I frequent vault whenever I am in need of skating supply. Been going here for more than 3 years. Snapped my former deck on my day off and needed a new deck ASAP. Vault had a variety selection (sizes, brands, styles, etc.) and they get new decks every couple weeks. Jake was relatable, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Jake set up my new board for me in like 10 minutes!!! Much appreciated, thank you Jake! Stumbled upon this place randomly, which was convenient, because I needed a new skateboard to ride around Davis. The guy at the front desk was SUPER helpful. He pointed me in the right direction for all the parts I should get for the perfect mixture of quality and cheapness. He was really knowledgeable, too! I'd ask about certain wheels, or what made this bearing better than that, or why I should stick to this set of trucks as opposed to another set. Oh yeah - the skateboard prices are actually quite affordable compared to most other skate shops I've been to in East Bay. Walked out very happy, and with a cool skateboard that I'm incredibly satisfied to be riding in. I guess my only complaint was that the wheel selection wasn't as big as other places I've been to in the East Bay, but that's honestly pretty nitpicky, and I still walked out with a good skateboard. Oh yeah - the place has a really cool layout, too, and the employees play pretty killer music. This place is great if you're a skateboarder/longboarder or anyone looking to get into the sport! read more

This place replace the old skate shop ground zero.. It's half the size of the old shop but really killer layout inside.. As yℴu walk in you're greeted by very friendly staff and their super helpful.. I stopped here during their soft opening it was also a private party but they still let me in to look around... They have skateboard and the gear for it, snowboards, apparel, hats and jackets.. Both in the men and woman's styles with a good variety of choices with other brands outside the main brands that every skater knows asides Hurley, burton, volcom, they also carry other names like huf, 686, bohnam, dark seas, Santa Cruz, rvca, brixton, Herschel, vonzipper, lrg are some to name off the bat here.. Yℴu can ask the workers about anything there and they will always have a answer for you.. Very nice skate shop and a welcoming experience to even beginners, an overall great shop!

I came in today after class around 3:10, immediately being greeted by the awesome staff. The selection of the shop was very good, they had many items for skateboarders, longboarders, snowboarders, and people who just want cool clothes. I was able to get the item I was looking for, however, what I appreciated the most about this shop hands down were the staff. They made me feel very welcome in the store and spoke to me in an extremely friendly manner. It felt like I was more apart of a community than me simply being a customer who was being sold an item to. Looking forward to finding a reason to visit the shop again. read more

Had a really positive experience in here today with the owner. I brought in my daughter and her friends with a longboard that she'd been given because the bearings were rusted. He was really great about explaining the differences with the bearings and then replaced them while we watched. He showed the girls how the bearings worked and made them all really happy by giving them skate stickers. The shop has a really nice vibe and also carries ski/board equipment. read more

Love this place. Great selection, very pleasant atmosphere. Beware, they do not serve food.

And I was sure hoping this shop was going to be my one stop for everything in Davis - shoes, boards, clothes, they even have straight razors which I actually use! However, make sure whatever you purchase from them fits or works properly because... returns... forget about it. Their policy, once you take it out of their shop... no takesbackskies. Not to mention, the guy working this afternoon was extremely rude while I was leaving the shop. Hope he learns that customers are your business and not the other way around. read more

Management is nice. The associates however were behind the counter laughing over a video on the Internet. The staff wasn't properly trained on heat molding boots and told us that they don't do that. We were told by management to come back and after we told them that the employee proceeded to call management and ask for assistance. Poor customer service at its finest. Not a good look read more
