    Proof of correct weight, shipment, and an incorrect shipping cost adjustment based on a false weight

    I'm posting this review to warn others about a serious issue I experienced at this UPS Store involving a questionable shipping weight adjustment. This is the second time I've reported this location in about five years. I shipped a lightweight golf bag that was accurately weighed at 4 lb 11 oz. I took photos of the item, the packaging, and the box on the scale (see attached photos), and I received a UPS receipt confirming that weight at drop-off. Despite this, UPS later sent a "price adjustment" email, claiming the package weighed 18 lb, which is completely inconsistent with the item shipped and the documentation provided. I have formally reported this issue to both the selling platform and UPS, and I am escalating it further with The UPS Corporate Fraud and Compliance Department and consumer protection authorities, such as: -The State Attorney General's Office; -The local Consumer Protection Agency; -The Better Business Bureau (BBB); -The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) I strongly recommend that customers document everything with photos and keep their UPS shipping receipt for at least 6 months (and ideally up to 12 months) in case of issues.

    This place offers prompt and attentive service. They are diligent and the weight is very prompt as well as compared to most of the UPS stores. Easy parking garage right across the way print services shipping services mailing services. Also they have a notary.

    This location, like most UPS stores, is on a main thoroughfare however this particular store is surrounded by lots of general parking meters. Chances are good you won't have to circle, a big plus. So I drove over this huge flat of a box going back to Amazon and they greeted me, scanned the 4' tall flat and sent me on my way with a receipt within 20 seconds. They have a small business center and mailboxes for rent. The entrance is "garden level", down two small sets of stairs, but they also have disabled access with elevator to the right of the main door. It's the easiest UPS store to use because of the plentiful meters all around that'll minimize your chances of getting a DPT ticket. And you can pop in to Nijiya Market across the street, bonus.

    I tried shipping a magazine which was sold by the publisher in a thick rigid box. The clerk upsold me on a bubble mailer claiming the package wasn't protected enough to ship. Just because a box is colorful doesn't mean it fails these mysterious UPS packaging standards. This location wants to sell more boxes and mailers, plain and simple. I guess I'll find a new drop off spot like a Walgreens who will ship the package that you hand them. Edit to respond to response: the tape issue could have been resolved with... a piece of tape. Wish the clerk communicated it was a tape issue. I don't know what a bust seal is, google know doesn't either.

    They charge $5 to print a UPS shipping label. I hope Amazon puts all UPS stores out of business.

    3rd unpleasant interaction with Audrey today (1st time writing about it): GoPost Urgent Package…read morePick-Up notice in PO Box; stood in line 10 minutes. When 3rd attendant--older woman in glasses named Audrey--sat down, woman behind me said I could pick my package up at her counter. I stepped out of line and waited for a man engaged in a long conversation with Audrey; when he finally finished and walked away, I approached, showed my slip, and asked if I could pick it up at her counter. Audrey, looking extremely irritated, replied in a rude tone, 'No. You have to wait in the line.' Later, a postal employee appeared like an angel asking if anyone had packages to pick up; I showed him my slip and asked if he was able help with it. He told me he could, met me in the main hall, escortied me to a scanning machine, entered the code and showed me the holding locker where my package nestled--very kind, pleasant, patient. I returned to the front counter to ask Audrey (when finished with a client) why she instructed me to unnecessarily stand in line instead of simply explaining where the package could be picked up self-service. She pretended not to understand the question, then lamely replied she thought I'd missed the pick-up date. I said that wasn't the case, so she lied and claimed she'd been in the middle of helping someone else--I said the gentleman had already stepped away from the counter when I stepped forward to ask her help. She continued to insist she was still helping him, then dismissed me (again) by turning away and calling the next person in line. No responsibility or apology plus an unfriendly tone the entire time. 1 star (really none) for Audrey's beaurocratic petty power. 5 stars for the young man who was friendly and helpful.

    In 8 years, I have literally never been to this location and been able to leave in under 40…read moreminutes. There's usually one to two employees max and always 7+ people in line. Hardly anything is automated, there's no quick drop off lane. They're stingy about helping you out with tape, they don't help out elderly when they're struggling to do something. Absolute nightmare.
