Hate to hate on a small business franchise, but this location lies to encourage you to spend more. I had a box that was picture framed size - definitely bigger dimensions, but not huge, and also flat and very light. They said the cheapest they could ship was $54. I politely declined, stating that was worth the extra trip to the post office. She said, "oh, I've got the post office rates right here. The cheapest they'll do it for you is $124." I balked. That didn't sound right at all. She assured me they were the cheapest by far. I went to the post office. $25. I told the Post Office Clerk what they claimed USPS would charge and he said he hears those stories all the time, and he wished they weren't allowed to lie like that. I won't go back. I've lived in other towns where the local UPS franchise was wonderful, kind, and helpful. This isn't that. read more

Have a personal mailbox, seems like nothing but problems and have only had it for approximately 1.5 months so far out of the 6 paid. The latest issue is they delivered damaged goods, employee wouldn't even make eye contact when handing the package over. Come to find out, the UPS company, in order to file a claim, wants you to contact the originating shipping company, then retain the package, packing material and items and proof of value. The sticker on outside of box said the store received it in good condition. The damages to the box were just right for a hand to fit in and feel around and grab something without actually opening it. Since this store -per their data- received my box in good condition and then it was turned over to me ripped and missing items, I find the policy of contacting the original shipping company ludicrous. Cannot in good faith recommend this location to anyone. They are extremely disorganized to the point that it will adversely affect everything you do for business at this particular location. read more

Customer service. Sam (heavy set woman with long pink hair) should be less snarky and rude, if I was doing something wrong nicely say so. Not shouting across the store in a rude tone. Even after the first bad visit I sadly had to come back and have yet another with the same person, she noticed me come in and made a snarky comment. I'm so angry right now. I've been a UPS patron for 25+ years and never experienced anything like what happened today. I went in to mail a friend a $20 birthday gift. It was in a box, wrapped, and needed to be wrapped in shipping paper or a similar sized box. The clerk said she had a small box that would fit (no mention of cost or "packing fees). I anticipated paying $2-4 for the box. She haphazardly put one piece of tape on the bottom of the box, then put my box inside, and closed and taped the other end. Although the box was larger than mine, she didn't add anything to cushion the inside box. It was $15.27 to ship, then I was charged another $24.55 for PACKING SERVICES!!!! WTH?!?! $25 for her to use a small box and 2 pieces of tape thrown askew onto the box?!?! Absolutely absurd. If there was not a line out the door, I would have told them to keep their box and give me my package back. Not to mention, people should not be at a register/customer counter who have limited computer, spelling, and customer service skills. I'm planning to email the corporate office, but need time to cool my keys first. I highly discourage this location. read more

Zero rating if I could. I have used this UPS store off Bucklin Hill and Silverdale Way numerous times for sending items and have had more issues than not. Several times they were "closed" well before their posted times. 3pm is an unrealistic time to close on a weekday when it's posted 6:30. Twice there were employees inside but they were just standing there and wouldn't let me in. I'm sure they were busy and closed so they could finish but that's ridiculous. I dropped off several packages last week (Tuesday) and as of today (Monday) they just shipped out. That's a week!!! One of them as an overnight package that should have been delivered last week. This UPS store wanted to charge me $40 for a package I was picking up. In another occasion, the staff tried to make me buy a box to put my Amazon return in which was already in a box. Advice: if you have Amazon returns, go to Kohl's where the returns are free and the staff is excellent, unlike this piss poor UPS store. read more

We do not use this store a lot. But today we went in around 1pm. Customer after customer came in until there was a full lobby. You would think it would have taken a long time and/or there would be cranky staff. Just the opposite the two staff were quick, efficient and friendly. Was in and out in five minutes if that. Last week I went to the Silverdale store to inquire about notary services. I was told to come back another day earlier when there would be more employees available to assist with the notary process, also confirmed that they do assist as witnesses for notarizing documents, but didn't have the two needed available. I thought that it would be helpful and convenient to hire both a notary and witnesses at the same place; to have everything done there. I scheduled another appointment with UPS, called and confirmed, and arrived that day with my agent. To my surprise, the employees who were there at the time spoke and acted rudely, and practically scolded us for not having brought our own witnesses. I reiterated that I had an appointment and had everything previously confirmed. We asked for the manager and the rudest of them said that she was the manager and refused to give us her name. We were shocked to have been treated so disrespectfully and callously. I admit I got upset for being made to feel like I had done something wrong, and responded to her in kind. But her demeanor and disrespectful attitude were uncalled for and she should have acted at least somewhat professional and should have apologized for the inconvenience. So my review isn't necessarily of this store, but of UPS itself. I live in an apartment that is relatively simple to navigate. Once, I pulled into my parking lot right behind a driver, watched him park outside my building, and hoping to catch him on the way up to my apartment, went inside. As soon as I put my key in the door, I got notified my package was undeliverable. Called customer service, who put me though to dispatch and they sent him right back, and he slammed my box against my door, and sprinted back to his truck before I could confront him on the dent he left in the box. A second time, I ordered pants. I went out to get breakfast, came back to a note that said they'd take it to an access point. I specifically set the instructions to leave it at the door, and no signature was required. It was never taken there, and has since been lost, and STILL has not been located after 2 months. For this package I had the privilege of paying 5.99 for them to deliver to this office which is around the corner from where I work, but of course after I requested this change, it got lost. Still haven't been refunded. Of course that was before the package got lost in a 2 mile distance from my apartment to this office. I'd love to just have all my packages sent to this office because it's a 2 minute walk from my office, but I despise having to pay for the option. FedEx and USPS do it for free, just saying. A third time, on New Year's Eve eve, we were home all day and excitedly awaiting a package. At 3:30 I was notified that the package address was incomplete. When I went online to update it, it was indeed complete with apartment number and all. Needless to say, once I updated it, it now has the apartment number twice. I call customer service to ask what's going on, and I am reassured the representative updated the address (I did that, but thanks). She also tells me it will be delivered tomorrow. Which is false. I still await my T-Mobile internet modem. The address was already accurate, but the driver made zero attempt to deliver. Don't piss on me and call it rain. This type of stuff is extremely infuriating as I am only off on the weekends and have very little time to deal with these frequent failures and often time have just opted to refuse delivery or allow the item to be sent back for a refund so I can purchase through Amazon or any other company who uses USPS or FedEx. Not once have I had these issues with these companies. Now, there is one gentleman who drives this route who should be commended for consistently doing an amazing job. He even went as far to call my office when I wasn't home to receive a "signature required" package, so I happily drove to where he is and collected it. That man is the sole redeeming quality of this bumbling behemoth of a company. I'm to the point that I am going to actively seek shipping from companies other than UPS because if I were a gambling man, I'd put money down that there will be an issue with my delivery. I've attempted to contact UPS directly to air my grievances, but am met with cold indifference and "we'll look into it". Nah, bunk that. I'll take my business elsewhere. If my company logistics manager didn't use UPS so frequently(and I'm begging her to switch to FedEx because UPS has failed us frequently as well), I'd never use them. Now, the few times I've been in this office, they were quick, and super helpful. Only once or twice did I have a representative tell me a package wasn't there when it indeed was, which also infuriated me to no end...like I'd walk in app and status in hand and just lie about a package. I shipped a package for work at Bucklin Hill UPS store, paying the premium for the fragile goods to be packaged by the staff in the store. The staff said they would get the packaging in stock later that day and would take care of my package then. A week after my UPS 3-day package was supposed to be delivered, I discovered the package had never been shipped. I called the store, and they looked around in back and found my items, still not packaged! They said they'd send it UPS ground, and failed to acknowledge they kept my package for over a week. They would not expedite the shipment, or refund. I had to drive down to the store to get my things back, and took it to the competitor across town and had it safely delivered two business days later. The store manager refused to refund me for the delivery service or the packaging, neither of which they delivered. VISA took care of the fraudulent charge for me. read more

Silverdale UPS store Saturday 1/22/2022 -- After waiting in line for approximately 20 minutes, employee decided to close the store in order to "catch up". All customers in line were told to come back in 30-45 minutes. If it was necessary to close the store mid-day, then they should have locked the doors and helped all the customers in line and then caught up. I will drive to the UPS store on McWilliams in Bremerton FROM THIS DAY FORWARD. Better yet, go to the USPS. They never close their doors and turn away customers during business hours. read more

Do NOT rent a box here for your mail if you ever anticipate having to forward the contents. This store staff has been terrible in forwarding my mail. I've called, I've emailed and in six weeks I've received 1 shipment. You cannot put in a post office forwarding request for a UPS box, so you are at their mercy. By phone, the clerks either do not relay the request to the manager, or I'm told they'll do it "when they get around to it." By email -- absolutely no response. I am so frustrated. This UPS Store in Silverdale prioritizes saving money for themselves by having bare bones staff at the expense of customer service. Not only do they have one person working on Sunday, that person is as incompetent as can be, causing the line of customers to get longer and longer while the employee wanders around the store clueless. No common sense and customer communication whatsoever like "I'm sorry for the wait, I'll be with you shortly" or pausing the more complex transactions to first deal with customers with quick transactions. I would rate this zero stars if I could. Once the nice hardworking crew left I didn't feel comfortable going into the store. There is a somewhat not so nice supervisor who when I last went into the store back in December looked angry & had her arms folded. The other employee seemed scared & nervous. I definitely noticed a change in the store environment once I entered & I was uncomfortable. A word of warning: UPS customers when you decide to no longer continue with your mailbox renewal make sure you contact all of the institutions to insure you get ALL OF YOUR MAIL. UPS store will more than likely throw it out! And the staff sure won't tell you this. But they're eager to take your money! Self centered. I miss the old crew: PQ, her friend ( didn't know what his name was) whenever I would come into the store I received excellent service by them, however after the former crew left it felt very much like it was a hostile environment, that new clerk who helped me that day I came in was scared, thats what happens when you work with another person who is abusive, I know the signs & have experienced this very thing. I'll sure miss PQ hope she moved on to a better job. I sure understand why she left. The Silverdale store closed for one day Dec 27th.
