I recently took services from this store. Had to print some passport and DL copies and get it notarized. By mistake the notary forgot to return my passport . It was bit chaotic owing to the question whether notaries in CA are allowed/not allowed to actually stamp the copies. In the course of that conversation and in hurry to attend next appt, I forgot to pick my passport and notary too forgot to return. By the time I realized that the passport got left at the store it was past business hours of the store. I found out the actual store email using the internet and emailed it . I also went to UPS site and used the contact us from their website. This is review is regarding their notary services. I went into UPS to get a form notarized. Vitalchek, who was processing my form, stated via email that the notary's name was not printed clearly. I was unable to submit my form because of the notary's error. **This review applies to Amazon returns, which is what I go to this UPS for; I cannot speak to their other services.** I am an avid Amazon shopper and, as a result, end up making returns not infrequently. This UPS store has consistently been there for me in these ways: -The service is fast and efficient -The staff members are pleasant, almost always smiling but not so friendly that you get bogged down in unnecessary conversation -The lines can sometimes get long during the day, so the store added a machine that will let us process Amazon returns on our own. I use the UPS drop off return method where UPS scans a QR code for the return item and they package it up and ship it out. I NEVER have a problem with Amazon returns here. Needed to get something notarized, was told it would be cheaper to print the document myself on their computer so I insert my card, was charged $3.50 but they blocked gmail so I couldn't even access my document so they ended up charging me again and printing it for me and then made multiple errors while notarizing my document. I had to come back at least 3 to 4 times to get it fixed. It's probably my fault for not checking the document but I thought they knew what they were doing. I definitely spent over $20 on the printing and the notary. read more

0 STARS IF I COULD!!!!!!!! Most UPS I go to have some of the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. THIS IS ONE OF THEM. I've been to this place a handful of times as it is close to my work office. I only bring prepaid labels and or packages here. So you'd think it would be a quick service in and out right? (all they have to do is scan the package or provide me with an envelope to seal and ship) I guess the pissy workers here think otherwise. The few times I've been here I always see the workers bickering and arguing with customers while I am waiting in line. That is right, you get to wait in this wonderful line every time due to their terribly slow service. I showed up asking if I could please have 2 next day envelopes (already had the prepaid package) and the worker said no. He said that those envelopes were "exclusively for paper documents only". Ummmm??? It does NOT say that on the envelope, I read it. I also mentioned that I've NEVER had an issue with this for 3+ years. He ignored me and told me the only way to ship this out was to spend money purchasing the shipping boxes they have against the wall. I was trying to ship out two small wristbands to Stubhub. Stubhub has been running for a long time and always used this method of delivery. Talk about a big bag of bullshit coming out from this workers mouth. You bet I walked myself to another UPS store in the area. The lady at the other store was friendly and provided me with the envelope with no issues. NEVER coming back here again. The worst UPS store I've been into in the city. The workers are rude and they always give you attitude. Literally, last time I went to return my amazon orders the guy told me he can't do it for me although he was free and I have to use the machine for my returns. I went back after a while because this is the walking distance from my house and again the girl told me the same thing and when I told her if she can do it for me she paused first and gave me attitude. The owner of this UPS Store, Ivan, just hung up on me. I called because I was having trouble tracking a package on the UPS website that was shipped from his store. Turns out the package in question was not shipped by UPS but USPS. I did not know this. A little back story, I've been patronizing this UPS Store since 2017 and I've never had any issues with anyone at the location. I've been really happy with their services actually and lucky they are convenient to our office. Whenever I go there to have something shipped, whoever is helping me always tells me the quickest and least expensive option and I always just say yes, and I've always just assumed it's UPS service cause that's why I go there. It's a UPS Store. Easy peasy, right? Then, I'm asked to confirm the ship to address and I sign a letter-sized paper that has a lot of stuff on it to read, which I don't, cause if I had to I'd be there for 10 minutes or more and everyone in line would be unhappy with me. Apparently, I SHOULD read everything before signing because that paper is supposed to let me know that my package is NOT being shipped via UPS but USPS instead. Just to be clear, at this point, I wasn't even upset or concerned. He was able to tell me my package had been delivered and I could have tracked it on the USPS website. I told him it wasn't realistic to read everything before signing and wouldn't it be much easier if at the time services were being quoted, that I could be told the service I'm accepting is something other than UPS? Ivan tells me he owns 10 other UPS Store locations and it's my fault that I didn't read the contract before signing but in the future, he'll train his staff to make it clear. At this point, he's making me angry because the way he's talking to me is very condescending and dismissive. I tell him, "Wow, that's very arrogant of you to point out you own so many locations just to let me know it's my fault." He returns by saying, "Well, I find it incredulous that you (me) are so upset. I told you your package was delivered. Why is it such a big deal?" I told him, well, it IS a big deal. I've been going to your store for two years and this has never happened before. I just want to make it right the next time. If you don't want me coming to your store anymore then I won't. At that, he said it was fine by him and hung up. I guess I won't then. It's sad when things like this happen. To Ivan, I was making too big a deal when all I was trying to do was make sure it didn't happen again. Sad that I feel I can't go to this UPS Store anymore. Especially, since I really liked the place. I'll be setting up a business account with UPS and deal with them directly. I can start going to the Rincon Post Office again too. At least I know what to expect over there. Hope this is helpful to other customers. Edit: I forgot to mention one thing. There was an Asian guy that worked there that I haven't seen my last two visits. Thought he looked Filipino but maybe another ethnicity. I ordered a single, one-sided color tabloid page to be printed and was set to be ready 2pm the next day. I visited this location 5pm the next day to find that this wasn't printed yet. The employee stated they were understaffed. I figured this was no big deal. It shouldn't take long to print 1 page right? Wrong. After 45 minutes of multiple print attempts and a call to the technician to determine what settings to use, I still haven't gotten my single sheet of paper. Five star rating because of five star service from Samir! I needed to ship a large object to Southern California, so I called a number of Fedex and UPS locations to determine which one could handle my shipment. After calling the first three, I started fearing that this was not going to be easy. At each of the first three locations that I called, I was given vague answers to my direct questions, which caused me to keep searching. My fourth call was to the UPS store on Howard Street; Samir was the person I spoke with. I went through the same explanation of the type of package I needed to send and, instead of a vague response, Samir asked very direct questions about the item. His questions inspired my confidence and a short time later I arrived at the store. He processed my order is an amazing efficient and friendly manner; rushed to process things so that it could go out the same day. He even cut the cost by 15% by asking if I had AAA. Absolutely incompetent. I paid almost 80 dollars to have a small package delivered overnight by 830 the next day. I also paid almost 80 dollars to have a pre-addressed and pre-paid return envelope included. The item was scanned and then mysteriously never picked up. Needless to say it was not delivered on time. When I went to the store the next day to inquire about what happened, I was told that the item was probably picked up and either on its way without being scanned or lost on a truck. Mysteriously, about 30 minutes after my second visit asking what happened, the package that should have been sent the day before was suddenly scanned an on a truck to be shipped to where it needed to go, already a day too late. It looks like they charged me for the overnight expedited service, created the label, and then never actually put my package on the truck the day it was supposed to go out, and had apparently no intention of making sure the item shipped at all until I went back the second day to complain. I work in the area and will never use this UPS store for any services although to be quite honest I will probably never use UPS for anything again anyway. read more

FINGERPRINTING SERVICES REVIEW: I needed quick fingerprinting for a job - the bank I work for only has certain places they will let you use and once you get the paperwork. They want the "chain of command" paperwork to be swift. Once you chose the place you are getting it done and print out that form, you MUST go to that fixed location. This store as it was listed as an option about 10 blocks away - so it was fairly close. (I actually had done some Notary stuff there before). I rushed over there to get this task done, and their fingerprinting machine is "out for repair" - Tell me people in this digital age can't computers know that kind of stuff and turn them off as an option? UPS store should be pro-active in letting the places they get their business from that they are offline. If it is urgent - go someplace that ONLY does fingerprinting and notary and you will have more success as they will have back-up. There is one older middle eastern or Indian man working here that is hell belt on ruining your day. I primarily shop online and went in here to send a return. The guy said he could not ship my package because the package it was in didn't have one of those self-adhesives. Absolute nonsense. I've shipped hundreds of packages at UPS (all other stores in the city) where they tape it up, and stick my label on and all is good. Never had a problem before. Not only was this rude it was wasteful as he was trying to get me to buy one of their packages when I already had a pefrectly good one. I walked over to the nearest next UPS store and the guy working there was super kind and took care of it for me just like everywhere else. Avoid this location at all costs. They are more interested in enforcing arbitrary and unnecessary rules than helping a customer. I hope he is fired, how rude he was to me. I'm a regular here as I often ship stuff overseas, especially to weird foreign destinations in far flung countries and the addresses and codes can get tricky and other stores have messed it up. I totally have different experience every time I go there. Nothing but pleasant and get the job done as soon as they can be done. Horrible customer service experience with Ivan Resnikoff. Employee said package with prepaid label didn't meet package standards that weren't posted and when I requested to see, couldn't find them. Attempted to charge me for repacking and before I could even respond, ripped into my package(think this is against the law)and damaged my belongings. Then proceeded to throw my package outside. I don't know how a place like this can even call itself a ups store. They obviously don't want to accept prepaid labels and attempt to charge unnecessary fees to customers. Very unethical place.
