Like didn't have anything. How do you not have more vapes if your name is "The Vape Shop." More like "The Flop Shop."

I have been going to this shop for some time now as I work right down the street from it. The owner Jon is great, has knowledge of all the products and NEVER try's to upsell you on anything. He listens to your concerns, wants and needs and answers correctly. The prices are reasonable and he has an amazing selection of juices. Jon takes care is me everything I'm in there and I recommend his sho to anyone that's in the area. I had read a lot of positive reviews for TVS and I was ultimately disappointed when I visited the location off of Chestnut Hill Ave. I had recently spoken to a friend about vaping CBD oil and I went to this location to try and learn a little more and purchase a vaping pen and CBD. I walked in and was greeted by the lone employee. I told the employee that I'm a complete newbie but was interested in CBD and vaping. At first he seemed confused about CBD but eventually he showed me a vaping pen and CBD. The employee didn't explain the benefits of that pen over others, didn't explain the different power modes, didn't explain any other safety measures that I should know. He asked me to pick a flavor (Side note: I had read a review from the Brighton store, where a newbie was given the option to sample flavors, and at the very least get to smell the different flavors, which this employee did not do) and I said I wasn't sure. His exact response was "Well, I can't make all the decisions for you". At that point, he could have assisted me with making the decision. It's obviously personal preference but have other customers preferred one over the other? Is there one that he recommends?? This employee didn't seem interested in this sale at all. I eventually made a decision, made my purchase and quickly exited the store. I had been apprehensive about going into the store to ask about vaping and the employee didn't help with that at all. I made a yelp account just to comment on this store. My brief time trying to just purchase a atomizer from a common brand turned into the most disgusting retail interaction I have ever had. Among all the vape stores I have been to in Boston, I have never seen such lack of knowledge, incompetence, and downright messed up behavior than at this 'bro' vape store. I came in to get a simple common atomizer for my tank. I came in, walked around for a bit because there was no employee around, noticed it was pricier than my usual stop in RI, but saw they had the atomizer brand I was looking for behind the counter. Some guy finally came out, I told him I was looking for 0.4 ohms for this specific tank or anything that fits. This kid looked confused and said he is not sure they make that, and I said that's ok (they do, I buy it all the time), and just asked do you have any-ohm atomizer that fits and pointed to the brand on the shelf. He starts explaining to me about the different companies, asks to see me vape, I give it to him he looks confused, but keeps on try to explain about coils and companies, blah blah. I try to be super friendly and just ask verbatim, "do you mind if I could see some of those atomizers?" He's still holding my vape, I'm seeing like 4 different packages for the tank I am buying for, I just ask if I can physically look at what they sell. Already I'm started to feel weirded out by this... and then he responds... "Are you OK bro? You having a bad day, you seem irritable?" I couldn't believe it, I was trying so hard to be respectful and courteous, and I was doing just fine at it. I just asked if I could see what they had! I try to keep my cool and say, "i'm doing just fine, do you mind if I could look at those atomizers right there?" And he responds, "are you having a bad day? I'm trying to explain to you about the atomizers and you won't listen." I almost couldn't stand how much I wanted to lose it. I try to respond calmly and just say it's fine I would just like to buy one of thoise atomizers for my tank. He responds equally friggin insane and I just start to tell him this is ridiculous, I can't understand why you have totally escalated this, I just want to buy a coil for my tank! It goes on for a second, I ask for my vape back, and ask can I please just see the atomizers and buy one. He says I will sell this to the next customer that comes in, everyone thinks I am super nice guy, I won't sell to you, get out my store. I can't even express how pissed off and disrespected and just confused I was. I asked if I could speak to a manager earlier, he said no, and so as I leave I say I will call later to talk to a manager and he says, it won't matter the owner is my buddy and laughed. I end up going to Vape Daddys in Newton/Nonantum. It was farther from me but I had been there before and always was really well taken care of. I told them what happened at the Vape Shop, and they were laughing and saying, ya that place is notoriously terrible, the owner is not a good guy, and hires bad people. you are not the first to tell us about that place. They were so nice to me, helped me get exactly what I needed, even testing out some new things, and gave me some nice freebies. This nice guy Marco even put the new atomizer in for me, showed me how he does it. Told me anytime you need anything we'll take care of you. I quit cigs with vaping. I just need to get the stuff to make it work. And that requires these specialty shops; for better or worse. I felt like going here, and then to Vape Daddys after was like sampling the absolute worst of that and then the nicest and most competent community part of that. IN SHORT: If you care about Boston, vaping, etc, don't come here. Don't support this place. There is no reason to ever buy vape stuff from this store. I had previously been to their shop in Brighton and was super excited to find they opened another shop in Cleveland Circle, which is even closer to me. I have had great experiences with them in the past so went in today to grab some juices and coils and dealt with Jonathan the owner. He is amazing. Answered all my questions and was super patient with my questions and very attentive. They also seemed to have a lot of juice selections and other equipment on hand.
