Restaurant using an outdated banquet room for overflow.
    Bradley T.

Overall, the service was pretty good, the food was decent, but the atmosphere / ambience was lacking. After seeing that was, there was clearly places available in the main restaurant, they relocated us to a banquet room with tables. The carpeting was rather ragged. I also think some additional server training is need. I would recommend this place over the downtown Vernal steakhouse. Located in Quality Inn building.

We really enjoyed this place. Looking for somewhere to eat that's open Sunday and the vibe, the food, the service were all a lot of fun. You're not going to eat a Ruth Chris style steak, but mine was perfectly cooked and with an old school seasoning that reminded me a way better sizzler. Everything was very clearly homemade. And my kids LOVED the desserts. Great for our family and very tasty. Plus the service was great.

Steak was mostly fat and it was slimy. Salad had old tasting veggies. Service was pretty good. The building had a little bit of rundown vibes but was alright overall the food is the only reason I give it below 3 stars.

First time going here and the service was great! We ordered a steak salad and chicken caesar salad and they were absolutely amazing! Best steak salad I have ever had hands down. Both entrees were very fresh and well presented. Our hostess was on the ball, our server was great and so very friendly, would highly recommend!

Fresh baked bread (passed the taste test), with whipped cinnamon butter.

Had the Steak Salad, which was one of the best I've had anywhere. Delicious! Lettuce and cucumbers were crisp, tomatoes fresh, and balsamic dressing just tangy enough. The real bonus was the fresh baked bread with cinnamon butter, which ai ate as dessert. This isn't a fancy place, but clean and service was just-right.

    filet with blue cheese. yummy.

Likely the best restaurant you will find on 40Hwy between Salt Lake and Denver, especially one with a liquor license. Great beef, especially filet mignon. Utah/steakhouse, easy choice.

    Amazing bread and cinnamon butter.

Everyone was friendly, thumbs up for the service. The menu was on the pricey side, but not outrageous. The music was at the perfect level, low enough to allow you to carry on a conversation without yelling. It was still noisy, though. The surprising number of kids there at lunch didn't help. TVs hung from the walls, with the volume off. I ordered baked wings, naked with Cajun dry rub. They were slightly overcooked, otherwise the flavor was ok. Average. They weren't spicy to me at all though they claim the Cajun is supposed to be. Most disappointing is how tiny the wings were. I spent most of my time searching for any meat. Seven teeny tiny wings for 12 bucks. Very disappointing. I'd love a beer. It looks like a good selection, especially for Utah. Gout though. Ugh. My score: 4.5 stars for service, one for value, one for wing size, and three stars for taste, what little meat I could find to taste. Total? Two stars.

TL;DR - service and ribs made up for underwhelming aspects of an overall satisfying visit…read more This is a nice place - probably a 3 star, but it had enough redeeming qualities that it earned a four star. Upon entry, it was confusing: half the place is a bar, and half is family-friendly; however, there's no signage to indicate whether you seat yourself or wait to be seated. We got there around the same time as a large family got there, so we were just waiting around on the door mat, waiting dumbly. We had to wait for quite a while and there were plenty of empty tables that we could see. Once seated, however, it was nice. Our server was the paramount of cheery welcome. The beer samples are very affordable (like 0.50), so I got one of each beer on tap - all from Vernal Brewing Company (which was closed because Sunday). That said, there were only 3 sampling glasses - I think our server decided not to charge us for the 8 samples. Then, we got grilled cheese and Mac and cheese meals for the kids, 1/4 rack of ribs with side salad and fries. The grilled cheese came on Texas toast (read: thick), the Mac and cheese looked a lot like Kraft white cheddar. The fries were tough (either overcooked or stale before cooked), but they tasted really good, so they ended up being a highlight. The side salad was a bowl full of lettuce with an assortment of toppings sectioned on top (sliced tomatoes, whole olives, cheese, onions, cucumber, pepperoncini) overall, not bad, but without the space to mix the greens and/or mix it with the dressing, it was unwieldy. We ended up deconstructing and taking bites of lettuce dipped in blue cheese. The ribs were phenomenal - well cooked (juicy and tender but falling off the bone). The price we paid, however was less than optimal for a somewhat underwhelming salad and overdone fries (also, kids meals got more fries than the quarter rack of ribs). Overall, we had a big hiking day before evening rain, so it hit the spot. Would try again, though there may be other, more value-for-the-dollar places to check out if you're in Vernal on a Sunday.
