I went to the Vernon location for UPS at 35 Talcotville the 2 white women were rude and racist they refused to take my return and were treating me like I was a dumb black man. The old white lady was having a personal conversation on the phone then she came to the counter and refused to take my amazon return. I was going to call the police because i felt violated. I call a supervisor at amazon, and she was mad and apologized for their behavior. Amazon told me to keep the tires, and they refunded my cost for the tires. i will never go into that store ever again. and I am calling UPS customer service as soon as I am done. read more

I've used this UPS Store a few times to drop off Amazon returns. Today it was a Lands End return. It's so easy. When you submit the return on the Amazon site they give you a QR code. You bring your item in, show the QR Code and they do the rest. No box. No tape. No address label. Just walk away. It's awesome. There is always a line because someone always has a problem. I've had delightful and helpful employees and I've had employees that clearly hate their jobs. But I would still recommend using the UPS Store. read more

Customer service is horrible! Sounds like an in store theft problem. It's becoming quite a habit, because this is not the first time that this has happened within our family. They accused you of doing things that are outrageous, meanwhile, when you're on the phone with the representative, they hang up on you. Furthermore, when you go to the store, they change their tone and make you look like you're the bad guy when they are in the wrong. We're not issuing an investigation in the first place. I've always gotten great and friendly service at this store. There was a new girl working, I didn't catch her name, but she was particularly friendly and helpful. Charlese is a rockstar with a great personality, and helped me get a notary done quickly and with a smile. read more

Set an appointment for a 9am notary, but apparently "the notary makes their own hours" - took time off work to make the appointment, but apparently the notary is so lazy that they can't even bother to show up to make appointments made days in advance. read more

I needed to have a document notarized. Called the store at 4 pm and was told the notary is gone for the day and needed to make an appointment. Made an appointment for the following day at 1 pm. When I showed up at 1 pm I was told that the notary was at lunch and would be back in 45 minutes. Then a few minutes later I was put on the phone with the notary who told me she would not be in the rest of the day and to come back the next day. I have used this store location for many years and have always found it to be quick and courteous. I do however, always bring my packages pre-packed, taped and often pre-paid. I use Pirate Ship to create my labels and take payment and then only need to drop them off at UPS Store. read more

I have pre-paid postage to return a package to the retailer and this store wants to charge me $3.19 to put a piece of tape on the box. I was also unhappy with the way the service rep delivered the information to me. I'm tired of rude and disrespectful customer service. So very disappointed and quite frankly, a little angry with the treatment I recieved by employees of the Vernon, CT UPS store. They were down right rude, wanted two dollars for an inch of tape to help secure a package, and was my questions and concerns were met with sneering sarcasm. I went to return a package that was delivered by UPS that was for the previous owners of my house. The lady at the counter told me very rudely that they don't return packages there and that I had to call ups and they will come pick it up. I wasn't aware they did that. If I could do a no star review, I would. I am a nomad with a temporary address change. Was not there for a medical package for my son which needed to be signed for. Left an unclear message whether the package would be delivered the next day or was at the store. Called to find out it was at the store. Upon arrival, they denied me access to urgent medical supplies because address did not match. I provided the tracking number and they still refused. I got annoyed and tried explaining if you had a son and the MANAGER interrupted me and said "I don't, thank god". First of all how unprofessional. She and the young punk would not listen to me and kept talking about policy. When will Americans start thinking for themselves? Why would I come in and lie about a specific package? I will avoid ups going forward. And will NEVER use this store. The people are dumb, rude, unprofessional, and not understanding to the importance of medical supplies. I went to this store because I needed 2 documents notarized, the woman working in the store said it would cost 5 dollars for each document, because I was gonna need 2 witnesses the charge for each witness is 10 dollars a piece x 2 because there was 2 documents total of $50, needless to say I went to my town hall and only paid $5, and she was a little rude, read more

New rule. Wont let you borrow take. Have to provide your own for Amazon packages. So FedEx other packages good? Pulls out a sign that randomly have this policy dated from 2016 but apparenlty not enforced until today. I guess the color of the company is good for the service offered. read more

How can you rate a UPS store 5 stars on yelp you might ask? Friendly, consistent customer service is the answer. I usually just visit the UPS store to drop off packages... Often times returns from Amazon. Even though the visits are brief, everyone is always incredibly friendly and welcoming. My mind was blown recently when I found out that they take USPS drop offs too. Definitely will be going here instead of the post office if at all possible! read more

The only reason I'm giving this location a star is because of how quickly I was able to bring my package to the store and have it shipped out. I wasn't aware that I had to cover the old shipping label on the package I was sending back. The woman who assisted me was extremely rude, disrespectful, condescending, and snarky when telling me I had to do so. When I explained to her that I didn't cover the old label since the company did not inform me to cover the old label, she was even more disrespectful and condescending especially because she was talking back to me. I went into this UPS store to ship back some frontier communications equipment. I have been in here a few times and all that I knew up to this point is that their prices on packing materials were way more expensive than Lowes or Home Depot. On this visit, I had all the packing materials sent to me from frontier. There was one piece of flat cardboard that wasn't used in packing and I asked if they could throw it away for me. The female behind the counter told me to throw it away at home because she has enough of her own cardboard to get rid of. Very rude and unprofessional customer service. read more
