Sesame crusted tuna

This place is fantastic! Private parking off Main Street, a cozy yet sophisticated dining environment and a wonderful menu. My friend go the lamb shank and I got the seared crusted tuna and it was fabulous! We also tried the tiramisu which was amazing. Our server was attentive and very nice. We will be back!

I've been coming here for years. When a restaurant is consistently this good you sometimes forget to show it some love. Wonderful cocktails and wines. Truly delicious food always beautifully presented. Super friendly owner and staff. Great, personal service. Relaxed, welcoming vibe. A vacation for the mind, spirit, and palette. Go and enjoy!

Our first time here and we would come back. We found this place on Yelp so thank you to all the good reviewers! I'm finally starting to taste food again after too many weeks after having COVID and everything sensed to be bursting with freshness and flavor. The complimentary bread and spread was tasty, crunchy and light. Both the chicken and French onion soups were tasty and not overly salted. However they might have used too many vidalia onions so a tad too sweet. The chicken soup tasted home made. The mediterranean salad was a good mix of fresh greens, a-hearts, eggplant, olives, tomatoes mozzarella and roasted red peppers. The extra chicken for $6 made it a meal. The lobster ravioli had nice sized pieces of lobster but the mushroom sauce was too overpowering and not a good match. The wait staff were friends and efficient. Overall a happy accident T that we ended up here and we will definitely try them again.

What happens when a colonial home which feels like george Washinoton could be strumming through at any moment meets fine Italian cuisine. Welcome to Sotano. The food was awesome--the service sluggish but ok. The veal parmigiana was a little soggy and under seasoned. The feta salad was nicely dressed and well portioned. No browned lettuce and not soggy.

Our dinner plans on Mother's Days fell through and we called around to find somewhere to go to…read morecelebrate Mother's Day with my family. We were able to get last minute reservations for prime dinner time at Fishkill Prime. Upon arrival we saw that they had decorated nicely for the occasion. We were given a choice of which dining room to be seated in. Sadly, I was on medication that I can't mix with liquor, so it was just a Diet Coke for me. They were offering complementary wine spritzers to all the mothers. We ordered the escargot and Brussels sprouts to start. The escargot was good, but the Brussels sprouts were the star of the show! My husband makes incredible Brussels sprouts at home, even he had to admit that these were far superior to his own. For our entrees I ordered the duck and it was amazing. My husband ordered the ribeye. He said it was very good but a little on the salty side. Our daughter ordered the sea bass and said it was very good. This is definitely a great place for a date night or to celebrate a special occasion. We will definitely be back and I will try their cocktails when we do.

We recently visited Fishkill Prime and overall I'd give it about 3.5 stars. The restaurant has an…read moreupscale atmosphere and the pricing definitely reflects a higher-end dining experience, so we came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, the appetizers were a rough start. The lobster bisque was very watery/liquidy, and the lobster itself was tough. The Brussels sprouts were also overcooked. That said, the staff handled the situation very well and were extremely attentive and accommodating when we sent the soup back. The main entrées were much better and really saved the experience. I had the sea bass, my husband ordered the ribeye, and my sister-in-law had the veal -- all were hot, flavorful, and cooked very well. The veal was especially tender. Service throughout the evening was excellent, and you can tell the team is trying hard to make this newer restaurant successful. Overall, while the appetizers and overall execution didn't quite match the upscale price point yet, the entrées and attentive staff gave us enough reason to come back and give them another try. Hopefully, with a little refinement, especially on the starters, they can grow into the fine dining experience they're aiming for.

I have read many past reviews. I think this is a place that few areas have. It's a unique place,…read morethat serves thoughtfully crafted dishes. The main theme seems to be fresh fish, seafood, and it seems fresh everything else. (Confirmed that they get fresh shipments daily). With reservations for 9 at 6:30 on a Monday, where many places are closed, we walked into a fully booked restaurant. Our giant table stood out amongst all the other full tables that were in various stages of dining. So, we took up a decent amount of the restaurant space. A reunion with family and so were happy to talk and have some bread, and drinks while they were wrapping up their other patrons also enjoying themselves. The main purpose seemed to be to time taking our orders in a way that they would come out properly. As the food came out, it was one wonderful dish after another. I could name and describe eschar one, but fresh and flavorful is the best way. I can imagine that at the time when we arrived that the kitchen was hopping. The chefs seemed to focus very well on each individual order, so of course it took some, but not excessive time. As it took a little while to start we also were not rushed out. Perhaps if we had gotten there at 5 then I suppose we might have been moved along some, since restaurants need to get some turnover at the peak hours, we were happy to offer some well rewarded patience, which was reciprocated with polite, warm, service and great food. This is a regular place for locals who know what they like. It is well worth putting some effort in to explore the various foods and drinks offered, as they were all exceptional. So, I must give it 5 stars. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is unique and actually stunning, especially during daylight where you are overlooking the Hudson and into the mountains across the river. Thus, it is a great landmark establishment of the Newburgh area.

I just want to take a moment and apologize...TO ABSOLUTELY NOBODY*flips table* *wet seafood noises*…read moregod I've been thinking about this place since I went. It was my first time ever doing anything like this. Normally I'm very picky with seafood and complicated ways to eat food usually sends me. But this was sooooo good. None of the food was "fishy" all of it tasted amazing. Definitely suggest getting the option with all of the spices. The flavor was crazy. Really had such a fun time. Highly suggest going with a group of friends because it makes it that much more entertaining. Loved how the wall was covered in signatures. Super affordable for the type and amount of food you're getting. A decent amount of other options too if someone in your party isn't a seafood person. 10/10 I want to go back so bad

We were seated immediately, which was a great start. They serve Pepsi products, beer, and wine--no cocktails or hard liquor, so just a heads-up if that's your thing. The place has a casual seaside harbor vibe, with wood plank walls covered in sharpie graffiti. Nothing's off-limits; guests are encouraged to leave their mark. Our server, Kristy, was fantastic--patient, friendly, and really knowledgeable. She walked us through the menu and made sure all of our modifications (no corn or potatoes) were taken care of without any issue. I went with two snow crab clusters and half a pound of shrimp, tossed in a mix of all their house flavors. My husband chose the lobster tail and shrimp in butter garlic sauce. We both got a side of coleslaw. Our food came out fast--maybe in under ten minutes--and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Everything was cooked just right. The crab legs cracked open easily, the shrimp were tender, and the sauce? A buttery, garlicky Cajun dream--I could've honestly sipped it. This place definitely satisfied the craving, and I'll be back the next time it hits. Honestly, I might not even wait for my husband to tag along next time.

The service has also been excellent, and it's hard to complain about the beautiful patio seating overlooking the water. Now, let's get to the meat of the issue--no pun intended. My girlfriend ordered the NY Strip steak medium rare. It arrived completely well done--not even remotely close to what was ordered. We politely asked our server (who was great throughout the entire experience) if the kitchen could remake it medium rare. A few minutes later, a replacement steak arrived that was somehow even more overcooked than the first one. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. We were initially offered 50% off the steak, but in what world should anyone pay even a penny for a $40 steak that was overcooked twice? Unfortunately, the manager was combative from the start and essentially implied that he didn't believe my girlfriend hadn't eaten the steak. Anyone who enjoys steak rare or medium rare knows that a well-done hockey puck isn't exactly appetizing. After he stormed off, the steak was ultimately removed from the bill. However, the entire interaction felt unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional. As a former restaurant manager myself, I would have immediately comped the steak and apologized for the mistake. In fact, given that the kitchen failed twice to cook a steak anywhere near the requested temperature, I would have strongly considered comping the entire meal out of embarrassment. It's unfortunate because the food is generally very good and the location is beautiful. What should have been a simple service recovery turned into a disappointing experience because of how management handled the situation.
