He went above and beyond to help me disassemble a pesky piece of a baby gate that I was returning without me even having to ask. He is genuine, great customer service and is an asset to your organization. Deserves a raise. I was at this location today and my experience was not great. First, the employee (Robbie) looked like he had just rolled out of bad, disheveled, unkempt hair and stained clothes (uniform). Secondly, he didn't seem to care or try to understand what I needed. I had to explain multiple times what I was looking for before he asked his coworker for help. He went around the corner into a back area and I could hear him explaining what he thought I needed. I heard a voice from the back room loudly saying "Huh?" and another employee came to the front. This guy looked even worse, clothes completely stained, wrinkled and brown. He immediately dismissed me to go online and "look it up there". When I asked which section on the UPS website I would need to search, he said "just google it". Worst customer service I have ever received. Went to FedEx and got exactly what I needed within 2 minutes. read more

I arrived at this location at around noon with numerous items to be boxed and shipped. Robbie (sp?) greeted me as soon as I walked in, assessed my needs and went to work. He packed my Christmas gifts carefully and provided my best shipping options. The store became very busy, with a long line. Robbie's co-worker was "on lunch" so Robbie completed my order calmly and efficiently with no help. Not a single person waiting was annoyed because they were watching great customer service in action. 0 stars but yelp would not let me leave the review without clicking a star - i was first in line this morning waiting for the store to open-a man came after me - when the snarky turd opened the doors, i went in and up to the counter - then man that came me also went up to the counter-the snarky turd employee helped him first, and when i said to him i was there first, he said "i don't care" and proceeded to help him making me wait. i am now afraid he is going to do something to my amazon package return i brought in there. i made sure i held the item up to the camera so the actual item could be seen - i called that store, and another tempe store, all refusing to give the franchis owner information out so i could report this little turd snob! guess they just don't care! read more

I have been to this store multiple times do to Amazon returns due to the location however the store is never open on time. I just went to return an item at 9 am and the employee just showed up to open the store with a line of people waiting outside. I can honestly say that there has not been 1 time where I walked in and any employee was friendly. I've been pointed to of where to go and I've been grunted at. This morning, I went to drop off a package and popped by 20 minutes after their open time. It was closed. The employee showed up then locked the door behind him while it was raining outside. 10 minutes later and still not open. I've tried about 10 times with this location and just can't do it again. The location is incredibly convenient, but my time is worth so much more. I'll drive the extra 10 minutes to go to another location. read more

I walked into the store to drop off 2 Amazon packages. The store was empty except for 1 young male employee. His eyes were bloodshot red, disheveled, and really out it. I walked up to him to give him the packages he refused to take them although my scan codes were ready and in hand. He pointed to self service machine. The store was empty he could have easily taken my packages especially that one of them was huge and would not fit in the plastic bags at the self service station. Very disappointed with the service. I've used this store for years as it's close to my house but I will go out of my way next time and find another store. read more

Unattentive and unwelcoming staff. I stood in line with Amazon packages to return, and not a single employee acknowledged me, offered assistance, or even greeted me. One staff member was helping another customer, but the other was completely free and still ignored everyone. After waiting for a while, I ended up just asking another customer who was using the self-service scanner if "returns" would work there as well (as I've never used it since I usually stay in line for returns at other UPS locations). She told me the staff apparently want people to use the self-service scanner -- something they could have easily mentioned or guided me to. Instead, they just stood there while people figured it out themselves. A simple acknowledgment or direction would've gone a long way. It's basic customer service, not rocket science. To make matters worse, the return bin near the scanner was overflowing with packages. Clearly no one was checking or managing it. What exactly are they doing all day? read more

Just an amazingly terrible product in terms of reliability and value. I recently attempted to ship an envelope overnight from Tempe to a city out East. I paid over $65 only to have it held by UPS in the receiving city. The corporate office told me I had held it up. When they found out that this wasn't true they accused the receiver as the ones who held it up. When the store asked for proof, of course corporate fell short. Disappointingly, the package was delivered a day late. I asked for a refund but was originally denied. The store manager told me he wouldn't issue the refund without a corporate approval. Finally, after a week, I was issued a partial refund - minus a fuel and handling surcharge. I will NEVER use UPS again. read more

Some of the employees here are polite and helpful, but there's one who just seems to hate his job. But I won't judge him as I don't know what his life circumstances are and ultimately he does his job adequately as long as you don't ask questions or expect a human response. The three stars are for the fact that this place is completely unfriendly to people with disabilities. There's no automatic doors for disabled people and they're left to their own devices or their luck to be there at the same time as other customers who might be willing to help them open doors while carrying heavy packages all while on a wheelchair. And if a disabled person is unlucky enough to go in when the sad employee is the only person there, yikes... just Awful... read more

I went to this UPS Store location this morning with an Amazon return code. The directions on Amazon said to take the return to a UPS store show them the qr code and they'll take it and return to Amazon. Sounds simple enough. The first employee gave me a dolly to bring the box inside. Once inside the second employee measured it and said they wouldn't take it because it was too big and the drivers wouldn't take it. I was given directions to the UPS hub. I went there and after measuring the box the employee told me that the measurements fit in their system, but the hub location is not capable of printing out the return labels. Since the tracking number was newly created he was unable to see in the system which Amazon address the package was to be sent to. He called a different UPS Store and they said they could take it no problem. Went to the other UPS store location and the employee there accepted it with no issues and helped bring the box in from my truck. Completely disappointed in this location. I'm not sure if the employee doesn't know the correct UPS information or just unwilling to take the box because it was large. Either way with so many UPS stores in the area I would suggest avoiding the hassle of this one. read more

I'll take my business to FedEx or the USPS after my experiences with UPS stores. They are expensive, lack decent customer service, manager is rude and micromanages the staff. Hello, if they can't do the task without your "help" maybe you shouldn't have hired them or maybe you need to alter your training program. We have gone here merely for the convenience of the location(s) and have had to take business elsewhere for various reasons (purchasing stamps, mailing packages, etc.) Most recent visit, I arrived with a fax to send but a third customer that came in had hers sent first instead of waiting for mine.Had to wait for transmission receipt before they could send a new fax. Business where my fax was being sent closed during the wait for the other customers fax and mine never went through. Thanks for that. I have got to remember to stop going there. read more

While I did not see the employee eating, I will take the manager at his word and hope this business continues to take all precautions to keep its employees and customers safe. The employees in this store are not wearing their masks. I went to drop off a package and an employee sitting behind the counter was having a conversation with another employee with his mask pulled down to his neck. This is not okay and I hope the manager of this location addresses this issue immediately. read more

Used this store and two others regularly for the last decade. Owner is friendly, employees are helpful and always looking to best serve the customer as opposed to themselves. This morning I felt compelled to post as I watched the big guy with dread-locks (been there a while) helped an elderly lady THROUGH THE ENTIRE Amazon return process on her ancient smart phone ALL while working his building line of customers and communicating with the entering customers AND covering the phones. I appreciate the UPS store on McClintock for the many services they offer. However, the majority of the employees that work here, now and in the past few years are not pleasant or friendly. There are a few exceptions but most of them don't smile or look you in the eye. The owner/manager may think it isn't important. However, if another store moved into the neighborhood, I would be happier using a store with nicer emplyees. read more

Pretty upset with their service. Most of the employees and the manager are so rude. I regularly come to print shipping labels and their printers never work with the USB I bring-despite my rotating different USBs and printers in case it was me. Because of this, they usually have to print it for me behind the counter. It didn't use to be a problem until lately they keep trying to charge me $3 which is their email to print fee because they go to the back and print it. Usually, I just explain the situation and they realize the mistake but this last time the employee didn't believe me and asked the manager who said if they have to print it on a printer behind the counter, it's $3 extra. Not my fault your printers won't read my USB and why does the location of the printer matter? This doesn't happen to me with other UPS stores. Never coming back for printing services read more

I rented a mail box temporarily here over a year ago, staff here was alway nice and friendly, I should have written a 5-star review a long time ago. But recently (a year after I stopped renting a box here), I received a call from one of the staff, notified me that they received a vehicle registration and license plate from AZ DOT for me here, he kept them (instead of returning them to sender) for me since he remembered I used to rent a box here. Ran in to do package drop off for an Amazon return. Wow! These guys are so fast and helpful. I had the wrong size envelope so my shoe return didn't fit. They had the right size handy. (Well stocked mailing supplies). By the time I got organized the young man behind the counter had whipped out a label pouch, inserted my return label, put the shoes in the envelope, sealed and weighed it. So very efficient and I told him so. I really appreciate that when I have a ton of errands to run. His is what a business should be for us folks who are crazy busy. I was in and out in under 5 minutes. I will definitely use them again. They are my neighborhood UPS store and I'm oh so happy about that! read more

Just thought I should make people aware of the response I received from this UPS Store when inquiring what thir notary policy was and why I was charged an extra $3 their employee to witness/sign a document that I had paid them to notorize for me. After the blunt reply below, I certainly will never be a customer there again - for anything! Dear Ms........ I really like UPS Stores in general, and my local one in particular. I was only at this one since I happened to be in the neighborhood. After I was charged, I had a concern about the security of a document I was going to leave with them. I expressed my concern, and was actually told that the document (that was still in my hand) was now "their property." When I suggested that wasn't likely, they became rude but at least refunded my money. There are other UPS Stores, I recommend you choose one of those. read more
