Called on a Saturday afternoon and I was able to get a same day appointment for my two pitbulls. The owner (I didn't get her name) was super nice on the phone and when I got there she was so nice and welcoming to my dogs and tried her best to make them feel comfortable. When I picked them up they seemed very happy and not terrified from being at the groomers, they did look and smell great. I really like that she told me exactly how it went- what they liked and what they were more wary of while getting groomed not the generic 'they did great' answer. They even put cute bandanas on them!! Other groomers would only do that to them when they were puppies- they don't care to do so once a dog is so big. Also, they don't automatically muzzle pitbulls just because they're pitbulls- unless a dog was being aggressive then I'm sure they would to protect themselves. She's awesome. She always can fit us in. My female usually gets a bath blow dry and sanitary trim while my male get bat and blow dry. I've taken my female more than my male since he was new. She always let us know what they did good with and what they were hesitant with. ONLY thing anyone know if there still open? Called twice trying to get these two in before they start there shed. Disappointed. Be sure they really understand what type of cut they are doing. And make sure it's understood how long it's gonna take them to groom. Today there was a misunderstanding, although I felt they understood what I asked for until I picked up dog. Hey said dog would be ready by 2:30 but wasn't til 320. Had a vet appointment and vet had to trim nails since one foot wasn't even clipped. Over all cut was a little choppy uneven. One leg longer than other. His ears were matted so they were worried about that but the ears turned out fine. Attitude of male groomer was pleasant with drop off, but very sassy / rude saying owner left him to do all the work in afternoon while explaining the late grooming. Also they dont take credit so be warned on that! i wasnt told. Over all a young owners shop, still learning, and could use a little professionalism tips. read more

I don't think my dog has ever came home more happy and excited than today! Usually after a grooming my pup is very unsettled, so I almost expect it. The groomer lady is also the owner you can tell she loves her customers she was AMAZING with my dog. Recently, I brought both of my Chihuahuas in for a good grooming by The Upscale Tail shop (formerly Paw's of Elegance). I was pleased with how much they pay attention to detail. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of work they do. This is a family run business, so much better than Pet Smart and the rest of the chain stores. This is a a nice, convenient, neighborhood grooming shop located on Hillcrest Avenue at the corner of Wild Horse Road. I understand that it is a great improvement over the previous grooming shop that was operated here. I've been bringing my Rhodesian Ridgeback dog here regularly for a nail trimming. I had let his nails get too long, and the shop owner Danielle has been doing a good job of getting the nails back to the length they should be. Danielle is helpful and friendly, and is knowledgeable and skilled at the art of grooming. The dogs I've seen here when I drop in look happy, comfortable, and well groomed. The shop also has a self-service dog wash area, with tub, shampoo, air dryer and towels, for people who would like to bathe their own dogs. read more

My wife took our German shepherds in to get their nails trimmed as we have for many years now. (We were clients with the previous owner). Not only did it cost $32.00 (she's charging to use credit card again, but doesn't give her clients any warning of this) to trim two dogs nails, the owner made both dogs bleed and she barely took anything off of the length. We always have them trim the fur around the nails too and the owner charged more for this service, which we have never had to pay extra for. Last, we had to hold our own dogs as she cut their nails in the main entrance. Last time we were here the young man (sorry don't remember your name) did a fabulous job but unfortunately the owner decided she would do the job. I always try to support local small business but I refuse to pay a fortune for extremely poor service. I'll be taking my furry girls someplace else. read more

Attn!... DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!!! I brought my dog here to be groomed for the first and ONLY time, and she abused her. Causing trauma to her tail/back-end so badly she couldn't walk , wouldn't eat /drink on her own for almost 2 weeks.(had to use an infant dropper to make her drink water she wouldn't dehydrate) Took her to the same vet twice . And THEN had a THIRD vet treat her for another opinion. $350 dollars later , and 3 different medications later. She finally got better. I contacted the said groomer to ask her what happened. She immediately became defensive "claiming" she had nothing to do with this!? Even though as soon as I picked her up from her it was VERY evident something was not right! I should have went with my instincts , because when we brought my dog in . She had her underage children helping her groom. AND the place was filthy!!! Please, please PLEASE!!! Don't go here! She refused to pay for vet bills. And said to take her to court if I wanted to!? Very unprofessional to say the least!!! I told her I wasn't in this to get rich . I said I wasn't a wealthy person , and was asking to please be civilized and simply pay the vet bill she was responsible for. I was thoroughly disgusted , and saddened by this whole experience . read more

Ive brought my dog in a few times now, they do a fine job, I just find them very unprofessional. Every time I've come by the business, the owner and employees are sitting on the ground outside the front door smoking. Inside the business smells of musty cigarette smoke and it seems like they do not clean up between jobs because there is hair everywhere. If their store is that dirty it makes me worry about their tools. I really wanted to like this place because I prefer to support local small businesses, I however, will not be returning. read more

One star is an understatement this is by far the sloppiest groomers I've ever taken my pet to. No one ever answers it's always closed and not only that once I finally got an appointment I wasn't aloud to pay with my card ? My husky decided to dig under my fence and take a stroll by herself. She was picked up and taken to the Antioch Shelter. Long story short I picked her up and she went from being a white and black dog to brown and black. ( yes, she was covered in s###) Called our regular groomer Daniella and she took her in right away, called me a hour later and my dog was smelling good again!
