I regularly go to this store, mostly to drop off returns from my MANY attempts at retail therapy. I have to say, all the associates at the store are extremely helpful, mild mannered and polite. Their services are clearly stated and they are extremely helpful with their suggestions. I know a number of people have mentioned prices are higher than USPS, and well, that has to be, correct? Plus I am sure the store does not decide prices, corporate UPS does. In either case, the associates and the owner is always suggesting ways to save money (suggesting the best way to send something while also saving money!). VERY DISAPPOINTED , I west to send 4 light weight face masks from Illinois to Michigan. Grabbed an envelope & had the clerk weighed & told me almost 20$ 19 . and I forgot the change. I LEFT!! As I felt it was price gauging. I'm not working because of the virus. I was shipping the 4 masks to my girlfriend whom is an ER nurse, they don't have supplies. So she'll have to wait longer & I will go to the post office tomorrow. Shameful there's no way shipping 4 light weight masks should be that much money!!! read more

Long line for a weekday at the end of January. I was ready to be in and out fast, since my last experience at FedEx down the street was so quick and painless. I waited behind some very strange individuals. One woman wanted to send an envelope of photos 2nd day or overnight. When the employee informed her it was $10 to send 2nd day, she huffed and puffed about how she didn't want to pay that much. I don't know what decade she is living in, but she could've scanned these photos and emailed them for free. The employee was very polite and patient with her, while she just stood there and whined about how pricey it was, like he was going to give her some kind of discount. The second woman wanted to ship a small package to El Salvador. She told the employee she'd shipped there before. But after being told it would cost $100, she looked shocked and walked out with her package. Finally, it was my turn. It's very easy to get in and out quickly if you have a pre-printed label and your stuff is already in a box, but I guess not everyone understands this. I was shipping a designer handbag to a resale company, and I'm going to receive a large check in the mail for the sale. It made me uneasy that the guy didn't seal my box, he just put it in a pile out of my view. I glanced toward the pile, and he said, "I'll package that up later." So there's my box, open, with an $1,100 item inside just sitting in a corner. At least I have a tracking number. read more

Since moving here, we come here for all our shipping needs. Since our family doesn't live in the area, that's more than most. We haven't ever had any issues in the store or with deliveries. I realize this is pretty basic but I feel like they are rated unfairly low. read more

I've gone to this location quite a few times, usually just with prepaid packages and they are always quick and helpful. They also don't nickle and dime you if you need a little bit of tape like the horrible Oswego location. read more

Went in to ship two items. I chose UPS because I had been given an account number to ship one package under, so I simply decided to ship both since the other item was for a different purpose. I paid for shipping on the first item and started the transaction for the second, providing them with the UPS account number that I had been given. I was told they could only ship under their account number since they were a franchise. I was then told most people just print labels. I asked if they could do that for me and was told they could not, even though they had the facilities right there to do it. I flatly said that was not good service and he responded that they give great service to UPS. As a franchise in a commodity business, good service is the only way to distinguish yourself. This franchise does not provide good service. I recommend using the FedEx location up the street instead. read more

Have always had great customer service when using this location for service. Employees smile and are very helpful. I have never had to wait to mail anything. If they notice someone waiting to be helped, another employee comes from the back to help. On 12/19 I shipped 5 packages and was in and out of the store in less than 10 minutes. Kudos on speedy customer service. Especially at Christmas time! read more

Where do I start....I understand that no business can be perfect all the time but it seems as though every time I go to this location, I have a bad experience. From them opening the store late to getting mad when I stop in to request a shipping price, it's always the same, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Example 1: Stopped there on my way to work and had to wait in my car because the owner, Pete opened the store 20 minutes late. Example 2: Shipped a package and requested that a fragile sticker be placed on the package. The worker's response was, "It doesn't matter because they just take it out of one truck and throw in the other." Really??? Actually, it goes on a conveyor belt to be sorted then it is supposed to be placed, not thrown into the destination truck. Example 3: Stopped in to check a shipping price and the woman got mad that I didn't ship because I wanted to see how much USPS would charge before deciding. Her response, "You should just go there all the time then." I ship often so luckily, there is a Post Office and FedEx nearby so I have options. From this point forward, I don't care if it costs more to ship elsewhere because I will never give this location my business again. Thumbs down. 1 star. read more

This store has the worst Customer Service Ever!! UPS insurance is a joke!! BE WARE!! USE FED EX... - - 2010-05-15 I shipped a package in early April from this UPS store. (The UPS Store 4488, 13400 S Rte-59, Plainfield, IL 60585) Paid to have someone package the product and extra for a more secure box I then brought it to the store and paid extra for the insurance to cover the product. $2500 of coverage! The store took the money and the package and shipped. The product was damaged in shipping and an insurance claim was filed...No big deal I had insurance and the product was packaged by a professional which I paid extra for! WRONG! UPS denied my claim and so the store resubbmitted. Each time I call the store "NO ONE" knows what is going on except "PETE" I believe the owner and Pete will not call you back. Within the last 5 days I left 4 messages and stopped in the store and asked for him to call and update me and have yet to recieve a phone call. This is NO way to treat customers and no way to run a business. The store seems great for mindless jobs like making copies but if you need real support with shipping or filing a claim DO NOT GO HERE...I suggest FED EX!! I hope to hear from Pete and get answers but @ this point I have given up and went to the corporate office of MBE and UPS Stores. I will never use this store or UPS after this experience. Their insurance is a joke their treatment of customers is wrong and the stores they franchise have no cluse how to treat customers. read more

If you value what you are shipping stay clear of UPS. Brought in several Llardo's to ship, asked the girl several times if they would be re wrapped and put into a larger box with peanuts. She assured me that they would. We left thinking our items were in good hands. When they arrived at the destination they were in a million pieces, they were in the original wrap that I had them in no peanuts and all just thrown into another box. Oh they were so very sorry when we called but seeing as I did not get insurance from them , too bad so sad. Was never asked if I wanted insurance and I know it was my responsibly to ask but just did not think of it. What made me so angry is that we repeatedly told them items were extremely fragile and yes they totally understood. Would have done better wrapping it myself and sending priority mail through USPS. This UPS store is a disgrace and I would be ashamed to be associated with it in any way shape or form. Will use Fed Ex and will never again use a UPS store. read more
