The person I had to deal with today was a true test to my sanity. I could have thought it was me, but I heard her arguing with another customer. I understand if policies change, I understand if processes change, I understand that some people might have a bad day. BUT what in the total teat was that? Embarrassing me in front of everyone in the store was so wrong on many levels. Was I upset? Yep, when you refused to talk to me or actually hear anything I was saying. I'm sure it showed. Not once would the yappity angry woman stop talking long enough to have real dialogue. The problem - she is blaming Amazon and me. She wouldn't even look at the email sent from the UPS Store, by the the UPS Store that had nothing about Amazon in it. She refused. I just wanted to understand. She told me to call Amazon. So I countered, does Amazon normally answer questions about the UPS Store emails? That seems odd. She wouldn't even print my label until I listened to all her vile words first. She made that clear. I asked two times "please print my label so I could leave" and she said she would after she was done explaining everything for the third time (in a condescending tone) and I could leave if I didn't let her. She even said "have a nice day" sarcastically and angrily when I said, could I please pay for my Label. Yeah Customer Service at its finest. Again, I could think it was a me problem and I was emitting some sort of "please accost me" vibe, but I saw her handle another customer just as unprofessionally. Now, did she actually return my package or throw it away? I guess time will tell. read more

Went in today to ship a few things and asked for a 12x12x12 box and was told the cost was $8.03. The lady next to me had something packaged and she was shocked to hear her box was $12.00. THIS IS NOT INFLATION THIS IS PRICE GOUGING. This is something I am hearing more and more about since we have had some bad inflation. I called Staples and their price was $2.20 for the same box, I bought mine at Walmart for $1.00. They just lost my business for EVER!!! and I hope the rest of the patrons will open their eyes and see this for what it is and not do business with greedy store owners. I called the manager and she just sluffed me off. read more

I had to use the UPS store on Francis today in Spokane and Amber helped me I had a bunch of paperwork to fax and scan and email and mail. It was really busy and she was very good at her job multitasking helping me as well as all the other customers. read more

Horrible, I just went to send a package and was charged two dollars for tape, and two dollars for him to put candy in a box when I went back in to ask what the charges were the gentleman was very rude will never go back. read more

I don't normally write bad reviews. In fact, I created this account a while ago to make a complaint and then decided not to. And on the rare occasion I email a company over an issue I don't typically name names. But this is changing today. I first went to my usual UPS Store on Division for the notary service that I needed today. The lovely girl there told me that their notary wasn't in until 11a. but that there should be one at the Francis Store. I used to work for a UPS Store, and I understand. So without fuss I drove over to Francis rather than wait and come back. There was one other customer when I arrived. Erich, the employee, asked the customer what was in the box and when she didn't know opened it up to look. That is 100% not standard. The only time we look is when the customer is purchasing lots of insurance and then there are precautions we take to prevent fraud. Otherwise we just say that there are gifts or household items in the box. But that's not the problem. Erich received a phone call from a customer who had questions about a package that had been returned. But this is also not the problem. I commiserated with him and let him know that I used to work at a UPS Store and I know how it goes. What follows next is unfathomable. The notary service went fine. I told him I just needed the legal documents that were just signed mailed via First Class mail in the pre addressed manila envelope provided by the attorney and that I needed tracking, but no signature as it is going to a Post Office Box. Erich got out a UPS Store envelope and tried to put everything in that. Problem. UPS does not deliver to Post Office Boxes. That fact is one of the reasons a UPS mailbox is superior to a Post Office box, as you can get mail and packages from any and all services. As I continued to protest, he told me my shipment would be $14.95. He then told me he could use Priority Mail but it would be even more. As of right now the flat rate envelope that comes with tracking is $6.70. I told him again that I just wanted First Class with tracking. He remained hung up on the UPS envelope and went and got a handful of peanuts to put in the envelope to make it into a package to get the price down? What? (My hand to God this is what he said.) He explained to me that if he sent it as is the Post Office would get confused and send it back. Yes, he's claiming that the Post Office would be confused by a plain manila envelope addressed to a Post Office Box. He said that it needed to go in the UPS branded envelope and that the printed label would say First Class mail and it would be fine. Again, the Post Office does NOT accept UPS shipments. Nor do they need things to be in private courier labelled packaging. This is a recipe for confusion, given how quickly everything is sorted. My patience was gone by this time. I told him I worked for one of the top revenue stores in Washington State for three years and that all of this was simply not true. At this point there were at least five other people in the store witnessing these lies. I asked him to just ring me for notary and I'd go to the Post Office to mail my item. (This has been a long, drawn out legal process and I simply don't have the bandwidth to have these documents lost or misdirected.) Erich continued to argue with me and I had to request several times that he just ring me for notary. I don't know if he's new, stupid, on meth (a handful of peanuts to make it cheaper? Really?), or the worst con artist in the world, but the fact remains. He needs to be fired. And if he's the owner he will be out of business very soon. I went to the Post Office in Hillyard where the staff has always been lovely and today was no exception. And I was charged only $3.50 for First Class mail with tracking. read more
