I read the reviews with the 1.5 star average and was apprehensive with Quality Services working on our Thermador Columns refrigerator since the previous company AHS sent, who had high reviews, wasn't able to fix the condensation leak and QS was assigned as a 2nd opinion. Embarrassingly, I was completely wrong about QS and actually recognized the technician Jared who had done an excellent job on the Thermador freezer water dispenser back in 2023. He is extremely polite, professional, and was able to fix the issue the previous company abandoned because they couldn't figure out why the water was still leaking after replacing the drip pan in the top of the refrigerator. The previous company had been out three times already and requested AHS get a second opinion from another service provider. Jared was able to figure out using an innovative way to squirt water into the drip pan to determine the drip line had a clog and was able to pull the line out from the bottom of the refrigerator causing the water to drain then he released the buildup that was causing the issue and tested again to ensure it was fixed. He also realigned the drip pan the other company installed incorrectly and replaced a screw they lost. I will not forget again the nice work Quality Services has done for us both times. I was referred to them by my home warranty company, American Home Shield, to repair my washer that was making a loud noise and my dryer that was not drying. After weeks of back-and-forth because they do not answer the phone I was able to schedule an appointment for December 24 with a window of 11-2PM. The technician, Jared, called to confirm and say he was on his way just inside that 2 PM window. He immediately (within 15mins) diagnosed my washer as needing a drain pump and my dryer, a blower motor and said he would be back to replace it in about 5 to 7 days. After two weeks of not receiving a phone call, I reached out to Quality Services and AHS. On January 19th, outside of my scheduled appointment window of 9-12pm, Jared returned at 1230pm to replace my drain pump on my washer. He proceeded to replace the drain pump and cut a hole in the my drywall behind my washer unbeknownst to me. He then pushed my washer back to the wall said he was done, but he had to come back because my drain hose was now leaking. Which is weird because I had just used the washer the day before he came. Jared proceeded to state that he was trying to figure out where the leak was coming from to which I replied what leak? He assumed that I had a leak because my baseboards have been removed from my floor and some drywall had been previously repaired behind washer. I immediately told him that that was caused prior to me buying my house and the floors had been replaced. As it turns out the pump was not bad and simply had a bra underwire caught in it which caused the noise and of course I DID NOT HAVE A LEAK, well not until he came and cracked my drain hose! This man left my house and failed to mention he had cut open my wall looking for a leak that I never stated I had. I am now left with a leaking washer and a hole in my drywall that I now have to repair. I have since canceled American Home Shield because I requested a different service company in the first place because these folks do not answer their phone and would call you back with such a nice nasty undertone so I knew they would not be adequate for my needs. Same as all the other reviews, AHS sent this company out to repair my microwave. He came out 3 times and it is still not fixed. 1st time he said, 'we could have diagnosed this on the phone.' Opened up the panel and said he needed to order a part. That was the 1st day off from work I had to take. They called back in a week with the part, I take off another day. He opens the panel and says the company ordered the wrong part. Back to the lab again he says to order the right part. He leaves the new wrong part here just in case he says. Third visit he comes with a newer part, opens the panel and then grabs the part he brought on the second trip and tries to install that. He then looks at the instructions on the newer part and puts that in, it still does not work. He then says he will get back to me on what GE tells them to do. We went to Walmart bought a $100 microwave and are doing just fine. Our GE oven and microwave are all one built in piece, so they just do not want to change out the entire set. I checked on AHS website to look at the updates and all parts have been ordered and nothing new is ordered. They seem to have just given up on our case. I am going to cancel AHS next week. I have been with them 2 years and never had an issue like this until so called "Quality Services" showed up. I waisted three personal days at work on this company and the microwave is still not fixed. They don't care, he said, well we can call you before we show up. I asked for a call prior and got none. This tech was the most unprofessional tech I've EVER had come to my home. He never called to say he was on his way as I requested. I have dogs I need to put outside. Today I had an appointment to have the part ordered for my dryer installed. The lady in the office called me yesterday to confirm. I ask again for him to please call or text prior to arriving so I can put my dogs outside. He shows up without calling again. After I got my dogs out I opened the door and asked him why couldn't he call and I'd have them already out. It's much harder to get them out when there is someone already at the door. Kevin came to my house at least 10 times, replace the compressor at least 3 times, and replace all the copper pipes over the course of 10 months but could not fix it. Totally incompetent. My refrigerator went out in mid August 2020, it is now Mid November. During Covid-19 and just before the Holidays I might add. Quality Services (American Home Shield vendor) have been to my home 5 times to repair the refrigerator, the 1st 3 times parts were ordered in order to repair the refrigerator. The 1st time the motherboard was supposedly repaired. It took 2 weeks for the part to arrive and another week for the technician to come out and replace the motherboard. Today the technician does a diagnosis on the refrigerator and says that the motherboard needs to be replaced. I stated that the motherboard was the 1st thing that was replaced. This company was sent by American Home and Shield. The guy came 4 times to try to repair my washer and left with he the same excuse. He can't fix it. He was always there for less than 10 minutes. Absolutely dreadful! These guys were my assigned contractors by our warranty company... After three visits (and $75 service calls/visit), the repair technician flooded our dishwasher bay (found that a valve was not working properly, I'll give him that) which leaked over to our living room floor and caused further water damage to our wood flooring, turned off the water to our entire house, and then left a couple days before Christmas with no resolution to our problem... Literally left us with water all over the kitchen and living room with no water running to the house.... Told us it was a plumbers issue. Needless to say I contacted the owner of the company and he did absolutely nothing. Again, I need to state that it took them three times to come out and fix the original problem to the dishwasher which they never did. The warranty company just gave us a small dollar amount for what they thought that the dishwasher was worth and would not send the contractor back out because of the issues that they had originally caused . My fridge/freezer is giving off a strong chemical odor. Ice and food began to have a chemical taste as well. AHS sent out this company who told me nothing was wrong with fridge and they couldn't smell anything or taste it in the ice. I use to work at an appliance store and when this happened to customers it was either the ice maker or defroster and replacing it fixed the issue. Their repair man kept insisting it was good and any smell in the fridge is the result of food. Not the case as I cleaned out the fridge from top the bottom and the only food in there was sealed as I can't keep cheese meats or butter without it becoming overpowered by the chemical smell. read more

I am in the same boat as many others. We have American Home Shield and they have sent Quality Services out multiple times. It started in September when our washer wouldn't cycle through and was leaking. Kevin, the tech, blamed our plumbing and transferred the case. Plumber comes out (he was great!) clears everything but says... that's not the issue. Sure enough, he's right, washer continues to leak and will not cycle through or drain normally. We QS out again, this time Kevin unplugs our washer, blows a circuit and blames our faulty electrical. I am stunned as we've never had electrical issues out there, but I then bring in someone to fix our outlets. Kevin comes back out again with a new ring (front loader) and drain tube (these were the only things he could determine were wrong since he broke our electrical outlet). He replaces these things- the washer still will not cycle through and is leaking. I call AHS again and ask for a different technician and the submit a new order for them to come back out and Quality Services CANCELS the order saying I need an electrician. (Washer powers on and will cycle through a short cycle, so we know it's not an electrical issue). Kevin is not only rude, dismissive and talks over you when trying to explain the problem, but blames everyone and everything except his mediocre work and lack of expertise for the problem. I just got off the phone with AHS again and they've submitted another work order to them. I am so fed up. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. read more

I called this contractor to come look at my dishwasher that wasn't turning on. He came out, didn't even pull the dishwasher out, and checked the breaker box. The breakers were not tripped, he said there isn't any power to the dishwasher so I can't work on it. I am calling an electrician. So I ran to the store bought a voltage meter and every component is energized. I called the tech and said how do you explain this, he said if you know so much fix it yourself. This company is running a racket with warranty companies and literally just makes things up. They rip off customers and the warranty companies. They dispatched twice to repair our fridge. First time they replaced the compressor, which took weeks to do. Then the fridge stopped cooling again couple months later, so they dispatched once again to recharge/dry the coolant which also took weeks to do, now, couple month later, fridge not cooling again. Just going to buy a new fridge and be done with it. They are incompetent, not very responsive, and worthless. Going on 4 weeks of not having a working washing machine. They came out and diagnosed, ordered part, and 1 week later, put part in. Machine did same thing the minute the repair man left. The only reason Quality received one star is due to it being impossible to give ZERO. Quality came out on the 19th of November and advised that due to the ice surrounding my fan motor I had to wait 24-48 hours for it to defrost. I was okay with this as it was not their fought the ice formed. I appreciated the honesty of not wanting to break my refrigerator. However, it took another couple days for them to get back to my home. When they came back the refrigerator had not fully defrosted, so they had to come back out. Now it is Saturday, 31 October. My service representative Jared comes and explains that they would have to order the part and this could take 3-7 days. I asked if I had to wait another week or so to get serviced and I was told after the part arrived that I would have to get back into rotation. But, the reason is astonishing, it was because I did not initially pay the co-service charge of $75.00 via American Home Shield. I asked, if I had paid initially then would I be able to expedite my wait time. This questions was avoided only to say that "other "paying" customers be serviced first" and that it would be wrong for me to skip them. My response was, "I thought I was a paying customer as well?" The fact that I did not pay them initially is the reason I am having to wait. This company seems as though they understand the maintenance of appliances, however their care for customers and availability as well as how they explain their policies need work. As a CS expert, Jared could had simply stated "Sir, once the parts arrive we will try our best to fit you into the next available appointment." As a consumer, I did not need to know that "because I did not pay for services until rendered, I had to wait!" For this, I do NOT recommend this company and advise them to get lessons in customer service. I have also asked AHS to send another vendor who has proper customer service and availability. I rarely write a bad review even if I think the service could be better because I know everybody has a bad day, but this company took 5 months of ordering the wrong parts and replacing parts only to find out that something else was wrong with my refrigerator. With AHS covering the cost of repair I found out that they were not reporting to AHS that they were still in the process of fixing the refrigerator. All this time accumulating a bill. What a mess to allow customers to be inconvenienced for five months and not report to the warranty company that is paying them. Nevertheless, the refrigerator that never had a problem, took 5 months of being out of service to fix during the COVID 19 pandemic. If you really want your appliances fixed and they tell you that certain equipment they really don't want to fix believe them. I was told this in a roundabout way that they really don't like working on products that were made (out of the country). Beware if you have this type of product. This company is very lousy, unprofessional, inexperienced, and absolutely horrible with customer service. They were assigned to us to fix our freezer and the fan switch for the stove top. He replaced the switch of the stove top, still no good, only worked on the high speed. Then, i brought it to his attention, and he said "you should be thankful you have at least one side working." He could not take off the freezer part which needed to be fixed (which the other company came after him, and did it in one minute). We had to defrost the entire fridge and freezer for him twice, still, no use. He likes to come multiple times before actually doing anything, and each time he would tell us he can't do anything for it at the moment. Yet again, they still did not deliver. Not only have they been putting our service off, but they have not been delivering what is expected from them as a company, and as a business. Their customer service was absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful, and very unhelpful. When I tried to call them to tell them that I am not satisfied with their service, they said "Call Homeshield, and let them get you another company". My experience with this company has been a nightmare. I have been waiting for 2 months for this company to complete a repair in my home. I've had to call them back concerning an item they attempted to repair; at which time the older tech was being rude to the trainee instead of teaching him how to fix the item he was belittling him. They also forgot to follow up on the status of a part delivery, I call the office to be told they're short-handed that's why I wasn't called back concerning my work order, the last tech that was assigned to complete to repairs was more concerned about starting his weekend instead of the job and to top it all of they ordered the wrong part. American Home Shield sent out clown #1: "Don" to diagnose why our 2 of our cooktop burners wouldn't ignite, and the other 2 were hard to turn on. He said it was because there was too much of a "breeze" in our kitchen and they keep blowing out. We live in a very normal house with very normal a/c and heating vents, windows are closed and you can feel no "breeze" whatsoever. I told him he had to be kidding and he said no. I said, what do people do then, turn off their heat and AC every time they want to cook on their cooktop? The guy went on his way and I complained to the home warranty company that this was ridiculous. So Quality Services sends out clown #2: "Kevin" who came out and said the same thing. We finally had a real appliance company come out and he immediately said we needed 4 brand new ignitors, as the range was 11 years old and they were worn down. I told him what Quality Services said and he laughed hard. He said you'd need like a 220 mph wind for those not to light. Obviously Quality Services wanted to avoid doing any work, probably because they don't get great reimbursement from Amer. Home Shield, but want to collect their $60 trip charge. I looked online and there is not one mention of Quality Services-- no website, no reviews, nothing and their card says they've been around since 1985. Very strange.
