Customers please be aware. I came to do an Amazon return. Amazon noted that I did not need to package the item, but simply to bring it in along with the Scan code. I had a package that needed to be shipped out. I was told by the woman who works there with no name (she took off her name tag and refused to provide me with it) that they can't take my package because UPS already picked up for the day... I was so confused. She proceeded to tell me my package was to large if I wanted to leave it there would be an overnight fee. Box size 18inx14x13. I told her this information should really be on th Website. I gathered my box and started to walk out. These have to be the rudest people I have ever met. Where are the negative stars?? They act like they do no wrong, and it absolutely is the customers fault if the customer doesnt understand what they are saying with their thick accents. I went to get a notary signature, and to my right I heard the Indian lady speaking with another customer over a missunderstanding that they were having. Of course it was the customers fault. The man starts shuffling through my paperwork, and I ask him what he needs, and does he need the signature pages. He gets testy with me. I say to him these are critical and important papers, if he needs something specific, I can dig it out for him. I have them all organized, I dont want to mix them up. I ask him around three times what exactly he needs, as he keeps attempting to shuffle through my papers! He then proceeds to get really nasty with me, and tells me to leave. So we get into a little back and forth shouting match. The gall on this man! It is my fault that he doesnt speak english? Anyways, I go up to the postal annex by Mollie stone, & proceed to have a very pleasant experience with the owner who speaks perfect english, who proceeds to tell me that he needs the signature pages, and that the form I had for him to sign was fine(UPS guy stated nastily that he couldnt use it). He lets me dig them out, as it looks like he respects the paperwork. Man!!! The difference was like night and day in customer service! How do those people stay in business treating people the way they do?? The least they could do is come to the realization that they are hard to understand due to their thick accents and to not get so testy and nasty and blame the customer for not understanding. Came into this location 30 mins before closing to drop off a return package and the female employee decided to refused to accept my return just as I walked into the door because the ups trunk left and tried to charge me for a storage fee if I decide to leave the return there. Got there four minutes before closing (raced to get there on time since they are the only location in the whole area that was still open) and the door was locked with lights off. The sign showed that they should have been open for four more minutes. Obviously, I would have liked to get there much more in advance of their closing, but work precluded this. From a professionalism standpoint, I believe that a business should be open the hours that it advertises. Furthermore, when I previously went there, the staff members were inconsiderate and seemed annoyed at everyone. :( I hope for their own sake they can turn things around. In contrast, I've been to UPS stores where the staff are super friendly and create a nice neighborhood feel. They even get to know some regulars' names. I went there to do a Amazon drop off (which does not require you to put the items on a box and says that ups will do that for you) After I waited in a long line and got to the front of the line started to take out and process most of my returns. Thinking all they had to do was scan in QR code and that was it but the lady at the counter told me I had to be charged for boxes since the items were not in a box and when I said I didn't want to she rudely said well the items are already taped and put in a box so it was going to be $20 for a large box for my items. I didn't want to hold anyone any longer since the line was out the door so I paid the $20 and left. I wasn't able to process my other items and was extremely unhappy with the service and pricing. I will never come here again and WOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Go the Daly City store way better and no lines. read more

I needed to return an Amazon purchase, and this was the nearest UPS store to where I live. The associate Chris, was EXTREMELY friendly. He walked me through how to access the print label on my Amazon account, because the QR code I was emailed wouldn't suffice for my return transaction. He was kind enough not to charge me for the plastic shipping bag for the dress I was returning, and made the process easy! I come here often because it is close and convenient but only for returns. Also be aware if you don't have everything done prior they charge for everything. I was charged $1+ because I forgot to tape an extra return slip to the box. If you are aware of this it is easy to avoid excess charges but otherwise you'll definitely leave annoyed. Overall the people are friendly and courteous. Regardless charging the extra for a little bit of tape and doing your job is not good for business. read more

I'll echo what everyone else has said on here. The staff is profoundly unhelpful, and completely disinterested in explaining to you what is going on. I printed a label from a website to produce a return. I don't think to check; it's got a barcode, one of those 2D barcodes, my address and the return address. So I go to the place, think it's going to be like every other UPS Store experience I've ever had, where they scan the label and tell you the price (if any). That's not what happened. Instead my package got weighed, and all the info was entered manually. It feels weird to have the person ask you for your phone number when it's literally printed on the label already. She then tells me it will be $14. When I ask why, she says what I have on the package is not a return label, and cannot be a return label, and so she is making one from scratch. I call the retailer over the phone, and the return staff is also surprised. They send me a new return label, and once I see the email I see what happened: the original printout is missing the very bottom of the label. It has the barcodes and everything, but is missing the part at the bottom that has little comments on why the item is being returned. Which isn't relevant to UPS at all. I go back to the desk, and show them what happened (Which, let's be real, is obvious once you point it out). She says its still not a label. I ask her if she can just use the scanner and see if it will work, since there is literally a giant barcode across the page. Nope. It is impossible to send, according to her, because it doesn't have the part of the label that said the garment I was returning was too large. I ask if they really need that. She looks at me and just tells me to leave the package in the corner with the rest of them. So I did, and took a photo of it. Hopefully it shows up where it is supposed to go. TBH, if they had, at any point explained why they couldn't even check, I would have accepted and walked away. But given they offered to let me pay $14 to ship it, and then offered to let me pay to print a new label, and express zero interest or empathy for the customer in any way, it does not feel as if they are trying to help their customers and instead that they are looking for every opportunity to get you to pay for something in the moment. I would not go here if you are looking for any guidance or need to trust the staff's opinion in any way, shape, or form. read more

I came in to drop off my two amazon returns, and I was standing in line looking for the qr code. The older lady called me forward, and I said, just a minute, I'm looking for the code. About 10 seconds later, I stepped forward and said I found it. The older lady appeared to be upset at me and ignored me for about 3 minutes. She fiddled with the cordless phone, organized the papers behind the counter, talked to her partner. When she was good and ready, she processed my 1st return. I stated I had one more, and she walked away. Lol. She came back a minute later and scanned the second return item, thanked me for my patience, then put the return labels on the wrong packages. This UPS store has the rudest older couple I have encountered. They act like they are doing you a favor. I have personally witnessed how quick they are to snap at their customers and can be humiliating to them. Especially and mostly the old lady. The women tried it with me on several occasions but not until I was firm and stood my ground she backed off but I have seen her be so rude to many customers. Always in a rush even when the store is not busy. They are often in the back even though the door has a bell they take a few minutes to come out and 8 out of 10 times she's smacking her lips as she comes out from the back. They don't greet you they just start demanding you box it, tape it, stand over here, over there, and they take the customer behind you if you are not quick enough to pull your wallet/QR code/label. Just rude! And the old lady is quick to provide her unsolicited opinions. There is one Filipino short officer, John something who, for whatever reason is often there running his personal errand...Oh she is a completely different person with him of course. All smiles. I came here because it's the closest to my house. But First I noticed that the Indian couple/owners were trying to help as many people as they can in this tiny 10' x 6' small area! I was patiently waiting for my documents that needed to be faxed when I was horrified how the Indian woman/owner kept touching her mask because it kept falling off her nose to the point that it's down on her chin with her gloves had been touching everyone's paperwork and boxes to be shipped while she's literally talking to this elderly woman customer 3 feet away! They don't provide sanitizers for customers to use so there's a lot of transfer or exchange of droplets period. While waiting there's this Filipino elderly lady trying to send a package to her daughter in Arizona and the Indian Woman owner was telling her it will cost her $271!!! I speak Tagalog so I told the elderly customer what her package should cost a lot less if she sends it through US Postal Service Priority Mail. So the owner got soo angry and started yelling at me for advising the elderly woman who obviously didn't know she's being taken advantage of! And long story short the woman owner started yelling at me to mind my own business. That it's her job to give customers the options of mailing the package (yeah by price gouging??). She asked the elderly if she knows me and of course the elderly said no, and preferred to send her package through this UPS Store. She was too scared to go to the Post Office? The husband/Co owner was softhearted man and was telling his wife to stop yelling at me while she was telling him that it's none of my business (taking advantage of elderly people is part of her business??????). So America--- watch out for your elderly parents or relatives! Especially San Bruno residents--this UPS Store may be providing good service on other things but she needs moral attitude adjustment and as a small business owner she needs to practice social distancing (only allow 5 customers inside the store at a time) and she should wear a mask that fits her and provide sanitizer for store use. Update: UPS sent a second response letting me know that Ups stores are not required to carry the ups envelope for delivery. If you want them you must go to one of the corporate box pick up location. JUST STOP USING UPS. AVOID UPS STORE 0810!! I have sold some tickets on stub hub a handful of times and stub hub includes shipping. The first time I did this was earlier this year(February) and I took it to this store and he kept trying to charge me for shipping. I explained that shipping is already paid for with stub hub and that I just needed to grab a next day envelope. He didn't want to give it to me and told me they were for customers only. I am a customer of ups finally when I threatened to call ups right there he threw it on the counter. I was so put off by it I took the envelope but didn't trust him with the package and left to go to another ups drop off location. I went into the store yesterday to do another stub hub drop (6 months from the first one) and the man and his wife were working in there. I asked the wife for the next day air envelope and she gave it to me but when I tried to mail it out she said it was $1.00 for getting it ready for shipping?! Excuse me but I just asked for the free envelope to put it in there myself and the plastic holder for the ups paper. "Well we don't carry the plastic postage holders if you want the postage attached to the folder it's $1.00". I've never had problems at any other ups stores. The westborough one is great and so is the sunset store. The only reason why I left my envelope after all of this is because a ups package handler was there and I made sure it went out with her. I won't be going back there even though I live less than 2 minutes from the location. The only reason why I attempted this store is because they are open until 7 and other stores are only open until 6:30. I have filed a formal complaint with UPS because the $1.00 fees they are charging are a scam and they won't provide receipts for it. read more

Went here today 8/1/2019 to inquire of their private mailbox rental. I spoke to the Indian guy and I think he is the owner. They are way OVERPRICED! Wanted me to sign-up for 6 months for $40 per month plus $40 setup fee so that's a total of $280 up front! I asked for paperwork and he won't give me any. So SHADY! But, a old lady tried to charge me $20 per bag, because they don't have enough space to take them. It totally doesn't make sense, although they confirmed this store is a UPS STORE, but they need to charge the money to take the UPS-labeled bags! How can this be happened!? Then I found a near UPS store in Millbrae could drop off those bags without any problem and extra charges. I'm thinking now I have to complain this store's problem to the UPS HQ. OMG this is the absolute worst UPS store I've ever been to!! My package was supposed to be held here while I was on vacation, but somehow UPS lost it. I called this store to see if the box was actually physically there since the online tracking said there was a problem. The owner told me they were too busy to check and that I would have to come in personally. The owner then hung up on me and then continued to hang up each time I called back! I was shocked! So I drove all the way to the store where there were only 2 packages being held for any customers in total. It would've taken them 4 seconds to see if my package was there and would've saved me a trip. In addition, there were no other customers in the store at the time and it was completely dead. Not only that, but when I arrived the owner was on the phone and did not smile, look at me, or greet me in anyway while I waited for 15 minutes for her to help me. I go to this UPS all the time. They're great when they're there but they never stay until closing time listed. I've gone many times 10 and even 30 minutes before closing only to find the door locked and lights out.
