I recently needed to fax a copy of my driver's license to apply for a copy of my birth certificate. I also needed another document scanned and emailed to a lawyer. I was able to get both done quickly at this location. I cost me less than $5. My receipt is proof of the transactions, so if either business says they did not receive the copies, UPS would honor the receipt and resend the documents. I also went here several years ago to redo my fingerprint card, which I needed for my employment. The office is small. There are two lines that move quickly. Redheaded lady over charged me by $7 because she print out 5 copy paper sheets that should've cost 30 cents each to print and claimed it was "store policy" to charge $4 for labels when all she did was print out a black and white copy that doesn't even stick to the box and i need to tape on. The employees at the UPS Store have always been very nice, polite, and businesslike, until the witch i met up with today. It was about 11:15 and she was working the self kiosks. I was confused as to what to do. She dumped one of my returns envelopes upside down and my return fell out on the table when I asked her if the envelope was okay. She was trying to show me that it wasn't taped shut (which, of course, I knew), instead of using her words and explaining it to me in a polite manner. She acted disgusted that I dared ask her any questions. She should not, in my opinion, be working with the public with the attitude she expressed today. read more

I arrived with a prepaid shipping label and the box that the item I wanted to return came packaged in. I was told that the item needed to be packaged differently (Although last time this UPS Store put the same item in a clear bag!) and that they charge $3.99 for a shipping pouch. To avoid that expense, I drove two miles home to find a box. When I returned, I was THEN told they charge $3.99 to tape the box that I was providing! I was not told that before I headed home for the box although the woman was well aware that I was trying to save money; I already had told her so when she had tried to sell me a pouch! I returned with my box for the second time, which I taped with my own tape to avoid the excessive $3.99 taping charge, and asked to speak with the manager, Adam. Of course I was annoyed; you would be, too. In a nutshell, without ever smiling, he said EVERYTHING was MY fault COMPLETELY because I should have read the small sign that was posted describing their charges. I told him that his worker never said anything at all to me about a $3.99 taping cost--and it was her job to bring that to any customer's attention in a timely manner. I did not see that sign because people were in front of me the first time I arrived, it takes that much more time to read, and people want to get in and out. What I am taking away is that 1) Adam cares about $, not customer service. 2) He practices reaction "management", not preventive management. 3) He does not hold his employees to a high moral standard. 4) He did not apologize for anything--my time and inconvenience, misunderstanding, clerks who are unwilling and untrained to be upfront...ANYTHING. Instead, he said that I was not welcome to return. I told him that was fine with me, that the people of this community deserve a lot more respect and quality customer service than what I received, and that he should be ashamed of what he is doing. Perhaps this UPS Store should go into the business of selling tape and not bother with shipping; considering what they charge for tape, they could survive on that gouge alone. read more

Don't get business cards from these careless people. The design work is not very good, they misspelled a common word, and did not offer anything when the cards were useless. Vista Print online is better. You can write up and design the card yourself at a much lower price. I paid $50 for 50 cards and when they were not typed up right, they said it was my fault. Last time I was at USPS, the U.S. postal "service," I was treated very rudely -- and not just I. One particular employee was, simply, a jerk. To everyone. This week, when I had a package of books (written and autographed by me, so very important to me) to ship to Ohio, I decided to try UPS, Universal Parcel Service. Boy am I glad! The place was very busy -- it's more than a UPS -- however all the employees were very friendly but also efficient. The young man who waited on me, Rique (if I remember correctly), was, to repeat, friendly but also efficient. He took the necessary time to get my package properly labeled and to give me the detailed receipt with the estimated arrival date and everything. To sum up, this is a great place, and the UPS Store is now my first choice for mailing packages. read more

I waited in line at the local UPS store for 20 minutes today for Notary service. When it was my time at the que I was asked if I had an appointment. An appointment? A decade and 1/2 of dealing with this outfit and now I need an appointment? Where's the sign, out front preferably, that you need an appointment? OK? Can I wait? (I see the Notary station is empty.) "Our next app't is t'mw around noon. What do you need Notarized?" What does that have to do with an appointment? I have a single sheet of paper in my hand. "A document" said I. "What is the name of the document" says the Clerk. She hands me an appointment card and asks me to call the number on the back if I change my mind. This used to be a pretty useful place with great customer service and helpful employees but lately, mainly because of the high turnover of employees, it's just like going to the post office. I never know what I'm going to get. When there's a long line of customers, there's usually just one employee out front trying to get to everyone. But I've walked in when it's completely empty and that's when I often see a second employee out front. Where's all this extra help when there are more than a couple people in line? The whole point of coming here to mail packages is to AVOID the long lines at the post office. I recently tried to get several important documents notarized. Some of them needed a couple of witnesses as well but their notary stated flatly that it would be impossible for him to get two witnesses. I found it hard to believe since there were at least TWO other store employees there at the time. But because he appeared disinterested and in a rush, we told him we would just look elsewhere. So he slammed his record book shut and walked off without saying a word. So much for customer service! I go here because I've rented box from them for many years. I don't use them for anything else and maybe that's just as well. If I wanted to stand in long lines and be ignored, I'll just go next door to the post office! read more

My wife and I have had a box at the ups store since we moved to S V. The management there has a knack for hiring top tier employees. The entire staff goes the extra mile for their customers. My experience here completely depends on the agents working that day. One day, the line will be out the door and the agents pay no attention to customers cutting line, letting people to the front for no reason when everyone else is patient. I asked the agent why he did this after I had been there 20 min and he let a woman cut ahead of 10 other people in line. I was told " I'm too busy to worry about it." Um ok. Glad you're busy, but everyone in line is busy too, yet we're not cutting. Other times I get great staff. These people are organized, get the line moving, can use their computer systems correctly etc.. Other shifts- the agents look like they've never seen a computer before , have zero sense o urgency and have no customer service skills. read more
