I've dropped off many packages here with smooth transactions and always had my packages made it safe to it's destinations. There's sometimes a short wait line and the staff are usually prompt in their service to my needs. There's one particular staff member named Amanda that has answered all my questions, helped setup a PO box & set-up a recurring payment plan to ease my business shipments. I have been here several times and they are not helpful. For instance, I generally bring large boxes by myself and have had two occasions where I'm holding a box and trying to the open the door and they just look up. Don't come grab the door, that would be too kind. Recently, I went in with a box and said I needed to print a paper that had to GO INSIDE the box and when I turned around the box was taped. The woman working in there, I think may be the manager, said it's fine will just stick it on the outside. I had to repeat that it needed to go inside. They just seem to be lacking in customer service and once the regular guy in there, who is probably the nicest, which isn't saying too much, was ranting about how bad UPS is! read more

Asked a long haired woman with glasses if they were open yet and she snips with attitude "nope! Just got here." I went in to this UPS store on 4/10 at 6:52 pm. I was rushing to make it before they closed as I had to get a few shipments out. I'm a healthcare administrator and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been working very long hours and have been unable to make it to UPS before close...until today. When I arrived, I felt as if I had shown up 30 seconds before they closed. I put down two boxes, one was packed and just about ready to go and the other was an amazon return and I had the barcode ready that was needed. The UPS employee, "BB" (if that's even her real name since I asked for it once I was clearly upset), rudely asked what I needed. I mentioned I had a couple shipments and a return. She rudely said she would start with the return. At that point I mentioned I had another big box I had to get wondering if she wanted me to get that first or if she wanted information prior. However, the minute I mentioned I had another box in my car (which was all ready with a prepaid label..a "drop off"), she very rudely said "Well let's go! Go get it! Come on, we close at seven" with a very unprofessional forward hand gesture indicating to speed things up. I was absolutely shocked by her lack of customer service. I have worked in the service industry for about 15 years. Many times, I had customers that would come in 5 minutes (or even less) before closing where their late arrival would mean I had to stay at least an hour (typically 2-3 hrs) after closing and I NEVER greeted or treated any of them the way "BB" treated me. We were done by 6:57 pm and it would've been sooner if she didn't keep messing up. During this difficult time we are all facing, we should be more empathetic to those that are in the frontlines trying to keep our community safe and healthy. I hated coming in so close to closing but I had no other option- I left work earlier than usual just to make it in time. So, note to "BB", you never know what people are going through or what their circumstances are. After I had a package stolen from my front porch, I needed a more secure option for all those amazon.com packages that I keep ordering. The cost of renting a UPS box is trivial and I use their address as my business address. I get a text/e-mail whenever I get a package, so zero wasted time. I just stop in on the way home from work. Pick the packages up within 5 days to avoid a storage fee. No problem there and if I'm on vacation and I have a small fee, no big deal. Initially plan for some time for the sign-up process and bring a couple of IDs... you need to give written permission for them to accept your packages, etc. It's all standard. My wife had to come in separately to get keys and all the documents signed. With the rental you get a box key and a key to the front door giving you 24/7 access to what's in your box. You can claim packages only during business hours, however. Now, nothing comes to my front door and I have received dozens of packages at the UPS store without a security worry. It's really an inexpensive step toward peace of mind. Should have done this long ago. I have never experienced any rudeness from any employee. Highly recommend! read more

I seriously had the worst experience there! I always deal with UPS because I know they're a very good company; however, I was so dissapointed today and I'll stop going there. Before I head there, while I was still in ny car, I called them and asked them if they have someone to do the fingerprints for me. The girl said there will be someone for 15-20 mins or so and she didn't give a specific time. I got there exactly 15 mins after I hung up. The girl talked to me in a very rude way and she said, "no one is here to do your fingerprint, are you gonna pay me for the overtime" I was really shocked and I thought she was joking then she said that she'll finish the guy she already has and then she'll leave. I don't mind if it's time for her to leave but, First, she should have told me from the beginning that she's not gonna wait 15 mins and then tells me she'll go because she got another customer. She was helping us and she was so rude a frown in her face not so welcoming and this very old lady was asking her the process of the shipping and the old lady asked her to repeat it again and she raised her voice repeating herself and she sounded so annoyed. Wow I wish I had read the rave reviews here before taking my business to this UPS store, I definitely would have driven an extra 20 minutes to avoid the absolute joke that is the "customer service" at this store. I have been literally SCAMMED on two separate occasions, allow me to elaborate.... Mistake Number 1: BRING YOUR OWN TAPE- They are just making a killing here off of charging people A DOLLAR for tape, I should stand outside this place and hang out there all day and just give people tape for free just to piss off the UPS and be a good samaritan. So I come in here with two boxes of Amazon returns to make, I didn't have tape at home and had mentioned that to the older woman (tape nazi lady) at the counter. She proceeds to tell me that taping is going to cost me A DOLLAR PER BOX... are you nuts? It's not about the money, its about principle. Maybe charge me a quarter for a couple inches of tape to offset business costs, fine, but not an arm and a leg and my firstborn child. I was in a rush and needed to send the boxes back and so I said fine, go ahead, and I say "well if I had known I would have just taped it myself." This woman (tape nazi lady) looks at me and says "Oh I thought you said you didn't have tape at home" ... excuse me? Are you seriously going to sit here and accuse me of lying, I'm shelling out my money to you and you're accusing the customer of lying? I honestly should have just called her out on her ridiculously inappropriate customer service and walked out right then and there. I clarify to her and let her know that I meant, that I wish would have swung by Ralph's picked up 50 cents worth of tape and handled it myself instead of dealing with her bullshit. Totally rude attitude the whole time, I just couldn't get away from her sooner. Mistake Number 2: DON'T TAKE YOUR LIVESCAN HERE - I came here to get a livescan done for a volunteer organization and after spending several minutes standing around, this younger male employee ends up telling me that the livescan is going to cost $40. This is definitely not the case because the organization themselves have told me the livescan would run around $15, so I immediately found this to be questionable and walked out. I took my buisness to postal perfect (which I should have done in the first place, their customer service is unbeatable) and upon entering the SAME EXACT livescan information from my form into the computer...lo and behold...it comes out to only be $15. I came back later that day to address this matter with the employee, because honestly, I don't want someone else dropping an additional $25 or more because of some idiot entering wrong information and he tells me that I'm wrong and he entered all the correct information. LOL. Alright, I guess I'll just walk out of here with my receipt from postal perfect where they charged me $15 for the EXACT SAME SERVICE and my pockets $25 fatter feeling like a baller. Bottom Line...AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Management, why don't you take a serious look at the reviews on here and reconsider training your employees in the magical art of customer service, I've heard it works wonders for most businesses. read more

This store has THE WORST customer service I have ever encountered!! The only reason I gave 1 star is because that is the only way you can post. Otherwise I would give it a -10. Ever since they came under new ownership/management about a year ago it has been horrid!! I have rented a box there for the past 4+ years. You would expect a little bit of respect. But apparently MARIE is so entitled that she doesn't feel she needs to give anyone respect. RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! I had a package slip in my box and proceeded to stand in a LONG line to pick it up. There was one clerk there and MARIE who was doing a notary. The clerk was very nice and busting her hump to help with a complicated customer situation. I stood in line for 30 minutes. I watched the line grow longer and people come in and leave because they didn't want to wait. The clerk then began to help the next customer in line and I moved to the counter and said that I just needed to pick up my package. MARIE glanced over her shoulder and said, "Well, we all need to wait sweetie. You're gonna have to wait too." I said, "I'm sorry I need to be at an appointment right now can you please just grab it from the floor?" She ignored me and then reiterated that, "You're gonna have to wait, sweetie." REALLY?!?!!! I'm in my mid forties!!! Your going to patronize me and call me SWEETIE?!! Rude and unprofessional!! The clerk then paused and checked the floor. During which time MARIE proceeded to talk about me to the customer she was notarizing for. "We all need to wait. She needs to be patient. I'm working with you and you were here first." Who does that?!!! Then the clerk couldn't find my package and when she went to ask MARIE about it, MARIE said...oh yeah... somebody already picked it up and we don't have anything pending for you. I left completely fed up!!! MARIE needs to find another job away from customer service. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!! Horrible experience. Bait and switch. I called before going to this store to get some information. Basically, I wanted to know how many names I can put on a mailbox to receive mail. The person on phone checked with her manager and she said that 7 names is ok. So I went into the store later on thinking I could just sign up, choose a mailbox number, pay and leave quickly. But noooo!! First of all, the guy there called Dan was totally impatient and just rude. So after filling out the form, Dan tells me that only a max of 3 people can be listed. I told him that I called earlier and was told something different. So he starts going on about that the premise of a mailbox is to not have a bunch of people listed. I was upset now because I had called to make sure since at my former UPS store I could put as many names as I wanted. So he goes on saying how this is privately owned and has nothing to do with UPS. The name of the friggin store is The UPS Store! And he goes on about how it is not franchised. Then tries to give a stupid lecture about how they are independent. Well, I tell him McDonald's is a franchise and they still have to adhere to certain rules. He then says that McDonalds is not a franchise but a corporation!!! OMG he should really try to get a refund from whatever online college he is attending! I then ask for the manager, Daniel, and he had been standing a few feet away the whole time and he just looks at the floor without even caring. So I just leave the store. Later on I call another store that the same owner has in Upland, and the guy there says that it's no problem to have many names listed. I tell him about what Dan had told me, so he calls them. Now they are saying that they can have many names. So not only are they imbeciles, they are complete liars too!! I haven't been so upset at anybody in a long time. They just lost my business. I just went in there to mail 3 separate 8x8 books and asked for a piece of packaging tape to secure each package and the employee tried to charge me $1.00 per piece of tape! Seriously? 3 small pieces of tape? Mind you I mailed a package there the previous week that they had to completely tape up and they NEVER charged me. I then went to pay and she displayed her dissatisfaction for my cash form of payment saying she couldn't provide change that I needed another form of payment. Just rude. If you need a Live Scan might want to go somewhere else. Called the day before and confirmed that they would be available the following day. The person said they will be there until 5pm. Showed at 3pm and they left early. Drove over an hour. I do not recommend using this location for live scan services. read more

We went in for notary service. The Notary was very nice and promptly took care of business. We also needed passport photos. The other clerk was very personable and took our pictures. The charge was $16.00 for one set of two pics. DO NOT get your passport photos here. The pics were washed out with little color. You can get better photos somewhere else and a cheaper price. I am shocked that they have 2 star rating. It really should be one star! Actually, I'm not surprised at all. I went to drop off a packet to my attorney at this address thinking this was his office address but found out he just has a mail box at the UPS store. I asked a clerk if I can just drop off the packet to his mailbox the clerk didn't know so he asked his female supervisor and they together replied "because we don't know what's in your packet, we cannot just accept the packet, you have to pay and send by mail process". This was certainly a first that I was actually there in person but couldn't drop off the packet to a mailbox. They said I have to ship ground UPS for the cost of $9.60 My question was If I paid the amount then the packet will be dropped of by you personally to the mailbox? The clerk maybe was feeling bad got defensive in front of my two children and my wife. The female supervisor who wasn't in the conversation started to raise her voice almost yelling that "we don't know what is in your packet so this is the only way". All I asked was will the packet be delivered today since we are right next to the box or is there another system that I didn't know about since it is UPS ground. I hate assuming things so I just asked an earnest question about the process, which the clerk admitted that he misunderstood the question but the manager really got defensive and raised her voice over nothing that I'm worried about $10 where I mentioned already I'm dropping off a packet to an attorney. I don't know any attorneys any where in the U.S. that does things for pennies infact they rob people blind that is what they do. They charge consumers exorbitant amount of money yet it is good that they are around to help us in reality. See people who are willing to hire an attorney aren't going to be worried about paying some nominal $10 fee. If they just said, we apologize for the inconvenience but the process of receiving sending packet cost $10 and for the recourse reasons we have to have information on both sides to ensure some safety measurement or something close to that would have been a satisfactory explanation for the process. Clerk didn't know right off if he could accept the packet or not and neither did I, which caught me by surprise. So instead getting all defensive and upset think customer first and tried to explain the process rather than saying "we don't know what's in the packet". When we finished the process. They didn't ask for my ID so they still don't know who dropped off what. Never asked for my content in the packet. So the whole point of "not knowing what's in the packet" excuse didn't apply. They have no idea who I was what the packet contained and they don't care. I really don't care if they care to know what's in my packet but at least don't use that as an excuse to collect fee. Bottom line. I love the Ralph store at the location and sometimes we drive 4 to 5 miles from Upland to shop there on purpose because they are so friendly but I will never go back to this UPS store location. They are incompetent and unfriendly and other comments do not lie! If I were the only unsatisfied customer I say I really don't have a case but doesn't appear I'm the only one. I am almost shocked that they have a high rating of 2 stars out of 5. But maybe some people do like their service. Who knows! read more

Pay attention to these reviews, they are not lying. I came several weeks ago to have a notarization done, I had called 2 days prior asking about the hours of operation of the notary. I spoke to Maria and she told me that she would be in on Saturday at 10, I showed up a little after 10 with my husband and the young associate working informed me she was not in yet. It was a big inconvenience as we had depended on Maria to get this notarized, last minute we had to try to find someone else to help us. I would leave zero stars if possible they don't even deserve a star! I called the store and spoke with Nick on my way their to find out the cost to print 12 pages of color prints I realized they would be closing soon so I put the navigation to get an idea if I would even make it which according to the navigation I would however when I called the store I was told the copy machines were already turned off but I could shop if I wanted I asked could they turn them on to print since I was already in the car on my way and so close and they hadn't closed they said no. I used to work at a ups store and know it isn't hard to flip a switch and takes seconds to shut off or on. He obviously didn't want my business and I told him that. I hung up and realized I should have asked for the name of the owner to make a complaint how they don't seem to care if it's not time to close they are closing anyways and he said he could not give me the information I then asked for the name of the manager and he stated her name was Marie. I told him even when they close they still have to close everything out and I know they get paid for a short time after while closing the store till the moment they clock out and he said am I gonna pay overtime. He didn't like the fact I told him that and flat out hung up the phone on me!!!!! I was appalled their customer service could be so bad and the owner Chip Stark could let his employees get away with these actions. I googled who the owner was and found his name as I stated above and I called the store manager on Monday morning as it was a Saturday when this happened and she never even once apologized for her employees behavior in fact acted as if it was no big deal! I asked what was the best was to contact the owner and was told to mail at their store email that he reads everything. So I sent an email back in February as this happened back then and still to this day haven't heard a thing! I have never been to this ups store this would have been my first but now I will never spend a hard earned dime their ever as long as the owner chip owns it. He obviously must be about money and not customer service the sad part is if they had better customer service skills he could be making way more and have happier customers from the looks of it it seems there have been lots of bad experiences here at this location and he does not care from reading all the negative reviews I can see the things these people are saying as true based off of my experience.
