived in Arizona in the amount of time the UPS manager had estimated. My sister was AMAZED at how securely wrapped and boxed it was. She said it took her 20 minutes unwrapping. "Flawless job. I would recommend them for any professional packing". Thanks so much for the great work!!! You're my Store from now on! read more

I have used the McDowell UPS Store for years and have always had great experiences...until today. I walked in with a box that I needed help finishing up. The contents are fragile and I told the girl behind the counter that I needed help with the bubble wrap/padding. She said she'd have to charge me for packaging the box or the bubble wrap rolls "are over there". I went over to look at the bubble wrap rolls. There were way too many to choose from. I told her I didn't know what size to get. She started telling me there were small bubble, medium bubble, etc. I told her I still didn't know what I needed. Rather than HELPING me, with a complete attitude, she told me "it's common sense". I still can't believe those words came out of her mouth. Common sense? I don't care how annoyed a customer may make you, that is not acceptable. I said "what did you just say to me?". She then stood there arguing with me, the CUSTOMER. I said, "do you hear how you're speaking to me?". She said "I'm speaking to you like this because you're giving me sass". This was all said IN FRONT of the Tim, the manager, who stood there and did absolutely nothing. We use this store for notaries and every package my family ships. I am not only floored and in disbelief that I was spoken to that way, I am even more shocked that the manager stood there and did nothing to correct this behavior. Completely unacceptable. read more

Price gouging on notary service. The guy wanted $15 per signature. For my wife and I to each sign 5 documents would have cost us $150. I told them that was crazy. Most places charge by the document, not the signature, and they discount multiple documents. To top off the bad experience, I got a sarcastic "have a nice day" from the female employee in the store as I was leaving. read more

I've come to the store multiple times and always received good advice on packing and shipping as well as how to deal with returns. Another two visits in the last two weeks and I find the staff is professional and polite and knows how to keep the wait time down. read more

My friend and I needed two pieces of paperwork notarized. This is a busy notary. He was very nice and professional. We didn't need an appointment and only had to wait in line for a few minutes before he got to us. The greeting cards in the store were fantastic. Forget the big greeting card stores, go to the UPS Store in the Orchard Shopping Center. read more

Just had the worst, most frusterating experience at this store! The girl working the counter was not on extremely unfriendly, she had little to know customer service skills as well. I brought in my Amazon package to return. She told me I needed to purchase a box to return it in. I said, "it states right here it's free returns because I have prime." She said I needed to buy a box because I had the wrong code. I was extremely frusterated since it clearly stated that UPS packs and returns the items for free. I went over to kohl's where I usually go and the woman told me to cancel the return and come to them. I tried to but it wouldn't allow me to return anywhere but the UPS store. I waited a while and went back to the store. A younger man was there at the counter. He scanned my item and it was no problem at all. So obviously I had the right information all along, the female just wanted me to purchase a box and wasn't helpful enough to look into it more. Poor customer service. I will drive to another city next time I need UPS read more

I went in to have them help me package my brother's Marine flag in a case that I was sending back East to have it spend time with another sibling. They were extremely respectful and compassionate and helpful. I went to a different store in Santa Rosa and the kid didn't have a clue what it was or how to package it safely.
