I have been using this ups location for a long time and today i find out mailbox prices and got an amazing deal. I got a mailbox at a much better price than other places were offering in the area. Came to drop off some Amazon returns because I was in the area. I easily found street parking and went inside. The layout is perfect you enter and can quickly be in line. They have a nice supply wall for sale and they have allot of mailboxes too. While I was in line the employee alerted us that the machine in the back can be used for Amazon returns so I went to stand in line for that machine. I wish they had more than one because the man in front of me took a long time and when i looked back at the regular line they had already helped 3 people who were behind me. Anyway after that man finally finished and it was my turn it was simple, scan the bar code from Amazon and then put your item in a plastic bag and seal it with the return slip. The pile of returns isn't secure though so I did worry what happens if someone steals them? I guess at least I have my return slip proof that I dropped it off. Overall an easy experience but they should consider having more than just one return machine. read more

I went to The UPS Store to return a package. I left it untaped because they sometimes have packages opened, untaped, or tape them themselves, so I was unsure how this particular return would be handled. I was told I needed to tape it myself. I asked if I could borrow some tape, but was told no. On a previous visit, I had seen them allow another customer to use their tape. Only time this place runs smoothly is when the Boss is in. As far as his young employees, poor customer service. When in 3times in the span of 24hrs to pickup the package and was told inconsistency each time. First that we needed physical ID (I've picked up mail/packeves w/o physical ID from here before), second that the package was returned (contacted USPS, denied receiving the return), lastly go back to UPS in person the next day and the package is confirmed to be on-site but cannot be released due to not having a mailbox registered. Poor communication from the on-site employees on 7/25 & 7/26, to be specific Alex. Package was not provided to us. Appreciate the owner and conveniance of this location but the young employees need to do better in communicating. read more

This location is horrible. I truly only go here because its close to home, today I went in for both a return & a pick up. The uneducated kid Alex who assisted me first almost hit me in the face with the tape, second he was on the phone the whole time while "helping" me. I said I was also there for a pick up & he whispered " i need your id" so i asked if a photo was okay, he continued to talk on the phone. They actually take care of my items as I would and help immensely with random things outside the interactions at hand. I can't recommend these folks enough and thank you guys for all you do!!! My observations are as follows: Value - none higher, want it done right with the correct hands GO HERE Service - incredible. Every time no matter what, busy / rushing around / empty they are always giving the same smile and wonderful easy way Quality - I deal with collectibles and they are very condition sensitive. Comepletely unprofessional and don't think we should be supporting businesses that don't respect us or see the value in their customers. Forget about the employees, it was the owner Arsen who took my package, was very dismissive and snarky and when I replied with the same snark he completely lost it and started berating me in front of the other customers saying things like "you can't read", I stopped replying and was waiting to pay and he kept going "if you don't like the policy you can leave" at this point I asked him why I had to keep hearing him if I was done with the conversation he told me that because he was the owner he could act however he liked. The owner has always been very helpful and efficient. I'm always on the go so I like how fast the service is. They have been changing staff so sometimes service isn't over the top friendly but I don't care for that just do the job efficiently and effectively and we good. This store has the worst customer service by owner. My husband and I went to this UPS store to get something notarized. Arsen, the owner, notarized this for us. We drove to the Secretary of State in downtown LA where we were submitting our paperwork. When we were submitting they did not accept our notarized document because Arsen's handwriting was illegible. We had to pay for another notarized document since we couldn't drive back to the valley. We called Arsen to let him know and he offered us a credit in his store. I came back to the store to claim the credit while purchasing something else and he told me he needed to see the document he notarized to give us the credit because he did not remember ever telling us that. Today I went back and brought all the documents with me and tried to get our credit once again. Before he spoke with me he was yelling at another customer so by the time I started speaking with him he was already really upset. I explained my situation and asked for our credit. He began yelling at me and asking me to stop talking. At this point there was a huge line and all the people in line could hear what Arsen was yelling at me. He kept telling me "this is my store". I advised him he should stop notarizing documents by handwriting and start typing on the computer because his handwriting is not good. He refused to give me the credit. I asked him to please not yell at me because the conversation should be between us two only and that not everyone at the store needed to hear my business and he started yelling even more. He continued to not allow me to speak. At this point I just left because he said he would not be giving us a credit and that this was his store. Please save yourself some money and do not get any documents notarized here. They will not accept Arsen's hand writing because it is illegible. He is also very rude to his employees, he yells at them and treats them like they are dumb or slow. It's very sad to see someone like Arsen in a position of power where he owns this store and manages people but is mistreating his employees and his customers. I really hope UPS corporate looks into this because we do not need someone like this in our community. Came to this ups store last week and my experience was good. Today I walked in and asked if I could get one strip of tape for my box. The owner went off on me about how he's the owner and he doesn't get paid by Amazon or anywhere else to use his tape! Be prepared to pay $2 for a strip of tape or buy a whole packaging tape! Ridiculous! It's about customer service and nowhere else have I ever been asked to pay to tape something which the service has already been paid for. Never going back. Idk about the negative reviews because I've ALWAYS had positive experiences and received friendly service here. The owner is ALWAYS nice to me-same with my daughter when she's came. I've seen awful customers who I wish would get kicked out but instead the owner try's to still help them-even with a bad attitude. I went here to do a return for Fabletics and had a good experience. It's a nice and clean store. I loved that it's close me. Parking is ok. There's not much in front or behind but if you walk across the street from first st there's a free public parking lot. It was a smooth service and the customer service rep was nice. The owner of the store is a complete as*****. You never see this same two employees when you go in there his turnover rate is so high. Even the drivers say the store's owner is a complete idiot. The only thing good about this location is that you can show up late 6:00 6:30 and the UPS truck will be out back and a good thing is you can give your packages direct to the UPS truck driver and bypass the store all together which is my strategy from now on. read more

Elsa is the BEST!!!! I had the wrong packaging and she helped me out. I ended up cutting myself to take off the initial label I had on the other box and she was very responsive and attentive to my "bloody" needs. Ready with the bandages and all. Bummed because the main UPS terminal (at the end of Arroyo St.) shut down, I had to now visit this UPS store in Sylmar to handle my parcel shipping needs. Quite friendly at first, and THEY recommended bringing in my multiple packages through the back door entrance. Parking is usually horrible and quite treacherous to access when jamming down Maclay Ave. when you (rarely) see an open spot to park anywhere near this UPS store. Very inconvenient if you have multiple packages to bring in. So, I entered through the back door (didn't notice any sign prohibiting me to do so) and immediately got some lip from some employee and the alleged franchise owner, stating that he'll "let it go this time". When I reminded him that it was him suggesting I use the back entrance he had a convenient memory lapse and denied he ever said this, all with an unnecessarily cocky attitude. Really made a simple run-of-the-mill experience something unpleasant and enough for me to take my business elsewhere (highly recommend others do the same). Don't know where this guy got his chops when it comes to running a business, but he better read up on what "customer service" is, why it matters and why it's important. It's customers like me that keep this business going. This blame likewise goes for his sorry employees. Find another UPS franchise that truly understands the meaning of customer service. read more
