They delivered (complimentary) all 630 pieces of clothing within 48 hours. For the amount we had to dry clean, the $3.49/piece was the best price option around. I had 2 Polo shirts at the Zips Cleaners in Sterling,VA and they absolutely de my shirta. The staina left on both shirts it's so bad that I can't even wear them anymore. I went back to talk to the owner and he didn't take ownership for the issue. I've been going to Zips Cleaners for at least 10 years and the way that the owner talk to me about the problem it was unacceptable. I will NEVER go back and so my family member. I went here to get my suits tailored. Sleeve length and pant length. There's an Asian lady that will have you put on your clothes to pin them to your desired length. Sleeve length hemming is ~$55 because she had to move the buttons as well. Pant length hemming is $11 (not bad) Overall the experience was good, service was quick and I liked the outcome of how she did my suits. Extremely disappointed. The dry cleaning staff is great but their alterations lady is a liar and is very unprofessional and rude. I called before I came, they advised that I would need to speak with her. I stopped by and left all my pants in the car just to be sure. I spoke to her and advised I had 8 pair of pants that needed to be tapered and one pair of pants hemmed. We decided on a price, I went back got my pants and she began working on the taper and she immediately changed the price and I realize it's even higher than what is listed. I spoke to a colleague and explained the situation and she just stared at me with a blank expression. This experience has ruined it for all Zips. So much for this being the "economic" dry cleaners... I just went to have two suit jacket sleeve cuffs hemmed. I saw the price on the tag was $48 which I already thought was too much money. I remember it being maybe $20-$25 to hem the sleeve cuffs on the suit jacket. When I go to pay, it's not only $48 total was just for one jacket not the both. Almost $100 to have two blazer jacket sleeve cuffs hemmed? Yeah... no way. This place has become ridiculously overpriced. I will find somewhere else to go. read more

Prices are up, but let's be honest, what isn't? Inflation is a reality. Businesses and consumers alike are hurting. It's my hope this will like the ocean recede eventually, but who knows when this will happen. On a plus note, the employees at this Zips are friendly, professional, and very efficient. I value them, and their diligence with regards to customer service. As for cost Zips is competitive. Parking is plentiful here. If you get in early enough, you can have your dry cleaning back the same day. Not all can do this. For us guys in a hurry, it's a major factor in why I roll here. Definitely give them a try. Not sure where to begin as my horrendous experience happens a couple of months ago and I've needed a clear mind to write this.... I took in two shirts, one silk, to this place since I had taken items with similar fabric before and everything went well. I had signed up for the rewards program and I only had to pay for one garment. The cashier seemed knew and didn't really know what he was doing but I gave him a pass since I didn't think he was going to do the dry cleaning. I picked up my tops two days later and when I got home I realized one shirt had runs and snags on the shoulders and armpit parts. The other shirt had snags on the side. I was upset and called the place but they told me to call the next day as the manager had left. I came back the next day and the manager said "It May be because it's old", YEAH RIGHT! I just worn this top TWO times and it was pretty much destroyed. He took them in saying he was going to try to fix it. Came back in two days and it was the same. I told the manager this was unacceptable and he said he would keep the tops and the owner would call me. Week passed by, no call, nothing, I had to call them and email them twice and finally the owner replied saying Kio would be fixing my shirt. Went a week later, picked up the shirt thinking everything would be fine, only to see the shirt was the same, if not WORSE! I spoke with the manager who said there's nothing else they can do to contact the owner. Owner sent me an article for something UNRELATED to my tops. I had been coming here for years but NEVER again will I come here. No consideration for time I've spent, lack of miscommunication or terrible bad service. I have been going to this place for years (20 years or more ) and now I will simply will go to another zip cleaners or other dry cleaning place around the area for my business . Recommend you give your money to another zip dry cleaners (Alexandria) one is best one I found so far or another dry cleaning place in the area. Customer service sucks! Rude , unprofessional , manager has the stereotypical Asian rude attitude and don't care about their customers. They will point the finger back at you like a kindergartner to reason why they can't get stains out and the tailor there have to go multiple times just to make sure they do the job right. Zips located just off Fairfax Circle has handled all of my dry cleaning since they opened. They provide excellent quality services at a great price and very fast turn around. You can't beat their prices! The only things I've found that they don't process is tablecloths and curtains. read more

I hate to leave this review but my last experience with this place was that terrible. When I was picking up my dry cleaning, the woman was bringing it to me and part of one of the items was outside of the plastic bag and was being dragged on the floor. I asked her is she could have that item cleaned again. For all I know it was being dragged on the carousel the whole time. She didn't respond so I asked her again. Then I realized she didn't speak English so I waited for the employee next to us to be done with her customer. Once she was done she came over but didn't acknowledge me. So I asked her if she could help. She ignored me. So I asked her again and also asked if they could just re-dry clean that one item. She ignored me still. So I said, excuse me, did you hear me? Finally, she said, "We will clean it. Pick it up tomorrow." Really rudely . I was taken aback :/. So I said, "Sorry, am I asking for too much?" She said "I said you can pick it up tomorrow." So I just said, "you know what? Never mind. I'll get it cleaned somewhere else." Long story I know. And I know these people work very hard. And I also know this is a discount dry cleaner. I am only leaving this because this place used to be great. I've even given a 5 star review on Google before. Sad that I have to start going elsewhere. read more

Never had a problem with them. They're always on time and very friendly. I was worried about some of my more expensive/ unique care stuff, but they always get it right. If you do have something specific that is of concern (like a stain or something) just make sure to point it out and they'll do their best. Other than being very cheap, the location is fantastic. This was my 2nd time visiting this location since the first time I had a good experience. My first time a few months back, I dropped 3 pants to get minor repairs on. The tailor lady gave me really good pricing and I was able to pick up my items 2 days later. I came back last week to get very similar minor repairs on two other pants and unfortunately the tailor lady was not there and the person working the register named Christina Galloway took my pants and charged me double the pricing the tailor had charged me a few months back on the same repairs. I came back 3 days later to pick up my items to only receive 1 of the 2 she said the other should be done by the following Monday. I returned on Monday and they couldn't locate my item! Christina said that she would check w the tailor and call me the next day. She does not call me the next day so I showed up and she starts giving me some made up excuses at that point I asked for compensation since they LOST my item. She was starting to give me some excuses to return the next day AGAIN but at that point it was all lies again so I asked for a refund, at least she was able to do that however it doesn't equal the cost of the LOST ITEM. She should get trained on not lying to customers and not losing customers items. Total waste of time and money. Not coming back to this location. read more

Not even if I tried, I could not be more "disappointed" with the dry cleaning services we received from the ZIPS Dry Cleaners - Fairfax Circle. The company should be renamed to "RIPS Dry Cleaners" for "ripping off customers". I needed two winter jackets cleaned and my husband dropped off the jackets and picked them up without looking at them. When he brought them home I gave him the "stink eye" as the jackets did not look dry cleaned or even laundered. I seriously believe the only thing that actually happened was the addition of the dry cleaning ticket to the clothing which was supposed to make us think the clothes were cleaned. Well, I now think I know why they can "ZIP" clothing in and out of the cleaners -- the clothes are not actually being cleaned. I was initially impressed with the "marketing" of getting your clothes in and out of the cleaners quickly, but this business model is an epic failure. You will definitely loose customers who are not willing to pay even a small amount for this service. I only wish I had picked up these articles of clothing, as I would have demanded a refund. I WOULD NOT recommend this dry cleaning service: EVER! You would do just as well taking your clothes into the bathtub and washing them with a washboard like my grandmother used to do. I am new to Zip Cleaners since Expo Cleaners in Fairfax Closed. After using Zip Cleaners at Fairfax Circle a couple of times, I'm very impressed. I had a special request that my sweaters be folded and pants creased. Both were done very well and with care. I added some pictures to show what happened to my clothing but here is my story! I was referred here by 3 of my friends and their parents, who will probably no longer be using ZIPS for their dry cleaning services. I dropped my clothing off on a Monday or Tuesday, and picked them up maybe 2 days later and brought them home. I went to wear one of the 4 items I had paid to get cleaned. After lifting the plastic bag, I saw deodorant stains still on 1 item (navy pantsuit), a stain still on item 2 (black/white skirt), and both other blazer smelt unclean as well. I was frustrated but calm because I understand miscommunication or confusion could have been the cause of my clothing retuning to me untouched. 2 days later, I dropped my items off again, with a RUDE and entirely unapologetic woman named Naemi. She rolled her eyes, and told me to come back in a week...My mouth fell open and she changed her mind, telling me to come back tomorrow. The next day, I came to find all of my clothing, again unclean and this time ruined. A $100 blazer was ruined and a $50 skirt snagged and STILL UNcleaned. I think she expected me to leave.... with ruined and uncleaned clothing. When I mentioned getting my money back, she again rolled her eyes and handed me cash. I asked for a number or email of someone I can file a complaint with, she said "sure the owner" and wrote a number down next to his name. I called and it was the store number... And again Naemi laughed into the phone and refused to offer me any kind of help with my ruined clothing and poor service. I asked for her to take pictures to show management and ask that someone give me a call. It has been 3 full days, and no word from anyone. I noticed that YELP is one of the only places people seem to get their problems noticed and fixed by someone at this company. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. Despite the reviews I decided to give this place a try. I'm not sure why they insist on sticking the thickest safety pins through your clothing. They've left two nice sized holes in my winter coat. This coat is also now very dark around the edges. DID I METION THAT THEY RIPPED THE ARM WIDE OPEN?! I took a pea coat in specifically for a spot on the arm. Whatever got on this coat flakes off if you scratch it, so there's no reason that it shouldn't have come off if my clothes were actually cleaned (I'm convinced they were not)!! read more

They were running my clothes with ink and the owner told me he will pay for my shirts he asked me to provide receipts so I did. It took him three months to go back and forth after giving me such a hard time he never returned my money and he gave me the same shirts hero in them about $500 and damages after I had provided him receipts. Of course the prices are really good because it is ZIPS but to also get great customer service and a quality job is the topper. What keeps me coming back are the ppl. In terms of the actual dry cleaning, I've brought in sweaters, dress shirts, suits, silk blouses and various alterations. They are consistent and timely. What else can you ask from your dry cleaners. Not all Zips are the same. This one is a keeper! I've used this Zips in Fairfax Circle since they opened this location a few years back. Great customer service, consistent quality job and Zips pricing! What brings me back is the customer service! I actually moved from Fairfax to Arlington but I still go back to this Zips! I've been to other Zips and not all are the same. Trust me! The team is friendly and gets to know you at this Zips. As I walk into the store, they bring up my account before I get to the desk! Thank you! Not every place is perfect all the time. We are all human. I've used them for hundreds of my items (maybe a 1000). One time they added a blue hue to one of my wife's expensive blouses. The manager and later the owner were very courteous and worked with me in getting the shirt replaced. I was very pleased by the results. Alterations are decently priced. I use this place for my clothes and it's ok. But do NOT take anything really nice here, like a comforter. I have a Calvin Klein comforter that has a launder tag on it. I have taken it to the local laundromat several times and washed and dried it in a large machine; it came out very good. To save time I decided to try Zips and that was a total mistake. The comforter came back torn, wrinkled, and the stuffing inside was all bunched up and the corners were smashed. That never happened before. I brought it back to see what could be done. I called today, a man, the manager, gave me a hard time saying I shouldn't clean the comforter! I told him that it was laundered several times per the tags across the street at a decent laundromat and he said his machines at Zips are "better than the laundromat." I pointed out what the tag says, and it wasn't the first time it had been laundered. He just kept talking and demeaning me that I did something wrong. I hung up the phone rather than put up with him. Now I have an expensive Calvin Klein comforter that looks like a RAG. It wasn't even spotted or dirty. I just wanted it freshened for the fall season. Poor customer service and just know they don't stand behind anything they damage and they blame you for it. read more
