I understand that Party City recently merged with Staples and the staff is still adjusting, but it shouldn't have taken over 35 minutes to fill just 15 balloons. There didn't seem to be any sense of urgency, even though it was clear the employees were trying their best. I have never written a review before, but the experience was so poor I feel as it would be a disservice to everybody in the surrounding area to not share. We came in on a Saturday afternoon looking to order 500 postcards. We expressed the urgency of getting these and were willing to be pay extra, if needed, to have the by mid-day the following day, if it was to be any later we would NOT place the order. We were explicitly told by the General Manager, Ben, we couldn't expedite BUT it would be done by "2:30pm at the absolute latest" & would more than likely be done sooner. We called multiple times throughout the day to check status but were left on hold for 15 minutes each time, NEVER speaking to an associate. We arrived at 3:00pm to pick them up & were told it would be an addition 15 minutes. After 15 minutes an associate told us the printer was "broken" and they could not get them done & could possibly offer a partial or full refund. We then had to wait 10 more minutes for the shift manager to come to the front of the store to tell us he just spoke with Ben and "he never promised to have them done by 2:30" & then refused to give us a partial or full refund and allow us to take the half of cards that had finished. Stating we had to take nothing and get refunded or wait to get the full amount of postcards. When i informed him that his associate JUST told us the printer was broken he said it was not broken and they would be done by 4:30pm. All while this is happening ANOTHER person was calling the store and was left on hold for 15 minutes & was only answered after I told them about the phone STILL ringing. I would give 0 stars if possible. The associates & General Manager obviously do not care about the non-stop phones ringing & lie about when things will be done & what machines are actually working or not. read more

Made an order and it ended up being back ordered due to supply shortage which I totally understand. I was just calling to get an update to make sure it wasn't canceled for whatever reason and Robert answered my call, was so attentive and sweet and went above and beyond on checking on my order, adding notes into my order, and even going as far as pushing my to possibly get my order sooner. 10/10 customer service that you don't normally get nowadays! We dropped by this store because my husband wanted to look at the plastic floor covering that goes over the carpet so that your chair can roll smoothly over it. We still didn't measure the size we needed. He wanted the largest size but it was almost $90. From another employee at a different Staples, this store won't price match because Staples makes their own plastic mats. Hubby wasn't too impressed to buy. This store is rather smaller than then one we went to a few days ago. However the employee did greet us and asked if we needed any help. A+ on customer service. read more

Bought printer from him and will be setting up this weekend and see how easy and well the printer works with the information he provided me. Printers are a difficult purchase these days... I ordered wrapping paper Dec. 5 , they ran out of ink and paper which I understand! But when I went in store just to see what number I was in queue and get an estimated time because I was going on vacation soon for the holidays. An employee stated it'll be ready by Friday Dec.12 . So I waited an extra day and didn't get any update. Called today Dec.21 and an employee (male voice) was saying it wouldn't be ready until the 22! I told him I was going on vacation on the 17 so I wouldn't be able to get it in time and asked if he could at least check at what point I am in line, only for him to say ,"yeah, we wouldn't be able to do that". WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! Then he said "can you hold on" and i thought maybe he was checking after all but I instead got transferred to the actual printing service which I didn't know had a separate phone but I LOVED AMY! She was so awesome and caring about my situation and actually treated me like an actual customer and human. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I waited in line and was blatantly ignored, unable to get assistance with printing a single page. All of the Hispanic customers around me were helped promptly, while I was completely disregarded. The lack of customer service was shocking, and it was clear I wasn't valued as a customer here. I won't be returning to this Staples, and I sincerely hope the store management takes action to address this issue with proper training. read more

This was our first time at this location. It was pretty warm and stuffy in here but it was 100° out today. We came in to get back to school sale items for our class. The spiral-bound notebooks and composition books were easy to find. Index cards pencils glue sticks also easy to find. The plastic report folders were more of a challenge. I found an associate and ask them where they were. The young man told me, "oh they're hidden, there in the back at the end of this aisle over here on the floor." I found them after he gave me those great directions. They have school rewards where your school earns money back for all the supplies that students purchase at staples. read more

Stumbled in here for glue sticks, planner stickers and goal board supplies. I don't usually shop at Staples but this Staples has got to be the nicest crew ever! I was greeted when I walked in and politely asked by the workers if I was finding everything alright. There was like one older gentleman that smiled and asked me if I was doing ok and like three to four young people that would be in the aisles I was perusing and would genuinely ask if I was finding everything I needed. One guy was even helping out another customer and looked over and asked if I was doing ok! The only other place I've been where the workers were this nice to me was Disneyland! I'd definitely recommend shopping here. I decided to buy a glue stick and when I got to the front of the store I found they had a sale on glue sticks: 6 jumbo glue sticks for $2.99! I ordered some invitations and there was a slight flaw, Benjamin reprinted them for me and was so kind and understanding about it. Not only did he reprint but they gave them to me within an hour which is so meaningful to me because I have 2 babies and it's so hard to leave the house. Unfortunately an unpleasant experience. Coming to buy an chair and having to look for people to assist you. Finally a lady which seemed to be a manager that I approached pulls a cart and says 'we might need this since you need a chair". I ask about some features of office chairs (lumbar support, raising levers, and other features), and she says.. "yeah they have adjustments on the bottom". I asked if anyone had knowledge about office chairs in terms of ergonomics or features and she states "well it's just the 3 of us right now". Not willing to help or provide additional assistance. Bad attitudes, limited knowledge, and the manager had to call the customer service phone number to get instructions to issue a refund. Me and 5 other people waited in line and the manager only yelled "thank you for your patience" to us. There was no staff to work the check out. I go to Staples, if it's my last resort to print. That's the only time I usually go, is to print something. I work very quickly, no time for unnecessary web surfing because the price can add up quickly, especially if you lose track. Its .30 a minute to use the computer, with a $5 or $10 hold on your card, to even get started, which is ridiculous, that's why they are my last resort. The paper quality to print and copy is good, so that's a plus. read more

Just bad customer service, was not welcomed by any of the staff. A simple "Hello, how may I help you " goes a long way, in just customer service in general. As we approached the counter the worker proceeded to just walk past us. No words, until I spoke up and said something. It shouldn't take a customer to speak and all I was there to do was pick up an order. I needed a few more things but chose to spend my money at a different location. I just wanted to come here to express my appreciation for Ben at this Staples location. He was very helpful, enthusiastic, and reassured me that the Save the Dates for my wedding would be made with ease and care. I appreciate Ben so much because i've been to 2 other Staples locations with my request and was turned away for reasons such as: the Vellum paper i needed was out of stock and told I was unable to purchase more, that they simply could not/do not print on Vellum paper, and that they don't print on any outside paper brought in by customers. I let Ben know about my previous experience, and was ready for the same response and finally decide to go somewhere else with my request. But Ben assured me that his printers could do the job. And even if they couldn't print it in store there are other options to send my request out with materials to complete my order. He let me know that there are no restrictions on customers bringing in outside paper- as long as the paper is ink jet compatible. these were not options expressed to me at previous locations. Been here 4 times this month & every time something so simple takes 30+ minutes! It's crazy! They need to deal with one customer at a time & complete the task. The people next to been waiting 45min just to get a pick up. (I just want to ask if we can see our photos before they are printed) Even I haven't had time to say what I mean, she curtly tells us to wait!
