I came last Saturday and around 4pm and the two ladies who helped me are so fast (one has a straight hair and the tall lady have a curly hair) . They know how to multi task and ready to help. This UPS Store location has no customer service and I will never be returning. I'm not one to ever complain, since I've been in customer service for years but I was so irritated after leaving this location and there is definitely no excuse for their rude attitudes. First, walking into this location there were no other customers in the store. You would expect a warm welcome from any of the FIVE employees standing around a computer in the lobby, but no... No one said a word. Eventually someone walked over to the counter and asked if I had a drop-off. I kindly asked if the man could tape my package since the box kept opening up, he yelled back to another man asking if they had any tape. Umm WHAT? You're an UPS Store... You don't have any tape? Awkward. Another man then came over and rudely told me that my package was a USPS and that I need to take it to the post office, and that they don't accept USPS here. I find this very odd since it actually says on their locations website that they do and I send USPS packages through multiple other UPS Stores a couple times a week, his excuse was that they are Franchise and they have different rules. He then said that he would take it for me this one time, but next time I need to go to the post office. (Like he's doing me a favor? LOL) How about just do your damn job. He also said that the USPS man had already came by to pick up their mail so it wouldn't be shipped until tomorrow... So you do accept USPS? Clearly because if not then there wouldn't be someone picking up for them. He then tried to put my package (without being taped, like I asked) in their outgoing slot. These employees made something that could have been such a quick encounter into this huge deal because they didn't want to do their jobs. Literally, all you have to do is put the Pre-Paid label on the already packaged box and you're done, what is so hard about that? I ended up taking my package back and I will be dropping it off at my normal UPS Store on the Alameda in San Jose, maybe the owner of this franchise should send his lazy and rude staff over there to be retrained and learn what real customer service is. read more

I will not be coming back to this store. The person who helped me has no customer service or listening skills what so ever. First, I didn't realize they charged for tape. I think the clerk could have explained it a little more clearly and professionally than he did. (He mumbled while he rambled about having the box taped and ready before I get to the counter while he put three pieces of tape on the box.) Had he explained the policy like a professional, I would have grabbed some tape. Instead he mumbled and told me I now know for next time. I said I didn't want to use usps because they broke the items I shipped before.... He printed a label for usps anyways. When i reviewed the label and said i told him i didn't want usps he said "so you want insurance on it then?" I told him forget it and paid. He said "well i saved you some money." I really didn't care how much more it was to ship by ups, I just want my mother's birthday to get there finally in one piece. He handed me my receipt and paper then took my box off the scale and walked away. No thank you. No have a good day. Nothing at all. I stood there for a sec because i didn't know if the transaction was done. I left feeling aggravated and flustered. Never again. read more

I'm often here picking up mail for one of my clients. They do a brisk business here but I've never had to wait more than a few minutes. Often, the wonderful store clerks have my packages ready before I even approach the counter. Definitely a great place to mail packages or keep a P.O. box. Shane and the other store staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. They're good people. One note on parking: the lot can be a bit crazy with all the shoppers coming and going. We parked our car in front of Rami V (our favorite Thai restaurant in the South Bay) to only find out they had permanently closed. We decided to leave to find another place to dine, and noticed we were blocked perpendicularly by a UPS truck directly from behind. I came into the store to ask if the driver of the vehicle could possibly move their truck. The package handler speculated it was a specific individual, and called for them. The package delivery driver's response was, "I'm blocking no body." Then proceeded to repeat themselves while walking outside, stating, "You can get out! Where's your car?" I pointed in the direction of where the car was. They abrasively instructed for us to pull out of the spot. It took a few of minutes because there was minimal space between back end of our car to the side the driver's truck. The time to get out could have been faster as well as much easier if they had parked their truck elsewhere. Rather the experience could have been more pleasant or at least decent given the driver could have taken a moment to move their truck a few feet back or front for us to leave accordingly. There was no compassion. No apology for the unnecessary attitude. No basic customer service skills. Was disappointed that Rami V shut down. More disappointed that the package delivery driver emitted such a poor reaction to a simple solution. read more

She went out of her way to condense them into one box and then make that box as small as possible to help save me a ton on shipping costs. She was really helpful and polite and will make me want to return to this specific UPS location. read more

UPDATE: This package was shipped via first-class mail at the post office for $23.50. That's $100 cheaper than the cheapest price this UPS store quoted me. They can talk all they want about faster service etc... I explicitly told the employee that delivery time is not critical and I would like the best price. Again I stand by my recommendation that you may want to do some research before shipping with UPS store. Ripoff is not an unwarranted description. And if you need to overnight something then sure it will be expensive but that was not the case here. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This place is a complete ripoff for shipping packages. I don't know if the store is incompetent or if they think the customer is stupid or some combination of the two. I went to this store to ship a small package overseas. They quoted me $123 and that was the cheapest they could offer. The actual cost to ship this package averages about $35 amongst various carriers. Why the huge mark up? Please be aware you can go directly to a FedEx or UPS shipping center or even the post office and the cost is about 30% of what this UPS store is charging. I gave two stars instead of one because I've been in here before for passport photos and other things and they are OK but don't ever ship anything here. read more

UPS is great for getting my Amazon orders to my house. But wow, this store is a totally different beast. Not sure why UPS allows them to franchise to these people. The owner has absolutely no respect for people. Charges up the beads for packaging. Now here's the story: I shipped my computer with these people and I paid almost $100 to have them package it. You would think paying that much they would try their best to make sure your package gets to its destination undamaged. Not the case, the eBay buyer that purchased my item received the computer completely damaged. I bought the "insurance" as well with my shipping order, brought it to the attention to the owner, and he denied responsibility for the damage. Instead he said I must've shipped it damaged already. Twilight zone feeling kicked in. Then he tried to make admit that it's my fault that it's broken. Then when I didn't do that, he said call UPS. End of story, I'm down almost $2000 and broken computer. And will avoid this store like a zombie plague. read more

Fantastic, humble, competent service here. They even informed me that on one of my packages, I could get a better deal just going to a regular post office than using UPS. The honesty was much appreciated! I came to drop off two packages that were boxed with labels but needed some tape. I was surprised to be charged $1 per box for the tape (a total of 6"), but more surprised by the manager's rudeness about it. I was reminded multiple times that it was my responsibility to make sure packages are taped up on arrival. Really? Clearly the business does not make money off pre-paid shipments for drop-off, but there are less sleazy ways to make money off your customers. I do not ship as much, but whenever I have Return Slip from UPS, I always come here. Today, needed to return a package with UPS Return Label. However, I didn't have the packaging box. Gentlemen at the register suggested box for around $7. I didn't really wanted to spend that amount but was going to do it, so I can get it over with. Then Bill walks in, I knew him before "Not personally" just because he has the name tag, as an owner. He over heard me and suggested bubble envelope, which was around $3. On the way out, he even asked me, if I wanted the receipt of the transaction, since it was return label and it is good to have the record, just incase. Thank you for your services. read more

I'm writing this review to counter the single star reviews. It's unfortunate both of their isolated experiences weren't like mine usually are. Today was another great visit. My son needed to get an application mailed quickly and we needed a witness to sign it as well. We were lucky to get Angela. I say lucky because ever since we moved to Sunnyvale Angela was pleasant and ever helpful in setting up our mailbox. She impressed me because she talks to customers like friends instead of, well, like customers. Anyway, she could have charged me for witnessing my doc (not notary) but she didn't. I'm often on the road so my mailbox isn't picked up for more than a week at a time. When it's full the staff will place everything in a convenient bag or box and text me when they do. It's no big deal and they do it for me cheerfully. Their customer service is exemplary.... No, their customer service is more like your best friend having your back. That's how much I depend on them and trust them. read more

Absolutely terrrible customer service. Package paid for UPS Next Day Air Saver with their "guaranteed delivery" on the next day - been in my city for two days with no delivery. Out for delivery both days. Nothing. Called them and told they have no idea where the package is except that it's in my city. Seriously, they have no more information than is available to me on their site? What truck its in? What driver scanned it and took it out? Nothing. Waiting at home two days in a row for this and nothing. Now I'm not going to be home tomorrow and watch them try to deliver it, and tough luck to me. Such terrible service. Never use UPS. read more

I was very dissatisfied with this locations response to my complaint. On 11/30/17 I took a package to this location to send to my sister in Eugene, OR. They told me that it could be there by 12/2 for $50.00. I agreed because it was my sister's birthday and she was alone, her husband recently was admitted to a nursing home. It did not arrive. When I called Monday they did not care even a little bit. They would file a complaint and I might hear from them by Wed. They told me I was rude because I quietly told them the circumstances. No anger no name calling. Really all I expected was for the management to care. Rather I got this is not my problem and you are being rude. I walked in here 30 minutes to closing with $15 in my pocket, hoping it would be enough to send back some online shopping that did not work out for me. The girl that helped me was such a sweetheart and this is why i am writing this review. i was totally unprepared with my shipment and to top it off my cell phone died trying to retrieve all my shipping information. She went out of her way to go get me her cell phone charger so that i can get my shipment out on time. She did not have to do that, that right there is customer satisfaction to the max. We have had a business mailbox here for about a year and have had a great experience with this UPS Store location. The younger gentlemen and the younger ladies have been very helpful, pleasant and personable to work with. We haven't dealt with many other employees as mentioned in other reviews. We come in and out and call randomly and each time has been easy and delightful. The only downside is the parking lot. I used to be a regular at this place, until one day they decided to make a fool out of me. Apparently the shipping label on my package (the one that they placed!!!) came off en route. So 5 days later, they opened the package checked the address on the documents inside and sent it back to me. When I went to the store with the worn out package, they refused to take responsibility for this and expect me, to now pay for "one day air", taking advantage of the fact that I really need the package sent immediately. I had to pay 3 times the usual amount and had it sent 1 day late. I ended up having to take responsibility for the mistake they made and walked out of the store with a $2 discount and an "i would be angry too" from the clerk. The previous staff was so much warmer and got things done right. Looking at the reviews these guys have gotten already, it looks like Shane has left the store and the new manager/notary is not doing a good job. read more

Came in here to ship an oversized box. I had calculated the price before hand. Unfortunately, I calculated the item size and not the box size so the price jumped. That's my fault. The guy then proceeds to measure my box and adds an inch to every dimension which increased the price by $65. Went to the USPS and shipped it for $100 less.
