My recent experience with Advanced Radiology Consultants has been extremely disappointing due to…read moretheir current scheduling and insurance verification process. Before staff will even answer basic questions or assist with scheduling, callers are required to locate their insurance card and provide a verification reference number--every single time. This applies even if the patient has already been seen and the information is already on file. This policy creates an unnecessary barrier for patients and caregivers who are simply trying to coordinate medical care. Most healthcare offices maintain insurance information on file and update it when needed. Requiring patients to repeatedly produce the same details before even having a conversation is inefficient and not patient-centered. As someone coordinating care for a parent living with Parkinson's disease and significant mobility limitations, this process is especially problematic. When managing appointments for individuals with serious health conditions, the focus should be on facilitating care--not adding administrative obstacles just to speak with a staff member. With an aging population and increasing healthcare needs--particularly among baby boomers--systems like this will only create more frustration for patients and their families. I strongly encourage Advanced Radiology leadership to reevaluate this policy and implement a process that prioritizes accessibility, common sense, and patient care. Sincerely, David Vizcarrondo

He explained everything from start to finish and even during the MRI talked to me to tell me timing of each session. Made sure I was comfortable. I asked for the results and he assured me someone would call the same day in the afternoon. Sure enough by 1:00 I received the phone call with the results. I waited for about an hour to have my MRI done and when I went to the front desk I was told that they just received a message from the technician that the machine had overheated and it would take about an hour to cool down. Their machine is located on the parking lot of the location. I elected not to stay and was turned off by the entire experience. Some of the people I came in contact with seemed like they were unhappy working there and it reflected on how they treated the people who were waiting. I would not recommend anyone go to this location. It was not welcoming in any way and I question whether their safety standards are up to par. I recently went to their office in Danbury, Connecticut and it was night and day. It was extremely professional every step of the way. My advice... if you have to use Northeast go to their Danbury location... you will not be disappointed.

I explained that this is a $90 item that once removed cannot be reused. I asked the receptionist to look up the model CGM I used (Abbott Libre Freestyle 3 Plus) to determine if it was safe to wear during an MRI. She saw that it was safe to wear. Unfortunately, the idiot, ignorant, uneducated mutt of a technician still wouldn't do the MRI unless I removed the CGM. The receptionist showed him the information that appeared on the Abbott website, yet he refused to do the MRI when the article CLEARLY STATED THAT THE LIBRE 3 PLUS IS SAFE FOR AN MRI. So, if you are a diabetic wearing this type of CGM find another location. Additionally, if you are willing to have an MRI, or any other imaging done by some lowlife stupid, uneducated, ignorant fool technician, this is the place to go. Otherwise, find another imaging facility that employs knowledgeable staff.

The technicians who perform the imaging tests (Diagnostic Mammo and Ultra sound) were both very professional and understanding. ********** IF I COULD GIVE NRC 10 STARS I WOULD!!! **********…read more I am a senior who has been to dozens of doctors and and medical centers during my lifetime. Some were OK, while others were awful! By far, having my mammogram performed by Norwalk Radiology Consultants was the BEST experience I ever received. To begin when I called to schedule my appointment, a PERSON [Melissa] answered the phone. I mentioned that I did not have a mammogram in over 10 years. We discussed my Medicare insurance. I was informed a mammogram screening would be covered but that an ultrasound, if I wanted one, involved a fee since Medicare no longer covered it as part of a routine screening. I opted for the mammogram screening without the ultrasound. NRC immediately sent a thank you email to me for booking my appointment with them. They provided me with an electronic medical record release form that I forwarded to my prior radiologist. When I arrived for my October appointment, Trea and Erica warmly greeted me. I simply handed my driver license and insurance cards and I was set! No reams of paper nor e-forms to fill out. Rather I was handed a beautiful pink insulated tote bag. How very nice indeed! After a very brief wait (I arrived early for my appointment), Liza walked me to my private dressing room and then I went for my mammogram. Although my appointment was on a Monday afternoon, NRC called my home the following day at 8:59AM with my results. Wow, what service! In addition, my results were sent to my PCP. Super !!! When I arrived home, I turned on my computer and was pleasantly surprised to receive another "thank you" email for my visit. Finally, a hard copy of my report was received in the mail within 3 days. ========================================================= Ladies, if you are searching for a warm wonderful staff to perform your mammogram please call Norwalk Radiology Consultants, 203-276-4311 and set up your appointment. You will be so glad that you did! Indeed I am happy I came here. NOTE: the address is 148 East Avenue, Suite IM on the First floor ========================================================= Their website states: "Our professional staff serves patients with respect and compassion. Each member of Norwalk Radiology Consultants is committed to providing individualized attention to your specific exam needs, every step of the way." Thank you to the outstanding NRC staff: Trea Needham, Erica Davis, Liza Benetiz, Dr. Culver, and Office Manager Pooja Soni for providing me with an exceptionally warm and professional experience every step of the way! I look forward to returning to NRC for my next mammogram and I already told my friends about by visit.
