A week ago we brought a large grandpa-made (that's me) dollhouse to the Vienna UPS store to be shipped to Brentwood, TN. The dollhouse was built many years ago for another granddaughter (now a college grad) who has now passed it on to her 8 year-old cousin. Five shoebox size packages of furniture and accessories were packed inside. The UPS store staff created a double box for it and it went out as freight. A long-time visitor to this location and the new owner Yosef (as of March 1, 2022) is just amazing. I had a HUGE box to send back to my company, but for some reason the account wasn't pulling up when I dropped it off. The staff let me leave my box while they contacted Yosef since I had to run to meetings. Yosef then personally managed the transaction for me remotely so I wouldn't have to come back across town. I had an urgent need to have a Power of Attorney document notarized and then authenticated by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Sayed was particularly helpful in witnessing the signatures, notarizing the document on the correct pages and facilitating the package mailing to the Commonwealth's office in Richmond. When we realized that we forgot to include the fee payment in the package, he kindly retrieved the package so we could insert the check and reseal it -- at no extra charge! Within 48 hours, we had the document back as needed. I would use them again. read more

This is by far my favorite UPS store! I rented from several locations and settled here because i was more than satisfied with the service. The staff there are always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Always willing to go the extra mile with answering questions about my shipping needs and more. I've used many of their services i.e. the computer to print from my email, notary service, made copies, shipped packages to my daughter in college and I also rent a mailbox from this location. When i pick up my packages, I get to observed the interactions with other customers and they're always kind and patient and informative even when their dealing with difficult customers. I'm a longtime customer and I would highly recommend this store. read more

So, UPS has shipping envelopes. The UPS store does not stock them. They want me to buy there overpriced junk. They are a terrible business and a disgrace to Vienna. Note: my original review was on the iPhone. Now, I am writing a more descriptive review and responding to his. My scenario started when Amazon shipped me the wrong item: bra extenders instead of a phone mount for the bicycle. The item I was sent was worth about $2.00. I wanted to ship it back, and printed the return label. In the past, I have used ship[per-supplied shipping envelopes for very small objects. I assumed that they would be in stock. Instead, I enter the UPS store near my house with my object in the original shipping container (which was torn) on one side. I was told the only way I could ship it was to buy one of your containers. Those cost more that the item was worth (but less than I was owed by Amazon). I asked is there any other options...answer was no. Yes. I got angry. Angry at the UPS store, and angry at Amazon. After dealing with Amazon, we had a solution. I then took it to a different UPS store (Pan Am shopping center). They also did not stock UPS envelopes, but they used the shipping label to secure the item in the packaging I supplied -- something you never considered. There were other options than having buy your overpriced packaging. You see, I had a small - non bulky item I was attempting to return to Amazon; you were more interested in selling me overpriced packaging then solving the problem. I will not be back to your store. Vienna is a small town...treating customers wrong is not a good way to stay in business. read more

The staff at this UPS store (344 Maple Avenue, Vienna 22180) is super friendly and professional. I recommend everyone, especially Maryam! I needed to ship two large paintings cross country to Southern California. Maryam assured me the items would be securely packaged and arrive safely, which happened exactly as she said. I've never did business with a UPS store that is this horrible with people, customer service and just overall competence. My first interaction with them was shipping something awkwardly shaped back to Overstock some months back. The lady was snappy and impatience as if she wasn't the one with horrible english that I couldn't understand. Anyway, I chalk it up to maybe her having a bad day. I come back recently to get a document notarized. OMG, the sake lady when two other people (older man and younger woman) are there. All three were very short with customers as I waited. The one lady closest to the door doesn't even say welcome or can I help you until after I was standing there for a whole 5 minutes while she messed around with papers. Then waved me around to the side without saying anything or without her walking in the direction either. So I assumed maybe she isnt referring to me. Then the gentleman who does the notary, walks halfway to me, without saying a word...making some incoherent gesture for me to now come to him (I had an appointment with him btw). So he's assisting me and acting as if my presence there is an inconvenience to him (I needed two documents notarized and they charged me $5 each). I mean I don't know what line of work pays you $10 for a 4 minute task, but again he was acting like I was wasting his time and not paying for a service. Then he gets to the two documents and screws up one because he wants the other (while similar are very different) to like the first one. So he totally writes my name in one spot, which clearly says "NOTARY." Then he signs his name in the section that clears refers to the owner or the property. He knew he messed up because he signed in both locations, but then tried to blame it on a form that the state has used a million times. At this point I'm actually pretty annoyed because I didn't print an extra copy to redo it and here this guy is ranting as if it's my fault, the states fault, or whatever. He then said well if they won't accept it, you can return and I'll redo it. Two days later sure enough the document was rejected because he jacked it ups So I'm thinking lord not only do I have to waste my time to redo this but deal with these rude a$$ people. So I come back today for him to redo it. He feels the need to argue with me about it as if he's some attorney over the language or a legal document. So then I thought to myself, oh Im not letting these people get away with being rude. So I give him some rah rah energy back! He then only relents when he sees another customer coming since he was the only way in the store today. Then as he's filling it out again, he screws up on something as minor as the location and my name WITH MY LICENSE right there in his face. Then had the nerve to huff and puff the entire time as if I'm causing him to screw up. Finally, I'm about ready to walk out and now he says have a good day. Saying this doesn't negate the 3 horrible experiences I've had with your store. Never again will I give these people my business. PS sorry for any typos since I don't even want to proof this review since this business has already taken up so much of my time and ruined my calm and peaceful energy right now. Just head my advice and others, go some places else for your shipping and notary needs. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. The man that works there most of the time was the biggest ass I've ever met. I need to know where an important package went because when I tracked it said it was still at the store. Mind you it was for over night and be there the next day. He yelled at me for asked if he can track it for me. He then yelled about me not having the receipt ready for him, and continued on about how I was wrong and he was right. At this point I'm getting mad myself. He's still yelling at me and that point I had to leave. I wouldn't recommend ever going there find another store. read more

I live in Vienna and only use this UPS store when I am required to because I am returning an item. The employees at this store are so rude! I thought it was only me until I went to the UPS store in Oakton to avoid the Vienna store and there were several people in line and the person in front of me said, "I'd rather wait for a few minutes than go to the store in Vienna...they are horrible!" That prompted the other people to chime in with their bad stories from the Vienna store. read more

I've done business with this particular UPS Store for over 2 years. I think the team there is extremely kind and welcoming and always willing to help me find the right solution for my needs. It's really the little things for me like offering to throw away packaging when I can't fit everything into my car or remembering my daughters name and asking about her when I don't have her with me. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!... My husband and me spent an entire traumatic day trying to figure out what happened to the package. So, Last week, we mailed important travel documents, informed them about the importance and followed all their instructions to mail it out. They charged us for Next Day Air $30 and said it would reach by 10.30AM next morning...Next day, we were shocked to see with no update and on visiting the store, were told "sorry, I called customer care.Thats all I can do" line. There was nothing else done from their end.....We were aghast and extremely worried. After multiple customer care attempts, we were told that since the package got stamped after 7 pm. It would take an extra day to kick start shipping process.. How does a person working in the store doesn't know this basic point!!!!!!! With continuous follow ups, our package finally reached the destination after 4 working days.. grrrrr... So much stress..I want my money back !!!!! DONT TRUST THE SERVICE.. I've been going to this UPS store for years. I did when Sam and Patty ran it. And, I have continued now with the new owners who took it over a few years ago. I've always been treated very nicely and they always have a smile and are gracious to me. When they first started running it, they were a bit slow due to learning the ropes. But, we were all newbies at jobs in our lives. They now run things very smoothly I feel. And, I've never had any problem with any shipments I've sent out...either I packed them or they've packed them. Sometimes, UPS (in general) has delivery problems due to weather in areas, etc. But, that's not a UPS branch's fault. I get email notifications through their store from UPS when my package has gone out also. I think this UPS branch is great. read more

He should be able to give me my package with me providing I.D. and tracking number (this is what their online customer service told me) but did not do so. I have been a regular customer with Sayed and his team for over 5 years - and I LOVE THIS LOCATION! They are personable, efficient, smart, always kind and extremely professional. With 2 of our children in college (not to mention my Zappos and Amazon returns!), I ship regularly and have never had a problem. Today I completely forgot that stores would not be open. Needing to pick up my rings that were resized and sent to the store so they were not on my porch, I went around 5pm after traveling from PA to pick them up. The store was closed but the owner was inside packing up some items and opened the door for me. She was amazing! I've been a mailbox customer since 2005. I've been pleased with the service, location and support. Whenever I get a package they call and email me. I once received ten packages on the same day. They stored them for a few days when I was out of town. I'm happy to be a customer. read more

That is not at all what I was asking. I wanted you to scan the code and pull up my receipt for shipping. I would of requested another bar code for the other rug from my phone. Your approach and unwillingness to help or offer to package my rugs was what lead me to leave and write my review. I suggest you read YELPS advice on how to approach a review. Defending your poor customer service is the very reason you were given 1 star. I suggest acknowledging the consumer experience might be better. read more

This place tried to charge me $70 for a shipment next door PostNet did for a fraction of the cost. They will definitely nickel and some you. Just use them as a drop off. Don't give them one cent. read more

The manager and staff were clueless for international shipping. This was the second instance...

On April 4, 2015 at 6:50pm, I received a call from the store located on Maple Ave, Vienna, VA asking for additional information. The information was in an email which needed to be opened. The female UPS store employee who later stated she was the owner and manager was not patient and became very agitated while waiting a few seconds. She continued to explain that she did not have time to wait even though the package had been in the store's possession since approximately 2:30 and she could have called earlier. Once the email had been opened to verify the shipping address, the owner/manager was still rambling on about not having time to wait even when I tried to explain that the information was ready. She hung up! How disrespectful and rude, especially in a customer service industry. I guess the owner/manager skipped the class about customer service. Hopefully, this review along with ALL of the other negative reviews will assist the owner finding a new occupation that doesn't involve dealing with clients. ZERO stars read more

Stopped in to drop off a USPS package, which even though this is a UPS store, USPS materials are accepted there. Waited in line, presented my package to the bearded man behind the desk and he rudely snapped that my package was USPS and I needed to take it there. I said that I've dropped packages at other UPS stores with no problem before. Then he said the box needed more tape and I needed to tape it myself. He wouldn't give me a piece of tape. I took my box and left. I usually go to the UPS store in Oakton, where the employees are all happy to lend a piece of tape and take a USPS package with a smile. Used this location as it was on my way to work this morning. I was told it would cost $100 to ship a small box (8x5x5) overnight to South Carolina. Since I thought that was very high, I looked up the options online at ups.com while he was packaging the item and saw it was over $40 less. When I questioned the price and showed him the online quote (using the EXACT same dimensions and weight) he pushed the box across the counter at me and said he would prefer I take my business elsewhere. BLAH! Crap customer service. I printed my return info at home and when I presented my package and the printed info I was told it wasn't scanable. Ok, I get that. I asked if it could be scanned off my phone and was told "no" because the driver also had to scan the info. Ok, sounds reasonable. When I asked the guy what should I do he said "I don't know. I think there is something wrong with your printer." Ok. Sure. So I asked if I could print it there (because they advertise a printing center) I was told to wait while he put a new cartridge in the printer. Then (literally a minute later while I watched him attempt to put the cartridge in) I was told I could not print it because there was something wrong with his machine. Mind you, there were 2 people waiting behind me which is why I think there was "a problem with the printer." I would've been happy to wait until he helped the other 2 people since clearly my stuff was going to take a little longer but to be shuffled off because he (seemingly) felt flustered by the line isn't ok. It's horrible customer service. It really is a dying art. I'm not an unreasonable person. Really I'm not. But when I'm asking someone for advice or assistance in the service industry, "I don't know" is unacceptable. Im giving one star because I can't give zero. read more
