Javier the bartender was all about service - Top notch service. He made us feel right at home. He was always watching to make sure that our needs out were met. Sam was our waitress and she was lovely. She did disappear here and there but Javier had her flank. I think they were short-staffed as Sam had made mention. All Good. I would dine here again. Oh! I had to Flat Iron Steak. Have that - comes with 3 nice sized grilled shrimp :-) Ken

This place was amazing. When we met up with friends, plus family we all decided to have dinner together which then was like oh wow a lot of people on a Saturday night with no reservations? Uh ohhh lol. After being told 9 pm at another place, yeah let us just walk around for 4 hours until dinner with a back then 3 year old lol. We remembered seeing this place and walked over. Right away we were seated so this place saved the day. The vault was really cool looking and food was delicious. We had the best waiter who took care of us so well. It was a great end to our trip and like I said saved the day by managing to get us in with no reservations and 7 people. The waiter we had, seriously best waiter ever and we eat out all the time.

We were in the area for a hike, and stopped in Beacon for dinner. The Vault had outdoor seating, and sat us right away. Post drinks, we ordered shishito peppers (quite tasty) and roasted beets (decent) as appetizers. One of us had the angus burger with truffle fries and I had the southwestern salad with seared tuna. The salad was great though the tuna was quite bland and I regretted not ordering the chicken on top or leaving the salad without a protein. The food though was promptly brought out and the staff was efficient. The outside area was covered and it was quiet enough to talk at normal voices. One minor issue was my chair and it's relationship to the height of the table -- I had to sit on my leg to feel like I could reach my food.

Outstanding food and service! Loved the entrees and drinks. The spicy margarita was amazing and I live in the heart of Texas.

I love the town of beacon. So many great places to shop and eat. The vault is our new spot for brunch and what makes it more favorable is that their dog friendly. They have a great sitting area outside to enjoy, As we sat down to order, the first thing I said was "I hope they have mimosa" the waitress who was super friendly and kind must of heard me said they have a $6 brunch special for mimosas and bloody Mary's, so I went with my usual a grand mimosa. Everything on the menu, eventhough a bit pricey sounded delicious, we went ahead an started with an order of truffle fries (delicious) and their short rib grilled cheese (which was amazingly good) after my appetizers I ordered a kale ceaser with grilled shrimp. I wasn't a fan of that kale salad which came with sardines that made the salad very salty, however the shrimp was nice and fresh. Overall I enjoyed this place a lot, I'm hoping to return very soon this summer and this time I'll definitely bring my dog milo.

This photo is all that was left when I remembered to snap a pic! I came here with some coworkers for a business dinner. We ordered several of the tapas, including the Mac n cheese, iron steak, Buffalo cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, potatoe croquets and short rib grilled cheese. The food was great! The bartender was also personable and very knowledgeable about cocktails. He asked us questions about flavors and preferred liquor and then crafted us some amazing cocktails. For dessert, I obviously had the churros ... one of my faves! This restaurant is a small space and there are maybe 7 seats at the bar top. It was quiet on the Thursday night we were there, which was great for chatting. We got lucky with this restaurant pick. The menu was reasonably priced. Unfortunately, this place closes on the earlier side, but there were plenty of other bars nearby still open to continue our night. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be sure to stop by!

This place is OK, that's it. The food is extremely average. I am a vegetarian and they had some options. I ordered the fried cauliflower and Mac and cheese. The fried cauliflower was decent, not the best I've had but certainly not the worst; prob the only thing we truly enjoyed. The Mac and cheese was ... dare I say... too cheesy? The sauce was liquidy and either needed to be thicker or more noodles. My husband got the chicken tinga tacos and just from the look of it- it lacked flavor. They also have NO HOT SAUCE?? We asked and were told they could offer the buffalo sauce the cauliflower came in.... uhhh no thanks.

This is a great addition to Beacon! Absolutely love the atmosphere and service was friendly and attentive. The menu is filled with lots of small plates which are always fun to share and allow you to taste a bunch of different things without feeling guilty! The food was not bad by any means but some dishes could have been better with a bit more flavor. But overall I would definitely come back to taste more!

I like a lot of things about The Vault. All of the food is beautiful. In the summertime, sitting outside is fantastic. Some of the food is quite tasty (shortrib grilled cheese, crispy brussels sprouts and the brûlée figs are definitely winners). For the garlic parmesan wings, they don't mean a mere rub. They dump a ton of melty parmesan over the top of the wings. Brian, our server, knows what he's doing. He's friendly, attentive without being annoying, and made great recommendations. As good as servers get, and a credit to the whole organization. Unfortunately, there are also some things I don't love about The Vault. The food is prettier than it is tasty. There's so much emphasis on presentation that I think the cookery suffers in some cases. The scallops are gorgeous, but I'd trade the edible flowers and excellent sear for more seasoning and perhaps a fresher scallop. The salmon cake sliders could've used both salt and acid, and the salmon was overcooked and dry as well. The brûlée figs were not only stunning visually, but a tasty bite as well. Actually four tiny, tasty bites for $10, but I could've taken them all down in one. Most restaurants in Manhattan wouldn't dare serve such tiny portions for the money, and I imagine their rent is worse than The Vault's. I'll be back for more pretty plates and wine and beer in the sunshine, but I do wish all the food lived up to the promise of its presentation, and that some of the plates presented a little more value for the money.

Hubby and I went here on a last minute decision , and they were able to accommodate us at the bar (preferred), and we were 6 feet from others. Great cocktails, AHHHHMAZING food, and the staff was extremely pleasant. The bonus was the vault behind the bar - so fun to look at when we were there. Definitely coming back!!

Cutoff after one drink. How insulting. Spent close to $400 and refused a second drink.

With no reservations, we leisurely walked in and hostess sat us by the window. It instantly, gave us a wide view of Vault's details: dark wood floors, soft glow from hanging lamps- even during the day and exposed brick walls......come on. What also gives Vault more sazz, is the painted-over tin ceiling that just gives off nice touches of vintage and charm. All combined, the setup does it right! Even though it wasn't Brunch, I still started with a Mimosa on a lazy Monday afternoon. Settled on Stewed Mussels and Shrimp Bisque and our server, was kind enough to go to the kitchen and had cooks, retrofitting my Mussel dish without the chorizo. Thank you! Mussels in tomato-based broth were flavorful- but what really got me drooling was my Shrimp Bisque with Chili and Cilantro oils. Prices (as I remember) seemed fair and nothing was too over the top for Vault's range of menu items. There was some random slowness but our server, whose name I didn't catch, seemed on top! The afternoon here was definitely calm, cool and collected. Can I base my opinion on just a few meals? Yeah...I think so. Could I recommend anyone to check out Vault? I don't see why not. Story would be different if I had a horrible experience- which I didn't.

    The Vault is outstanding!

Friendly waitress answered our menu questions and took our order quickly. We had the bar pretzel, grilled chicken sandwich, the mushroom burger and Chocolate Chip Lava cake. On a trip to Colorado, Kihlmire visited a shop that featured an abundance of books and records. He came up with an idea to open a similar shop that would also feature craft beer. Kihlmire initially opened The Vinyl Room by himself in Wappingers Falls. In addition to beer, records, and video games, customers could also enjoy pizza by ordering it through a special window that connected to the Wagon Wheel next door. Although the concept was well-received, the small space and constraints from the landlord limited the full potential of the business. In July 2021, it moved to a new space at 344 Main Street in Beacon. Customers could order food from Roma Nova across the street. Unfortunately, the space was still too small and the owners received numerous noise complaints from apartment tenants upstairs. In August 2023, The Vinyl Room moved down the street to 393 Main Street to their third (and hopefully forever) location. For the latest version of the business, childhood friend Kane Licari came on board as a partner. This also marks the first time that The Vinyl Room features a kitchen with their own food. The menu features burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, rice bowls, tacos, wings, and various bar bites. In addition to craft beer, the bar also serves wine, craft cocktails, and mocktails. I recently visited The Vinyl Room for lunch with my two sons while we were visiting Beacon. Any place that features craft beer, records, and classic arcade cabinets sounds like Heaven to someone like me. I really liked the whole vibe of the interior with the industrial design and all of the pop culture and music references. My sons and I grabbed a booth and looked over the menu. For food, I had the "Crunchy Chicken Bowl" (sushi rice, pickled onions, avocado, arugula, charred corn, chili garlic crunch, creamy garlic sauce), my older son had the "Grilled Cheese" (Vermont white cheddar, havarti, slow roasted onions, roasted garlic butter, sourdough), and my younger son had the "Return of The Mac" (smoked gouda Vermont cheddar cream, buttery breadcrumbs). We were all very happy with our choices! To drink, I had a draught pour of Upward Brewing's "Summer Camp" (Helles Lager). After finishing our delicious meal, I scrolled through the impressive record collection. Then we all headed downstairs to have a blast in the arcade. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Equilibrium Brewery's "Tidal Balance" (Double IPA; collab w/ Sand City Brewing). We all had such a fun experience at The Vinyl Room and we hope to return in the future!

Others were ahead of me, so I patiently waited to order: Tripple Smash Burger, Honey Buffalo Salad, Purple Rain (2), Diet Coke. I paid at the bar, served the drinks and waited for our food. The music was 80's MTV Themed {Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi, Bruuuce, Billy Idol}. Jenga, Horrible Couple and Cards Against Humanity were on the tables to pass the time. Or flip through the many records available for purchase until the food arrives. The salad was large in size and very good. Been a while since I had a burger, and this filled the void. Fries were not that hot, but we ate them anyway. Afterwards, we went downstairs and played some old school arcade games and then headed out. Upon leaving we saw someone was having a birthday party, which was nice to see. I'm sure in the summer this place gets packed. They also have a selection of draught beer (The proper way to spell it). Good choice for food, although it wasn't cheap. Bill w/tip was $100. I think having a server on staff for all hours would be a good decision for TVR to make, in order to TCB !

But when I want to have an elevated experience with a nod to fine dining, this is my go-to. I always bring friends from out of town here and everyone is impressed. The bartenders make the best martinis and Manhattans you'll find, along with a seasonal cocktail menu that features something for everyone, including mocktails. When I don't want a full dining experience but the hubs and I have a babysitter, we like to sit at the bar for martinis and oysters - SO FRESH! If you don't do oysters, anything on the appetizers list is a wonderful light bite. I don't know what kind of magic the chef uses to make the salads but they are always simple, yet stunning. For dinner, the steak is hard to pass up if you eat red meat. I usually get the single serving NY strip, which is incredible. You can't go wrong. I'm excited to try the porterhouse for 2. My mollusk loving friend raved about the mussels and the fish selection is fantastic. I'm not a big dessert person, but splitting any of the desserts is a treat. Alternatively, the digestif selection doesn't disappoint. The bartenders and bar manager, Nick, are helpful in guiding your taste buds to the right choice. Bud, the owner, whose previous establishments can be read about in some respectfully placed articles around the restaurant, is always accommodating for the busiest place in town. It's nearly impossible to get a seat on Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9, but he will be honest and create a space at one of the little side bar areas if he can. The ambiance is sexy and sophisticated with a touch of whimsy. The toilet paper holder in the restroom always makes me smile (IYKYK). Having been to this restaurant many times, you'll start to see familiar faces as there is now a strong regular crowd. The community and connections that I've found while at Lyonshare have enhanced my experience of living in Beacon. Oh, last thing - brunch is a can't miss, must do culinary event.

First, the bartender was so lovely! I don't drink so I was truly impressed with the number of non-alcoholic beverage options available. I initially ordered a non-alcoholic drink, but then I saw the Shark Attack Mocktail and asked if I could switch to that. Thankfully I caught her right before she started making the first drink! The mocktail was sooo cute and actually really tasty! (See photo I included). I loved the theme of it, especially as summertime is officially here. Now let's talk about the arcade part of this place! The machines take quarters, so use the ones you have in your pocket! No quarters? No problem! They have a machine that will give you them, however it only accepts $1 and $5 bills. No cash? Also not a problem! They have an ATM on site. They really did think of everything, here! Most of the games are old skool, such as Pac-Man, Pinball, Dance Dance Revolution, etc. They also have a claw machine, however it's rigged so don't waste your time or quarters on it (which is exactly what I did, hahah!). Pac-Man is two players and my husband and I had a lot of fun with that one! I also LOVED Dance Dance Revolution (located in the far left corner in the back, behind the bar area) and wish I had found it before I wasted most of our quarters. Most of the games take anywhere from $0.50 to $1 to play, so keep that in mind. The patio is very large and much quieter compared to inside. I loved the atmosphere with all the string lights! They also have two little seating areas that are gated (which kind of look like adult playhouses?) which I think would be an awesome spot to chill with your friends + your dog. No fear of your pup running off! Regarding food: they do have a small menu, however it's mostly snack items like mozzarella sticks, a giant pretzel, things to that nature. What's cool, though, is that they offer vegan chicken nuggets!! Not a lot of bars have these, so it's definitely worth noting. 11/10 recommend that you stop in here while visiting Beacon! We absolutely loved it and would come back in a heartbeat!

It was founded by husband and wife Johnny Coughlin and Alyssa Follansbee. Coughlin is a cinematographer by trade while Follansbee is a public school art teacher. In 2011, the couple were both living in the Wicker Park area of Chicago. When the Emporium Arcade bar opened in their neighborhood, they both fell in love with the concept of an arcade bar. They later moved to New York City and visited as many arcade bars as they could with the intent to one day open one of their own. By 2018, the couple relocated upstate to Beacon to start a family. It dawned on them that Beacon would be a great location to open a "barcade". The couple didn't just want to open a place for adults to chase the nostalgia of their childhood, but rather a place that the whole family could enjoy. After securing a location on Main Street, and after a short delay from the COVID-19 pandemic, Happy Valley Arcade Bar finally opened to the public. I recently visited Happy Valley with my two sons while we were visiting Beacon. I've loved arcade bars since the first time I visited a Barcade location in 2014. I love sipping on excellent craft beers while enjoying the classic arcade cabinets of my youth. I also appreciate it when arcade bars are family friendly, as both of my sons have also taken an interest in arcade games. We all enjoyed the interior of Happy Valley with all of the crazy colors and spaceship-themed decor on the walls. There was a decent selection of classic arcade cabinets as well as pinball machines, both of which kept my sons occupied for a while. In addition to a nice selection of craft beer on draught, the bar also offers wine, craft cocktails, non-alcoholic options, and various bar bites such as chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and mac 'n' cheese bites. There were also plenty of seating options both inside and outside. We had already eaten lunch earlier, but I was definitely in the mood for some tasty brews while I played some games. I first enjoyed a Thin Man Brewery's "Pills Mafia" (German Pilsner) followed by an Old Glenham Brewery's "Weaver's Pale Ale" [on cask]. Both of them were flavorful and refreshing. We ended up staying for over an hour; it was nice bonding time for my sons and me. We will definitely stop in again the next time we're visiting Beacon!
