Most of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly when interacting. But there is one older male employee I see often when picking up packages who will deliberately ignore me despite being next in line. He's moved registers and has even walked away from the counter completely to avoid assisting me. It gives me an uneasy and unwelcome feeling. Listen up. Not all UPS stores are the same, they are owned independently. THIS LOCATION is the best, the absolute best! I called 3 other stores and all immediately said, no, we can't ship that. As soon as I spoke with Jeriza, I knew I was in great hands. We shipped a 50"x30" painting cross country and they handled it with ease! Jeriza and her co-workers were all wonderful. Given that this is the closest UPS to me, I came here on Saturday, August 2 at 4:26 PM for an Amazon return. There were two young employees: one male employee sitting on a counter and a female employee standing behind the register. I already had my return packed in a shipping box, so I went up to the counter and said that I had an Amazon return, and then proceeded to pull up the QR code on my Amazon app. It took a while for the QR code to come up, and I apologized for the slow internet speed, but the code finally came up and the female employee scanned it. I thanked the employee after she gave me the receipt. While I was walking towards the exit, the male employee loudly said, "What the hell was that?" The female employee responded, "I know, right?" I found those comments to be very rude and disrespectful. If those employees were going to make comments like that, at least they could have waited until I was out the door and long gone. It's the disrespect from employees like them that I'd rather use a self-serve kiosk. As a healthcare professional, I don't treat my patients like that. If the rude and disrespectful customer service continues, I'll be going back to UPS - Lakeshore Plaza in San Francisco where the employees are always much nicer to me. read more

Do Not use lamination service at this location. Your photos or documents will be ruined and will not be salvageable. I am very sad and feel silly trusting their words. I wanted to preserve some precious photos of my kids, and silly me asked the staff if they laminate photos. Staff said yes, and it'll take 20 mins to complete the job. I left the store and returned to laminates with bubbles all the photos. Staff said it's just the way it is because of the photo paper. We attempt to peel off the laminates but it's not possible. If one photo looks crappy like that, they should STOP proceeding with rest of them. Yet, they continued knowing there is problem and it's not reversible. I pressed more and staff said they have no experience laminating photos. To store owner-- if your staff are not trained, or if you know you cannot laminate photos. YOU NEED TO MKE A NOTICE IN THE STORE THAT SAYS "WE DO NOT LAMINATE PHOTOS" and PLEASE TELL YOUR STAFF!!!!!!!!! I know it's hard to run small business but this review is essential before another family lose their irreplaceable memorable photos. read more

Gets the job done but done really expect the best customer service. They'll always insist you do self service first, even when you know you'll actually need their help. You can get passport photos done here but you'll potentially get a better mug shot in jail, so it's not worth the price (which is more than at a Walgreens). read more

I was waiting my turn in line after the lady in front of me struggled to find return bar codes, and was finally up. The guy working the desk let this guy ran in skip the line and go first. I said there was a line, and the guy working ignored me. After the person who skipped the line got his receipt and left I asked why they let that man skip the line. He looked at me vacantly and mumbled something. We all have to deal with the long lines at this UPS, please don't continue to allow people to skip the line and be rude to those us of patently waiting our turn. read more

I usually dread going to the ups store by my job in SF but this time around i went to the south sf location because i was in the area and i am astonished by the quality of care the staff has! The associate (apologies for not getting their name, but they had long dark hair) who helped me today truly went above and beyond my expectations. I had a bit of confusion with my Amazon return where I thought I only had one return code for two items. These items also needed to be packed by the customer (which I had already done). The associate asked "should we just put them both in the same bag?" Then they helped me do that. I left the store and got into my car, but something told me to check the QR codes again. I found the missing QR code, and went back into the store. Luckily the same associate helped me check the new QR code, confirmed it was for the one that they had packed into the same bag, went to get the package from the large bin it was already in, opened it, and made it all right. I am very appreciative and grateful they had the patience to help me course correct this mix up. Thank you so much! read more

The family that owns the store are the stingiest people on the planet! They will try to scam you for things not required for an Amazon return. I ended up paying Amazon to return a package and when I called Amazon they said that was not needed for the return. Scammers! I will be going somewhere else in the future. Response: Too bad UPS is stating something else and being that you are in business with Amazon, it would behove you to treat customers well. Not, try to force them to buy packaging items. This is the closest UPS Store to my house so I find myself continuing to try again out of sheer laziness but they are by far the worst one on the entire peninsula. If you bring them a fully packed and taped parcel and ask to purchase a label, they will give you a price that is 3-4 times more than the most expensive option on ups.com. When you ask them why it's $150 to send a five pound box a child could carry with one hand via normal ground service they make up some nonsense about them needing to add more insurance to it when you bring it to them to pack. When you remind them that you already packed it and it's completely ready to go, they just stare at you. They also really don't like taking Amazon returns and will make up any excuse to get you to go away if you bring them one. They recently installed a new kiosk which is supposed to speed up the process and free the obnoxious owner from having to make up the aforementioned excuses, but making use of it requires you to feel safe just throwing your return on a pile of other returns that sit unattended at the front of the store where anyone can and does walk in and grab them. If you say you're not comfortable leaving your return unattended and ask them to scan it normally then you'll get some utter nonsense about how they can't take it because it's not in a box even when your QR code explicitly indicates it's a label-less return which you are explicitly instructed not to pack by Amazon when you schedule the return. There's no point in arguing with the woman as her English is terrible and she simply doesn't want to be in business. Buy your labels online and take your returns to the one on Hickey or the one in Westlake where they will happily invest the 12 seconds of work into scanning your QR code and handing you a receipt without a bunch of hibbitty-bibbitty babbling nonsense you can't understand. read more

Then she grabs my phone tosses my id on the computer and slams my phone on the counter. Then continue to slam things like the Manila folder and finger scanner. read more

I've always had a good experience going to this UPS store and it's the closest location to my home which makes it very convenient. I will never not complain about how much I dislike driving around the mall and navigating through the parking lot especially during peak hours. It gets very hectic so I'd recommend coming here earlier in the day. I never had a bad experience with the staff at this UPS store and they always greet me when I come to drop off my package and they are very efficient. Never returning to this particular location! Went in to ship a package since I saw a link that an associate scan, print the label free of charge, and ship it off. Easy, right? Upon entering the store, my Barcode was not appearing. Staff asked me if there was something they could scan, but I couldn't find it on my phone. One staff could not assist me with navigating their website to find it. Thus, the option to use their computer for $3 plus per per page printing was given. I was curious if the Scan code would appear in the desktop version instead of my mobile, so I used the computer. After searching around and still not being able to find the scan code, I inquired why it would disappear and if it were a time sensitive issue? The staff told me that since I'm already using the computer, then I should just print since using the computer costs $3 now whether I print anything or not. Wait, what?! When asked for clarification, I was directed to an unclear sign. Went to the library instead for free computer usage. It's understandable to have a base price of $3 in addition to cost per page, but verbally I understood the charge only being applied if I actually printed. They need to correct that sign to state "Make payment for computer use" if it's really a pay whether you print or not policy. read more

Basic UPS store where you can take care of your mailing needs, Amazon returns, and take advantage of notary services. They're fairly efficient at what they do and there usually isn't a line here when I come. However, I had to knock a couple of points off due to a mistake a notary made when we came in to have a passport form notarized. The forms clearly indicate that only black ink should be used to complete the form but this notary filled this out in blue ink. Granted, we also share the blame in not noticing this on our end, but being in a rush to process an application for our son, we overlooked the error. It wasn't until we went to the passport processing center and the person refused to process our application without a correct form did we realize the mistake that had been made. We then had to go back to UPS to get a new form notarized and then bring it back to the passport office to finish processing our application. While this was a simple human error, I would have expected an experienced notary to not have made the mistake in the first place. This is only with the assumption that they process these types of forms often enough to have more experience with these documents than we do. Overall though, this store has met all of our other needs. read more

I had an international package that had a return label from the shipper, I needed a customs form and asked UPS to help me. Their response was, we charge you for that and you get charged for shipping too! Really?? Q:Just Give me the form. The form that comes off the UPS website, then I can fill it out. A:: No.. we have to charge you... Every time I come to this place they give me no alternatives, no options other than pay pay pay pay pay us. There are plenty of other UPS stores that are helpful, in fact I went to Pacifica, they helped me do EVEYTHING. They didn't charge me one penny, free of charge!
